One of my most beloved breakfast spots in Lancaster. You are nearly always able to get a table but it does get very crowded on weekends. The service is amazing and the building is quintessential small diner atmosphere. I typically stick with the skillets - I love the Greek Island Skillet - but the french toast and other sweet breakfast options are SO delicious. The Pantry also serves my favorite hash-browns ever. Something about the Rondelle sliced potatoes is amazing. Each side of the potatoes is crunchy and is a perfect texture addition to the skillet. read more

This is one of our favorite local breakfast stops. The service is fairly quick, the waitresses are welcoming and attentive , and the food is consistently good. We've noticed lately the specials have been really good, playing to the Pantry's strength as a breakfast/lunch location while also trying to introduce slightly new flavor profiles. Been a while since I've eaten there, but it's always been good. Personal preferences are the pancake and French Toast options. Always well dressed with fruit and other goodies. I'm not an omelette fan, prefer over easy eggs. Egg dishes are served in a skillet and continue to cook, so for my taste, the eggs get overdone. Not the restaurant's fault, just a preference thing. Easy to find for out of towners. Reasonable but not plentiful parking. We were seated right away. The place was clean and so was the bathroom. The waitress was attentive and polite. Small restaurant with a great skillet breakfast. Great service and not too loud. Would love a place like this!

We stopped by on Sunday around 12:30. The parking was a bit difficult, but we just waited until someone left (less than 5 minutes) and we took their parking spot. We waited approx 5-10 minutes to be seated by a friendly waitress after she cleared off 3 tables for those waiting. This isn't a fancy place and chairs etc could use some updating. The food was gooood! I enjoyed the French toast sampler. It was our first visit so I love having the sampler so I could try the croissant French toast etc. My husband had the loaded country skillet which he enjoyed. We didn't get any drinks because I am not a fan of Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets, but I actually love tap water and they had good water. When we left at 1pm there were empty tables so I would try to plan a later arrival next time so the parking is easier. Overall, I plan on returning and trying some other things on the menu. read more

We have been dining at this restaurant for about 20 years. We've always enjoyed the food. It's never been a fancy place; it's quite plain. I last visited about a month ago. While the food was ok but not up to its usual standards. Hot food shouldn't be served on cold plates. The physical appearance really needs some help. The seats are split, tables old and wobbly, windows drafty. There are no curtains or decor. All in all not a desirable place to eat. The sons have taken over from the parents. Coffee was decent, perfectly hot and plentiful. They serve soda/pop from individual cans so no refills, sadly. Ok. I've been a part of the Yelp community for years now and I've seen Yelpers that don't seem to understand the rating process when reviewing. They rate places wrongly. You're supposed to rate a restaurant based on your experience aligned with that specific place. A lot of yelper's reviews are rated like they're comparing that place to their favorite place they've ever been and that's not how to Yelp! The reason I say this is because I saw some of the ratings for this place and the fact that they don't have a perfect review boggles my mind. This place is special. Not to sound corny (and this is gonna be corny as hell) but when the main ingredient of a restaurant is 'love' it makes your place special. And this place is special. For a breakfast joint it doesn't get any better. And I don't know about everyone else but I could eat breakfast at any time of the day. I'm coming from New York and so many places in New York try and mimic a place like this and sometimes they nail it, but it usually lacks authenticity. This little country house breakfast place does what every restaurant tries to do but can't quite grasp perfect the concept and that's because of this place's location, (country side) Food, (fresh from their farm house) and staff (extremely nice and helpful.) our waitress was the real deal. And I noticed that other people that worked there helped out too. The price was really cheap too. Like too cheap. They could charge more and people (I think) would pay it because it's good quality food. I came here with my mom and daughter and we pigged out. We got so much stuff and shared it with each other. My favorite thing that I've never heard of before trying it here was their Egg sandwich pretzel roll. It was amazing. We got pancakes (amazing), egg breakfast platter (amazing,) eggs Benedict (insanely amazing) French toast (insanely amazing.) coffee (really great coffee.) This place is a winner and I'd hate to see it not get the recognition it deserves. So, eat here Pennsylvanians! Eat here today! Wow. First and last time there. Friendly staff don't make up for ants on the table, mediocre food, or hair in the coffee. Sat down to ant's crawling across the table. Food was warm at best. Pretty sure my French toast still had raw egg mix on it. Husband's skillet meal not even served in a warm skillet. Again, his food was lukewarm. I was a bit skeptical about this place upon entry, not too busy so always good to get in & out. They offer outdoor seating as well in the back of the restaurant. They offer both lunch & breakfast throughout the week except for Sunday that's a breakfast only day. We arrived for breakfast & I ordered the short stack pancakes & 2 eggs scrambled. I love me some pancakes but the pancakes were not that great, they we a bit doughy. I finished only about half before my colleague gave me her bacon cheddar wrap (much better choice). read more

We came in for breakfast on our way to shop in Lancaster. Its a very cozy and friendly vibe and it was pretty busy in there for a weekday - summer morning. There were a wide variety of breakfast choices and a good kids menu too which I appreciate. The breakfasts were served in metal bowls which I thought was great. I got a basic breakfast of over medium eggs, whole grain toast, homefries and crispy bacon. And boy did they make it crispy for me. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Found this spot by chance while driving through Lancaster. The service was great and they were on top of everything. This place is simply amazing for breakfast. Whatever you do make sure you get the Croissant french toast; Im not sure why more places havens caught on to how amazing this is. I will never eat normal french toast again!
