He left me with scar tissue , horrible burn on my skin , and worst of all a dented lop sided belly where he suction way too deep on one side , my stomach will never be the same . As a result i had to go to a REAL PLASTIC SURGEON to get a tummy tuck (i had a hard time finding a surgeon because of the severe damage to my belly ), and even tho the real surgeon did a great job and was able to remove the burn skin n the big dent on my stomach , i still need procedures to smooth out the damage Heron did to my belly . I can go on about my horrible experience at HERON MED SPA , Dr.ROY HERON , Mrs Heron (very rude lady) but my review would be way too long .PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN AND HIS SO CALLED MED SPA!!!!!

So now I am on the hunt for a BORED CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON (which he is not) that can fix what Dr. Heron has done.

As a black woman going into any medical practice, it feels akin to a black man at a traffic stop. I immediately feel fearful, unseen and wonder if my concerns will be disregarded. This is definitely not the case here. Dr. Weintritt is super smart, informative, checks on you along the way, is warm, and takes his time. You don't feel like rushed through the process. I am so grateful to him and his team of wonderful professionals.

However as luck would have it, it became necessary to remove half of my thyriod, and I was referred to Dr. Weintritt. As others have stated, the pre-op appointments went great and hastle-free. He was very good about addressing my (many) questions and concerns. Surgery day was last Tuesday, and I was up and around (with no need for opioids) the next day! By Friday, I was forgetting that I actually had a surgical wound. It's been a week now and I feel like it never even happend! I'm shocked at how efficient and pain-free this procedure was! If you need thyroid surgery, this is the surgeon to do it! BTW, his office staff is great, and has been nothing but very friendly and accomodating to me. Big ups all around!

When I called the next day to make sure I could use both Groupons for the same visit, I was told that I couldn't have made an appointment for the time I had selected - even though I did - and that I hadn't read the fine print on the Groupon. Then the owner got on the phone and was extremely rude about me changing my appointment, even though the information on their patient portal was incorrect and it had allowed me to schedule with a doctor that no longer worked there. When I selected a different date, the own sarcastically said, "Was that so hard." I could not believe how rude she was being with me, when I was just trying to schedule an appointment. Also, the owner was incorrect about what the fine print says on the Groupon, claiming it requires one purchase to be used as a gift, when it doesn't say anything like that. Customer Support at Groupon was so alarmed by the owner's behavior that they allowed a full refund for both Groupons. Do not patronize this business. They are extremely rude on the phone.

I cannot recommend Dr. Kochuba enough! He is a true artist and a double board certified plastic…read moresurgeon who went above and beyond in every way. After having six children, I had significant abdominal muscle separation (diastasis recti) that left me feeling defeated even after working out consistently at the gym. Dr. Kochuba repaired it beautifully, along with addressing the capsular contracture in one of my breasts. The results are truly amazing. I look like a new person. My abdomen is flat and strong again, something I thought I'd never have again! I feel confident in ways I haven't in years. From the very first consultation to the most recent post op appointment, Dr. Kochuba provided expert care. He took the time to listen to all my concerns, answered questions, and made me feel at ease. His attention to detail and surgical skill are outstanding. Recovery was great compared to most experiences I read about and I credit this to Dr. Kochuba's excellent surgical skill. He truly cares about delivering the best possible outcome, both visually and physically, and it shows in the results. The entire team at Austen-Weston was fantastic as well. Simone was wonderful (and patient, as I had many questions!) during my consultation, Katrina made sure I was comfortable and prepared the morning of surgery, and Anastasia provided caring support during my overnight stay, which I highly recommend adding on if you can. Even the Anesthesiologist did a perfect job and I wasn't even nauseas when waking up after surgery, which has happened every other time I've been put under. Every single staff member was professional, kind, and attentive. If you are considering restorative surgery, especially anything involving the abdomen or breast revision, Dr. Kochuba is the surgeon you want. He exceeded all my expectations and I am forever grateful for the transformation he gave me. Highly, highly recommend!

Recently, I went back for a second procedure, but this time after donating a kidney. The pre-op was a mess, including: - The practice contacting my transplant surgeon for clearance, even after I asked them not to. (At this point, she has no obligation to me except for routine monitoring. Plus, I haven't seen her as a patient since I donated four months ago.) - My "patient advisor" telling me, inaccurately, that they are concerned about my "liver" function. I pointed out that my liver function is just fine. - My "patient advisor" telling me that my (bad) kidney numbers "keep going up, up, up." That's simply not accurate. - The "patient advisor" telling me that they would give me Celebrex post-op. My response: "Um, no. As I told you earlier, as a kidney donor, I cannot take NSAIDs." - My "patient advisor" falsely telling me, apropos a possible discount, "As I told you earlier...." Again, that simply didn't happen. - The practice ignoring my PCP's clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months. - The practice ignoring my nephrologist's verbal clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months due to a minor blip in my kidney numbers. To be clear, they should have asked my nephrologist about a pre-op evaluation, not my surgeon. I'm pretty disappointed, as this was going to be my present to myself after kidney donation. To be clear: I appreciate their being careful. But when we are talking about my health, accuracy is key. And I am just not seeing it. Plus, while these inaccuracies may not be a big deal when individually considered, taken as a whole, they are deeply concerning. And I don't know how a patient can give informed consent when they are getting bad information about being given NSAIDs, etc. In fact, I don't know why you would give an NSAID to a patient post-surgery, but perhaps I'm missing something. I should also state, in fairness, that my patient advisor is very new, so that may be part of the issue. She also is not an RN, which is okay, but then she should have a high level of basic medical knowledge-like knowing that you cannot give kidney donors NSAIDs. I've asked for my deposit to be refunded and plan to go elsewhere. I'd love to recommend this practice, but I can't.

She is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and caring, and she always made me feel safe and well supported throughout the entire process. It has been about three months since my surgery in October, and I truly love how I look when I see myself in the mirror. For a long time, I did not recognize myself and it made me feel sad. I avoided photos and never felt comfortable being photographed, even with my daughter and granddaughter. Now I feel like myself again. I feel beautiful, confident, and at ease, and I no longer feel the need to hide or fix my face or neck in photos. Dr. Costeloe gave me back my sense of self, and I am deeply grateful to her. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering facial surgery.

While there was improvement in the overall shape of my arm compared to before surgery, the outcome still feels unfinished. The biggest issue is the scarring. At a year out, it's still very visible dark in color and somewhat raised in areas. I expected more fading and blending by now. The surrounding skin also has uneven pigmentation and texture that hasn't fully resolved, which makes the area stand out more than I'd like. From a contour standpoint, there's improvement, but not the tight, clean look I was hoping for. There's still some softness and lack of definition in parts of the arm that I thought would be addressed with the procedure. To be fair, this isn't a disastrous result, but it's also not a "wow" outcome. It feels like I got about 50% of the result I expected, and the remaining 50% mainly scar appearance and skin quality was never fully addressed or managed. If you're considering this procedure, I'd strongly recommend having a very detailed conversation about scar management, realistic outcomes, and what follow-up treatments might be needed to get a more polished result. I think I would have benefited from more guidance and a clearer plan for the healing phase beyond the initial surgery. Overall: noticeable improvement, but not as refined or complete as expected a year later.
