It's a Friendly's lol, you get what you expect. Average diner food with some pretty good ice cream. My go to here is usually the BBQ chicken melt or a burger. Can't go wrong. Even though the foods just ok the kids seem to love it and the prices are very fair. As a family of four it only costs about $50 for 2 adult meals, 2 kids meals, and 2 kids ice creams(which comes with the kids meals). The ice cream is usually pretty good and their is a wide variety of options. Gotta say my favorite is basic cookies and cream or mint chip. Overall a nice family diner spot that's very affordable and kids friendly. Enjoy! read more

My children and I came in for Fathers Day. Our Server Gianna R. Was FANTASTIC!! Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! We ordered the clam chowder, the shrimp and lobster quesadillas, the BBQ chicken melt and the bacon chicken quesadillas For desert we had Frenzy's and the peach/ strawberry sundae. We hadn't been bc the food & service weren't good going back over a year ago. We went today with 6 adults and one child after her recital and we were extremely happy! Our waiter, Steven, was great! He provided perfect service! The food was red hot, the Supermelts were full of chicken and just right. The burgers, Quesadillas and mini Mozzarella sticks all red hot and delicious! Steven also made us terrific Sundaes. He cleared are dishes as soon as we finished something, we were all so happy to see we've got a fantastic Friendly's to go to again! We were at friendlys Massapequa Park the other day with our grandkids. Turns out, I lost my wallet under our table but didn't realize it for a few days. Our waiter, Will Hartman, found it when sweeping up. He was actually going to bring it to our house but it got too late. There was quite a bit of money and credit cards in there that went completely untouched! Supervisor Tina, and mgr Kim Reyes held on to the wallet until we picked it up. I want to commend the integrity of all three of these employees as they do a great service to the good name and reputation of Friendlys!! You should be proud to employ such honest people at your establishment - they are too few and far between these days. Yum ! Came at 11:00 PM an hour before close and everyone was so nice. Our waiter was so happy and talkative!!! It was his second to last shift working there and made the best sundaes EVER!!!!! Post pandemic this Friendly's has gone downhill. Used to take my children here after school, had Melissa for our waitress then. Friendly's was good and Melissa was sooo nice. Melissa no longer there, new waitresses don't have a clue--more training needed. No pleasurable dining experience; food is low grade, burnt, tasteless, but Friendly's prices are out of control, regardless. Didn't eat a second bite of my last ordered meal, but waitress charged me over $22 plus tax anyway. I told the manager my experience and he took it off the bill. Waitress should have taken it off the bill when she saw that I didn't eat anything and told her that that the food was cold, tasteless, etc. read more

This is one of the better friendlys on the island. They've revamped the counter area to look nicer and menu the last few years to add some new food creations, new ice cream flavors and improved kids meals - they're keeping the menu interesting. I haven't been to Friendly's in over a year due to a sticker found in my food but decided I would bring my next door neighbor here for lunch since she loves this place. Overall, there are many options on the menu to chose from. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and my neighbor got the mini mozarella sticks and waffle fries. We waited an hour for 5 dinners & ice-cream before it was delivered freezing cold and inedible. We've been ordering for months due to illness at least 2-3 times per week. This was always a convenient & local place to order from. We've been trying to give all our local restaurants business. Oh well... No More Friendly's. Sadly that was our last Take out order!! I've been a Friendly's customer for many, many years. Today I can easily say was my last day there and I walked out getting nothing. Since long before I can remember, I have ordered food and ice cream WITH COUPONS via carryout. Suddenly, today, when I showed the coupon, they said I HAD TO eat there! The $2 off a medium sundae was suddenly not usable for carryout. SINCE WHEN???? The fine print reads "In Dining or Carry Out only." I also showed up wearing medical gloves and a face shield because since COVID, I don't like eating in public places without a face covering and it is hard to eat or drink with a face covering. I did not have time to sit down and eat my sundae there as I planned on taking it home to be put in the freezer to eat later as I don't eat ice cream in the morning. I texted my husband at work telling him the coupon will not be honored since he also prefers carryout. So that's another customer that Friendly's looses. I call the restaurant UNfriendly and I will unsubscribe from future Friendly's emails because I can't use them anyway since they suddenly don't allow carryout orders with coupons. If this is how they treat steady customers, then I am better off without this place. The sign outside needs to be changed to UNfriendly's. SAYONARA! I am NEVER going back to the Massapequa Park location. read more

One of the last Friendly's on the Island after many other locations closed down and can be very busy at times. If you go here, don't expect a five star meal or a quiet environment - that's not at all what this is. It's a family-friendly "restaurant" with children everywhere. The food is decent and the prices aren't horrible. Average meal price is probably around $10 and then extra for a drink plus $3-$7 for ice cream. The service is okay, nothing special and most servers seem like kids in high school or college. I tend to get either the crispy chicken wrap or the chicken bacon ranch salad and either are pretty good. Nothing special, again, but decent. read more

