PARKING: Didn't love the parking sitch here. If it's your first time, look for the color blue. They don't validate, so expect to pay $8 per visit, but it's worth it. They are in building 99, and blue is the corresponding color. COMFORT: Yooooo. Cocktails, blankets, headphones and movies, neck warmers, and more? Here for it. Plus, the office is a vibe. I could've saved myself a lot of wasted energy and time but GOD does work in mysterious ways, He saved me! The only positive result that came away from this whole experience was that I didn't continue forward as their patient, thank GOD! So this is what happened, my dental need was for a bad cavity filling in one of my back teeth that makes it unbearable to chew, so I can't eat nor drink on that back side. Imagine that discomfort and obstacle that I have lived with all day, everyday smh. I was first seen by Dr. Sharmin for my initial consultation and exam, he then referred me to Dr. Mojd ( Endodontic ) who was nice and helpful, suggested that I come back to repair and restore the refilling. This is when it went downhill, on my way out the female staff who work the front desk and including the office manager, all lack professionalism and competence which revealed a major red flag. Both Martha and Lauria refused to schedule me until I could receive a confirmation from my insurance company for payment verification authorization. Unless they said, I can pay out of pocket then I can schedule. *HERE'S THE KICKER! When I told them that I can't pay out of pocket and after the insurance company called them to discuss authorization, they switched up saying that their office doesn't do this type of work and that I need to go else where. **THE SAD PART: is that they admitted to my insurance on a recorded call that would only see me if I pay out of pocket, so which one is it? This is how they got caught up in their lies, so now they are confirming to schedule me for the procedure ( they claim, they don't do at their office. ) only if I pay out of pocket. ***ESCALATED THE CALL TO OFFICE MANAGER: She was no help, undermined me, dismissive, was more confused than me and didn't even know what was going on other than that I couldn't get scheduled. So I made an appointment at the little dollhouse in the middle of Clarendon. Merry (like Christmas LL), the office administrator took my initial call and was extremely accommodating to my schedule. Dr. Mooney administered the examination and performed the extractions I ended up needing. Her bedside manner is phenomenal and patience nothing less than virtuous considering the 2 year old I become when in the dentist chair. But I have to say my ABSOLUTE favorite part of the entire experience was meeting Mickey, the dental assistant. She was a joy throughout the entire process. Genuinely caring, kind, gentle and empathetic. I am grateful to have met her and will now look forward to dental appointments knowing she will be there. Apparently I had some calculus that required additional work which resulted in the extra charge but no one told me about this during the cleaning, even though I asked "is this included?" every step of the way. The billing person at the end also tried to tell me that with this additional fee to clean calculus (roughly $60), insurance might deny the cleaning so I might be sent a bill for that ($53) by insurance (what?) I insisted that made no sense as cleaning was explicitly covered by insurance, but said was willing to pay the calculus cleaning charge since it seemed legit. I now fear that I shouldn't even have paid for that. The whole thing made me not trust the clinic. If you are not familiar with insurance or a naturally shy person, I would suggest that you would need to step outside your comfort zone to visit this place for the billing conversation.
