I set up an appointment to see a car i found on their website. I waited over an hour for them to bring it to me. It had snowed the night before and the drivers window was half way down. The drivers seat was full of snow. The check engine light was also on. They said they'd fix it before I left if I purchased it. I waited inside for some time, before looking at another vehicle. This was a no go either. I deal with severe anxiety and had been there for several hours. They finally showed me a Jeep Cherokee. It is not a car I ever wanted due to its small interior and bad reviews. At this point I just needed to get out of there. I filled out the loan papers on line, got the keys and left. Realized several days later, I had no idea what I paid for the vehicle or it's interest rate. 3 months later, a tire blew. I had to buy all new tires, since the ones on it were hard from sitting so long. Then the service 4wd light came on. I took it in and found out a part of the transmission had no fluid in it. I took it to a reputable mechanic for a bumper to bumper inspection. The front passenger strut was leaking and the rotars were all rusted, even though the pads were fairly new. The said they would fix the transmission part, but only replaced it with a part off a vehicle with 120,000 miles on it. I am still left with major items and costs that are unaffordable for me, being on disability. I encourage anyone who goes here, get a bumper to bumper inspection done in your 30 day warranty period. I Originally went to get this subaru forester.. which broke down not even before i got on the freeway, I went back got to the dealer and got a rental while they tried to figure out was wrong.. never found out so they switched for another, then another, then another literally bouncing around rental cars and spending money for a full cover insurance not that they didn't gave gas money or the tires were low pressure or something even ended wrong with the rentals. They only gave me back the money for one of those rentals and add it to my down payment .. after that i finally got a sub legacy took for inspection and costed me around 7k to fix, reasons were due to leaks and damages. I took it back to denver, (overheated on me many times before taking it to the dealer but i did not think it was going to be a big damage and also overheated when i took it back to the dealer.. keep in mind we live 2 hours away so this was really not convenient.. finally switch it one last time took for inspection and they gave me everything that was wrong with it, estimated total was over 4.5k told the dealership and the only thing they did was change all 4 breaks which was also inconvenient because i took it early in the day we literally waited 2 hours when we had stuff to do and when we came back to pick it up they didn't even start doing the work until i told them about my plans i had for that day.. we were literally just standing there watching them doing it and the moment we kept looking away they would get distracted.. at this point didn't even know what to and i couldn't get my money back because of the miles i've put on each car when literally they kept giving me broke cars and have to literally drive 200+ miles just to get to them. I wouldn't recommend buying here, i still have my camry since i fixed it but they lied to me all the times saying "the car is fine and doesn't need work" i really could have used all that money for something better and a different place.. thankfully priscilla was helpful but over all i honestly wouldn't buy a car here nor not even for the first time.. read more

Bought a car several months back, was made aware it was a rebuilt title. Long story short, it wasn't rebuilt and was salvage. I wondered why my rear tires wore out in about 7k miles, turns out they did not fix anything for the rear suspension and the control arms were cracked. They put some duct tape on it and called it good, leaving me with a ~$2300 repair. to top it all off, I paid cash for the vehicle, didn't finance, and somehow ended up waiting an hour and a half for them to put temp tags on. Turns out they also decided to put 3 different stickers on my car advertising for them while I drive around, despite me paying them for a car that would need a few thousand in repairs. Would not recommend to others and would not ever buy another car from Friend's Auto. read more

