Massive amazing burrito . Soda was bought elsewhere to show size .
    Kern C.

If I were to nitpick it'll be that my burrito could've had less rice and more chicken and if they had a Baja taco instead of tilapia. But I wouldn't be any more harsh on this amazing meal I had . The chicken burrito itself is one of the largest I've had and will pack a major punch so try to go on an empty stomach . The flavor though is so good with the seasonings and textures all complimenting each other . I did also ask for medium salsa so that added some as well . Will also add guacamole the next time . Most importantly the food sits really good on the stomach . Price wise this place offers an exceptional value and it might be my new go to for an occasional burrito.

Love their burritos, ready quickly and always hot. Sodas are delicious, and prices can't be beat. They are willing to customize your burrito- I like less rice and more cheese, and my roommate prefers no sour cream. Their guac is delicious if you want to splurge a bit! When the weather is nice, you can sit outside at their outdoor tables. (No heat, but the burrito keeps you warm in cold weather!) My new go-to burrito spot.

    Chicken Pollo Asado Bowl

Better than Chipotle!! I've been stuck on the bowls for like 6 months..(I'll try something else on my next trip). but every bowl is delicious and each ingredient has its own taste and not just Sazon. If you love good, delicious, wallet friendly food, try this local restaurant.

Pollo asado means grilled chicken. There is little to no chicken here.

There are very few places that make me wish there was a zero-star option on Yelp. This place is one of those places. There are places with bad food prep, meager meat portions, and low-quality ingredients. This place seems to cover all those bases. I ordered a plate that is named "Pollo Asado." In Spanish, that means "grilled chicken." So naturally, I expected to get that when my food was delivered. Instead, I got something completely different. There was little-to-no actual chicken in my pollo asado plate. What little there was, looked like the skin or ligament of the chicken. The rest of the food looked like rubbish. This was so bad, that I called UberEats and told them how this place misrepresented its food. They offered me a refund, and from there, I ordered from a place that serves actual quality food. I will never order from here again. I hope for their sake that they improve their food, and stop misrepresenting what they offer.

Aluminum foil in side of beans

The food at Frijolito's is typically very good and reasonably priced, but our side of beans had a large piece of aluminum foil sitting right on top. We couldn't eat them, and this could have really hurt us had we not seen it. Very disappointing, and seems to be a concerning trend in some reviews here of foreign objects in the food.

Really nice Mexican food If you're up this high. The mixiote torta was great. The chicken was spiced really nicely. The guac was good too. The burrita really really pleasant and only $3. The fish al pastor Taco was also good. Had a decent flavor and was filled nicely. Double tortillas as is tradition too.

The front of house "girls" said a table would be available 1-2 hours but a seat at the upstairs bar was immediately available...tired and hungry we agreed. The kicker was: the upstairs tables were *completely unoccupied* and remained so for the hour or so it took to serve us a couple of drinks and eat a meal while seated at the bar. While the food and bar service was great, we expressed out disappointment of not being allowed to sit at a table in the *entirely vacant* upper level (BTW, it was wonderfully quiet up there, compared to downstairs). Excuses ranged from "short staffed" (despite three young women at front of house being deep in conversation with themselves) to "no server upstairs" , both clearly BS as someone clearly served us, but they were apparently "runners" not "servers". WTF? Seriously?! Heaven forbid two people sit at a table in an otherwise totally empty upper level. We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.

Decent size Mexican restaurant with some seating in the front and a handful of tables in the back dining room. We started with chips and guac. The guac is large so I understand the price. The steak was tender and had pretty good flavor. I just wish there was more. Especially considering the price. Certainly not a bad quesadilla but the value wasn't quite there. Still, a fine option if you want Mexican food and you are in the area. I'd say the 3.5 rating is pretty spot on.
