It looked fine but I was waiting for another company to come out before I decided. I replied that I would get back to them the following week. Tuesday the 18th, I emailed saying I wanted them to do the work, but I had a couple of questions. No response to this email. Wednesday the 19th I called the phone number on their website and here -- the phone number that apparently worked just fine when I was trying to get the estimate. No response. Thursday the 20th I called again. No response. I am so baffled by these companies that do not communicate with customers that want to hire them. UPDATE: He did not call me back after "checking his schedule." And why no response to my first phone call the previous day? He also seems to indicate that he received my first email, but not my second. I can post a screen shot of it, Jason, so frankly, I don't believe you. The fact is, you decided my job was too small to bother with, so you thought you would just ghost me. But then posted a response to my first review here within two hours of its appearance! I believe future potential customers should be warned about the lack of courtesy and professionalism. Obviously I have moved on and am looking forward to reviewing your competitor.

From responsiveness, work ethic and impeccable service, Hancock should be your first and only call, when needing fence work! I initially reached out to Hancock via Yelp, of course ‍ Tyler immediately responded and didn't waste any time answering all of my concerns. The next day he came out to walk/measure our fence and give me some bid options to replace both sides of two alleys, front of our house sections, one new gate (we were eliminating the backyard gate), remove a section along our driveway and add an auto-gate. Our neighbor had already replaced our shared section of fencing. Their bids do not include staining, but the company they recommend, Ultimate Wood Care, is equally as awesome and reasonably priced. Since we were upgrading to 8' board on board w an auto-gate, I knew it was going to be expensive. Our property sits on a half acre and our driveway is 30' wide. So we probably have double linear feet and width of driveway. But it is true what we all say, "you get what you pay for." Yes, it was expensive, but this fence isn't going anywhere, the fence is built w steal fence posts, cedar pickets, the front gate is framed w steal and the auto-gate is the icing on the cake! Additionally, if you spend big bucks on their premier fencing, you'll get a 10 yr warranty! This warranty has been incredible. We had a couple of boards crack and I simply notify Tyler w photo of picket, he sends his guys out the very next day and they not only replace it with a new picket, they stain it to match the color of our existing stain! Next, Tyler gave me their bid, I approved, he got necessary city permits and the guys were out and demoing our fence the very next Monday morning at 9am! Tyler's guys are punctual, respectful, hard working, do a hell of a job removing/replacing fencing as well as installing auto-gates and very dependable. Having worked in the construction business, as Operations Manager for 17 yrs in Austin, I am super picky and very vocal regarding punctuality, dependability, cleanliness on job site and completing work in a timely manner. Hancock fencing is above and beyond my "high bar" expectations. The guys showed up on time every morning, left our property immaculate at the end of each day, worked a full hard days work and completed our fence in a 5 day work week! Long version: Scenario - It's a freezing (sub 40 degree) day in North Texas and I'm out of town on a business trip with my wife, son and mother-in-law at our home in Flower Mound. Wife calls and says the heater is not kicking on. She calls an HVAC company who comes by checks the heater in the attic and says, the unit is working however there is a pipe that vents through the roof of the attic that seems clogged or bent, but they don't do those type of repairs and she would need to call a roof company. Frantically, I scour Yelp for a good review and find people glowing about Bret's service and I give him a call. It's late in the day on Friday and when I explain the scenario, he immediately sprung into action and helped us resolve the issue. I'm going to highlight multiple reasons why Bret, owner of Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing will always have my business for roof and fence needs for as long as I live in the DFW metroplex. 1. Promptness - When I called Bret although it was later in the day, he was willing to head to our home and check out the situation, getting to our home in a couple of hours due to the severity of the situation. 2. Honesty - He took photos of the situation and gave a fair assessment of the situation. In this instance he said, "I don't have all of the parts that I need now but I can get you up an running for today, and then come back next week after I'm able to get the parts when I can get to a supply shop" 3. Thorough - He was on the roof, in the attic, and investigating the situation from every angle. Shared photos of his assessment, and was descriptive about what he was doing. 4. Genuine - The first time he came to the house, he hopped on FaceTime to talk to me and make me feel at ease with him at the house with my wife and family. You can look at someone's eyes and know that they are being sincere, that is this guy 100% 5. Follow up - It took him coming to the house a few times to get the situation completed, and I had to ask him for an amount that I owed him. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied before asking for money. A true stand up guy, good business man, and yes, the roof is fixed, the exhaust pipe repaired, and the heat is working. These are all pictures that Bret provided, the first four (4) showing the problem and the last two (2) showing the repaired duct work and exhaust/vent pipe Although this was not a typical roofing job, Bret went above and beyond to make sure our family was warm and comfortable.