Been going to this friendlys for years! Service is always excellent. Jenn is our favorite waitress and we always make sure to request her when we go. Come on folks it's Friendly's - you should know exactly what to expect! It's an iconic chain of kid friendly restaurants and they are all 90% the same. This one is a nice size one located on a busy section of sunrise highway. My experience was as expected. Service was good, food was good and my kid had a good time. Would I ever come here on my own or with just my wife? HELL NO!! We have 1,000 better places to eat within a 20 mile radius but if your kids want to go to Friendly's then this one is a solid 4 out 5. And you should probably go soon since these franchises are disappearing the way of the dinosaurs, lol!! Long live the Fribble!! read more

I can't say enough great things about our recent visit to Friendly's! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and made to feel right at home. Our waiter, Luis, was simply outstanding--attentive, personable, and genuinely kind. He ensured our experience was seamless from start to finish, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The service was not only friendly but incredibly fast. As for the food, it was absolutely perfect. Our little boy had the sliders and couldn't get enough of them! Watching him enjoy his meal made it all the more special for us. My wife ordered the Philly melt, which she raved about--every bite was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I went with the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup, and let me tell you, it was the comfort food dream! The soup was rich and creamy, and the grilled cheese had the perfect golden crisp. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Luis truly made our evening with his outstanding service, ensuring that everything was quick and top-notch. It's rare to find such a blend of great food, fast service, and such a welcoming atmosphere all in one place. I first tried Friendly's about a year ago and was blown away. I'm serious. I know we're talking about Friendly's, but everyone and everything was so perfect, I just couldn't believe it. I decided not to leave a review at that time because I figured I probably just caught them on a really great night, right? Cut to: my 2-year-old and I had a dinner date there one night after soccer practice. We're sitting at a booth and everything was perfect again. Our waitress (I think her name was Angel?) was the sweetest. During our dinner, I saw another table secretly pay the check of a man who was eating there by himself. Then another table saw them pay and decided to pay the check of a different family. This place is like a time warp of goodness. Everyone is literally so friendly (pun intended) and I just don't see how anyone could have a bad time here. My son and I had dinner again tonight and there was no way I couldn't leave a five-star review. Sara the hostess is the best! She greets everyone with a smile and seems truly happy to be working there. Our waitress Laura was incredible. Our meals were cooked to perfection, and she made sure we loved our ice cream. It's official. I'm a Friendly's fan for life! read more

Me and a friend dined here on a Thursday night. Apps are half off after like 9pm and we also really wanted a fribble (milkshake), so we just couldn't resist. Our waitress' name was Mia and she had blue hair. She was awesome and saved us 10 dollars which was so nice. She was very attentive and even gave some good suggestions. So me and my friend ordered onion rings and mozzarella sticks collectively. Then my friend got the quesadilla and I got the sliders. Everything was great! This location is one of the best I've been to. the staff are always so pleasant and warm and really show they care for the customer. The food is also delicious and arrives to the table quickly! My favorite will always be the honey bbq super melt! truly a friendly's staple! if you haven't tried it yet you are totally missing out! the ambiance of the place is always (as the name implies lol) friendly! Not sure what happened to Friendlys in the past few years, but it isn't like I remember. The food wasn't very good and the service wasn't either. With other restaurants so close to this one, it's a better bet to hit IHOP or a diner at this point. read more

I ordered the friendly Frank as well as munchy mania with mini mozzarella sticks, chicken quesadillas, and buffalo chicken tenders. The mini mozz sticks were right from a supermarket freezer. They did not taste like friendlys recipe, more like reheated TGI Fridays fried mozzarella. Also the marinara sauce was ice cold. That was strike one. The chicken quesadilla was repugnant. The quality of the processed poultry was far below average. My first bite was rubbery and disgusting. I had to excuse myself from the table and spit it out into the toilet within the men's restroom (Guys, please don't do that at the table. Dinning etiquette 101). Needless to say, I did take another bite. The buffalo chicken tenders were rock hard, no pun intended. I could not even cut through them with a knife, and it was more fried bread than chicken inside. Perhaps that was a blessing in disguise after the previous quesadilla incident. The biggest offender of them all however, was the hot dog. I go to friendly's expecting a deliciously buttery and milked up Frank, and instead am greeted with yet another supermarket food product likely due to this locations stingy practices to save money on the real corporate food. The hotdog was likely a Sabret from stop and shop, it did not have the friendly's taste, nor was it as thicc as the real deal. It was a skinny little twig. Final offender? I ordered a Reese's frenzy, and all that was put in it was vanilla without any fudge or peanut butter, just pieces. You have gotta be kidding me! Be so for real. Needless to say, I was not feeling friendly after this meal. I am giving one star instead of zero as I do think it is a safe haven for the disabled community.
