Served nice and hot. Biggest flaw was the missing cheese on the Reuben wrap. Very disappointed at that oversight. Chicken quesadilla wrap was good but also on the dry side. Needed some sort of sauce. I understand people have had good experiences, but my experience was so awful if I could give them zero stars if I could. I came on a weekday morning and I ordered French toast and eggs with a decaf coffee. The first time they made me order, the middle was not cooked and the batter had no milk. The second time, it was dry without much of that French toast flavor and I couldn't finish it. I didn't ask for them to remake it since I had to get to an appointment. The two gentlemen cooking were pleasant and worked hard. However, the clerk behind the counter was rude. This place has been around forever and they still have the best omelette I've ever had! Every time I come home from NYC I HAVE to go to cravings. They really take the time to make QUALITY food no matter what it is. Their meat is excellent... smoothies... dessert... pastas... all too knotch. My family especially always likes the famous cravings Thanksgiving stuffing... my grandma will hate that I'm saying this but it TRULY is the best stuffing I've ever had. Watch out kitchen Kabaret... you have some MAJOR competition. Also... the food is 5 starts in itself ( and I'm a TOUGH critic) But more than that...their customer service is unbelievable. Robert has taken the time to know and remember literally every customer that visits that place... he treats everyone like family and owners in stores just don't seem to do that as much anymore. I was having a hard time a few months ago when I was home caretaking for my mother. I'd come in everyday for an omelette and that omelette honestly ... as silly as it sounds... is was the brightest part of my day. Meh, there are better deli markets in town. A coworker mentioned this place wasn't that great, but I wanted to give it a try. I ordered a turkey, ham and Swiss sandwich on a roll with some lettuce and mayo. I think I'm in the minority where Iike an equal amount of bread to my meat on my deli sandwich. I love bread! I got so much meat on my sandwich that I could make another sandwich with the amount I ended up removing. You'd think they were giving the meat away! I browsed the salad bar and it's nothing to sing about. It's kind of sad, sitting there in the middle of the store. I bought a drink with my sandwich (and contemplated getting a small bag of Tate's Cookies), and the total: $12.50! 12 freaking 50 for just a sandwich and a drink! I can go to Newsstand deli, get a sandwich, drink and dessert for about 10 bucks. I wonder what their hot food is like, but maybe another time. For now, I have other more amazing options. read more

The sandwich literally came with mayo turkey and cheese. I asked for some tomato, they tell me an extra charge. Are you serious? Already a $10 sandwich, now an extra charge. My tip for Cravings Market is don't go here. They consistently get orders incorrect. You have to watch the sandwich makers like a hawk and then get a nasty attitude when you correct them they are making the wrong sandwich. I like this place. Over the past few years, I had many lunches from Cravings. They have a wide variety of choices and the quality seems very good. I like their chicken meatballs on a roll with tomato sauce, seafood salad (which has suremi, shrimp and scallops mixed in) on a wrap, and the salad bar. You can sit and eat there but I never have. Not just another Long Island deli. They also do catering and gift baskets (which I also ordered from them once). Good choices, good quick service, good quality food, clean, large portions. I placed an order and the gentleman's name is Wills. He is the best person to take orders. Cravings is an extremely busy place and they have an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. A suggestion is to go online and see what they have to order. They do make substitutions. For example, I love their eggplant parmigiana and if it is not on the menu, ask if they can substitute what you love for what is listed. They also have specials where you will get more at a cheaper price. Because of their large menu, the specials and the volume, the employees in the order department sometimes become frazzled but not Wills. He is cool, calm and collected did I mention handsome. Stopped in the other day for lunch. I wanted a Panini sandwich. I ordered the chicken with broccoli rabe. It was pretty good. The chicken and broccoli rabe tasted fresh so no complaints there. I would have much preferred thick bread to a pita bread (that's what it looked like to me). I've had the salad bar numerous times and that also has been fresh and flavorful. Honestly if I want a salad bar I'm heading over to Stop and Shop up the road. Every bit as good and it's less expensive. I will agree with the other reviewers - this deli is a bit pricey - but keep in mind the location - you're in Plainview. It's not a cheap area. Will I go back - yep. Fun place. Bigger selection than you realize when walking in. They have everything you need for a good snack or a good meal. Went there for lunch after visiting the doctor next door. My wife ordered a grilled eggplant wrap and I ordered a panini ( which they ran out of)and a side salad . Bill was over 30$. When I got back home 20 minutes away and my wife sat down to eat her wrap it was completely wrong . (And they didn't charge you extra for wanting to use only egg whites). The butternut squash soup and seafood bisque were amazing - thick and creamy and fresh. They have different stations for your different palate from a Pizza station, to Deli meats to premade special meals and breakfast. All of their meats are Boars Head, and they run daily specials. I was able to get my friends favorite food of Honey Maple Turkey breast at a steal of $6.99 per pound (as their current promotion is any Boars head brand item is $6.99 per pound) (compared to 7.49 per pound.) The quality of the food is very good, and they seem to be quite organized for the size of the location. Many different 'cooks / chefs' who are able to assist you in deciding what kind of food you want, as well as helpful in assisting you with the different types of foods in their displays. Well managed and well maintained establishment with a private parking lot and is very easily accessible from Plainview Road. This is my first Yelp review, but I just couldn't let Cravings go without more recognition. Eleven reviews is far too few for a deli/market of this quality. Think the best parts of Whole Foods cafe-style counters. The pizza looks light years ahead, the angus burgers were calling my name, and the desserts are a perfect microcosm of Long Island bakery bests. My group's selections included a freshly made veggie omelet wrap (yes they do breakfast amazingly), one chicken and one pork/beef meatball, beautifully grilled veggies, a couple salads from the top top shelf salad bar, a delicious pesto pine nut capellini, an apple-berry muffin (from their selection of 20 muffins), some diet Boylan sodas and more classic NY bakery cookies than I care to admit. This isn't a restaurant, the cashier is set up like a market and it's plastic silverware at a small group of tables. I checked out Cravinngs today for lunch and liked it a lot. It is like a deli/grocery store/restaurant all in one. They have a huge glass display case with a variety of foods. A lot of premade Italian dishes that you can take home to make for dinner. I ordered a wrap which was ok. I also got some fruit from the salad bar. They also have pizza, fresh meat, pastas, sandwiches and desserts. Great setup and a good spot for lunch. I just had a party of 45 to 50 people at my house and decided to use cravings as the caterer. Tony the owner was so helpful in making choices and also helped me get a tent and tables and chairs. Everything went like clockwork and all of the selections made were absolutely outstanding. Just about everyone at the party was raving at how good everything was. Initially, I didn't think that I had enough of a selection, but Tony assured me I had more than enough and he also made sure that there were a good amount of leftovers so I sent people home with containers of food - and they all went !! These guys handle picky requests with ease and since I work with an office filled with picky neurotics, grabbing lunch here suits their needs. Imagine lots of "make sure the roast beef is pink" to "only ciabatta bread toasted then pressed" types of requests. Sure enough, the crew at cravings never give me attitude and always deliver.