I sent $1000 deposit and was promised to ship the car in 2 weeks , 2 days later I was asked to make another payment of $500 , and after 2 days another payment of $500 ,while I was provided with fake tracking number on the fake shipment company's website. Very friendly, helpful and kind. Brenda was very sweet. Found a vehicle test drove it, found a couple things I would want fixed. The moon roof didn't open easily and there wasn't a key fob. They fixed the moon roof and called their person to program a fob and a spare key. All was done before we came back with money and the title for our trade-in. We took a test dry, but Tim the sales rep drove, everything seemed to be good, we asked to have the price lowered because of some minor cosmetic issues and he turned us down. I should have brought someone besides a couple of ladies that are not mechanically inclined, he claimed everything worked. We picked up the car Monday when driving out of the lot realized the speakers are blown which he said he can't fix the blinker on the front driver's side doesn't work, the back taillight doesn't work. the windshield wipers were old shredding and scraping the window, the check engine light was on but we were told once they did an oil change, they would reset it and didn't do any of that. Not to mention when we pulled up to this car lot thought it was a junk yard. That should have been our first red flag. After going back to have things fixed, he said it's used. I found a car I really wanted online (car guru.com) at Friends Auto. It DID show on line photo's of the hail damage, which was OK with me. The price was very reasonable due to the hail damage. They actually went "the extra mile" to fix the tail lights that were cracked from the hail damage although I didn't ask them to ! I DID request navigation to be fixed on the vehicle since it WAS the deciding factor between the touring model or a sport. They DID get that done also ! Purchased two cars from Friends Auto. Both times the cars started leaking within a month. Both needed major repairs( water pump and transmission). I also had to purchase my own key fobs which are not cheap for both cars because they only came with one regular key. Would not purchase from here again. If I could leave less than one star I would. I live quite the distance away from this dealership however, I really liked the price of a used vehicle they had in their inventory. So on October 3rd I decided to get a head start on my car buying process and submit an application on their website. I had visited Friends Auto Sales website (after viewing their advertisement on the Facebook Marketplace) with serious intention to consult with a sales rep after submitting an online credit application for a vehicle I was interested in. My first initial point of contact was through messaging their business through Facebook. It took five days for a sales representative (not to mention anyone's name) Frezer Gobena (ALSO HIS EMAIL STATES HE IS THE OWNER!!!!!!) to reach out to me after calling the dealership directly, Frezer directly (his phone number he later decided to give me after bugging him to call me in response to my application) and I sent messages on facebook requesting for some sort of response from them. I have also submitted very important personal documentation that had sensitive information on it per his request (sometimes additional documentation is needed during the application process so I emailed those papers directly to him). After sending that information (October 8th), it took two days for him to respond back to me on an approval. This approval was emailed to me with MANY discrepancies on the form (which I called the following business day to inform him the documentation he provided me was inaccurate and that he needs to speak with finance and get it corrected). I had sent him an email reminder on October 11th that I was still waiting for him to contact me back and provide the correct documents. At this point I am extremely frustrated because I was ready with money in hand to purchase the vehicle I applied for. I shouldn't have to babysit staff to make sure that not only that all forms are correct, but at least staff (Frezer Gobena to be specific) should have the decency to take initiative and provide excellent customer service to those who may be potential clients. Frezer Gobena had promised a call back after sending me an email in response to me asking him to review the documents. Which we later discussed over the phone that the vehicle had sold (which was no problem because I had back up choices that I wanted to consider purchasing at their dealership). I relayed to him that I would like to try and apply for another vehicle that day and he promised me with a call back. October 16th comes up and I know that my credit application is about to expire on the 24th of this month and I'm livid and I still have yet to hear back from the "Owner". I decided to send another email on the 16th to Frezer Gobena again, asking politely to speak with someone else possibly a sales manager on the floor (I didn't know who else to ask for, I wasn't trying to submit another credit application and have another inquiry on my credit). That same exact day he only replies with ONLY a name and phone number. No apology, nothing... I contacted the person with the phone number he gave me (Walelegh Abebe) and spoke to him about my horrible experience I have been having with Frezer. Left with empty promises to call back I still have not heard back from anyone. I strongly urge those who are even thinking about shopping at this dealership not to. No matter if you tell them that you have money in hand to buy a car... They are unprofessional, they don't take their applicants seriously and they refuse to be accountable for their actions. Sucks to say I have a pointless inquiry on my credit because of their failure to follow through on a potential sale. Honestly, never in my years of car buying experience have I ever had to deal with such disrespectful staff. Usually they are waiting at the door for us begging for a sale to make commission. If I could give this "establishment" a negative star I would. I purchased a car via cash from Friends Auto Sales on 09/18/20. I have not received the title, and the dealership has been utterly unprofessional and rude. They initially did not answer nor return my calls regarding the status of the title. I was able to get a response and an apology after I contacted the dealer board, yet it is 02/3/2021 and still no solution. The second temporary permit already expired. The dmv is asking them to write them a letter explaining why it has taken so long. The dealership lied and said they would send the letter and rudely hung up on me while on the phone. His explanation for not processing my documents was "I was not working for a month" not a sole apology nor a valid excuse. If you don't have any other workers that can continue the workload, perhaps you should not be open to the public at all. Consequently, the dmv stated they never sent the letter. I have been more than understanding with this dealership, yet all I have received from them have been rude encounters. DO NOT go to this dealership unless you want to waste your time, and potentially have a heart attack with the amount of frustration endured from their terrible customer service. read more

Purchased 2010 Chrysler Sebring six months ago from friends auto sales for $3400 cash. They had to replace the cadalytic converter for Colorado emissions and they fixed the sunroof at nothing extra. I had to pay them to replace a sway bar and a tie rod ($200). Fast forward to now...Any little bump on the road and the entire car shakes. I take the car to have it inspected. I'm informed that the front control arm needed to be replaced when the sway bar and the tie rod were replaced but wasnt (HELLO). The rear wheels are in such bad shape the vehicle is deemed UNSAFE TO DRIVE. The left rear strut is "beyond blown out" according to the mechanic I took it to. Struts and springs on right rear is almost as bad. Cost for repairs $3500 to $4500. Transmission is leaking, Blown engine mount..shall I keep going? Ok...drivers side quarter panel is a different color than the rest of the car, air condenser for the air conditioning is leaking. There is also some other nonsense with the car that I won't go into here. Who do you answer to? I dont want to believe that its just a case of you not having a conscience so if you were informed that the car had been inspected and was safe to drive them you were lied to. I've had my daughter in the car on the highway with semi trucks behind us. You got away with it. Your a used car salesman. Shady, criminal?...correct adjectives. In the end its my fault for trusting you and not having the car inspected prior to purchase. read more
