We absolutely loved staying here. It's very homey and genuine. The website doesn't do it justice. The amenities seemed very limited on the site but they have a hairdryer you can use (I brought mine thinking it wasn't available), they will provide towels for the jacuzzi, there is a microwave and fridge in the room. A private bathroom in the room and a small kitchenette. We asked about the rooms when we got there. The site was confusing. We thought it was a shared bathroom for everyone. That's not the case. Most rooms have their own bathroom. The staff is very personable and helpful for local tips. The breakfast was very good. They cook a hot breakfast to order. Our first morning there, we had a hiccup and I think we were forgotten about after we ordered food. We waited an hour and finally left. We were so late getting on the mountain. We didn't get our first run til 11. Other than that one issue, everything has been great and the breakfast the following two mornings came out within mins. I think it was an honest mistake but we all just brushed it off. Thank you, Claire for your hospitality. You made our home away from home very comfortable. I had to write a review. This was so worth it. I looked at the reviews before we came to see how the beds are. The mattress is comfortable in the room we had. I didn't wake up feeling like I was hit by a bus. They have an entire dvd collection that we put to good use. The town is very cute and great food locally. There is a bus that will shuttle you to copper and breck. The hot tub fits about 6 in there. We had a delightful stay at the Frisco Lodge. It was a surprise stop after insane traffic leaving Denver so we didn't research anything in advance. It's more like a traditional B&B. Our room had a shared bath with 4 other rooms. But we never ran into a problem. There were 2 bathrooms for 8 rooms upstairs. A few also had their own en suite. The room was well appointed, the hosts were delightful and full of recommendations for the village. The courtyard is adorable but it was a bit too chilly to spend much time there. Walking distance to everything in the village. And breakfast was SO good. They went out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free options which was so kind. This place is fantastic! We enjoyed our stay so much we cancelled other reservations to come back to stay at this place. The hospitality and service was above and beyond. The rooms are so cute, great bathrooms I love the old vintage style. The full breakfast is great, happy hours were legit. The common room has a ton of games and a piano. Great for socializing or just hanging out. Hot tub was great. Did I mention how good the breakfast was? Like wow. The two main women working there were so kind and made us feel very welcome. What a fab stay here! Sally was so incredibly welcoming and kind when we arrived after a 5 hr trip. Bike storage, comfy rooms and right in the middle of frisco. You're walking distance to everything, including trails! Only comment for those who need it, there is no AC (at least in our unit), but it was fine and very quiet sleeping with the window open! read more

29 Apr 23 - checked into this lodge that said it had free breakfast, Happy Hour with snacks etc. and made the reservation from the 29th until the 1st of May. Was very disappointed in our room because the motel is very old and the only good thing about the room was that it had a walk in shower. After we checked in I had to go to the bathroom so when I sat down to use the bathroom the wooden toilet seat was broken. I had to go get the lady that checked us into the room and she replaced the wooden toilet seat right away. While she was in the room we told her we could not get the TV to work so she unplugged it and got it to work. The whole time we were there the TV was acting weird. Breakfast was limited to a few items so we only ate there once and I had wheat toast and my husband only had coffee which was at room temperature and not hot. Met some nice couples the morning we ate breakfast there. We never went to their Happy Hour or used their hot tub. Think we will rent a Airbnb next time. I like more modern places to stay at but when we left a lot of the rooms were occupied so I guess their are other people that like to stay in Historic buildings. Was a good experience though and the people that work at this motel were very accommodating and friendly! read more

Checked out of this place today and there's so many good things I have to stay about this establishment...first off, location is perfect. It's on Main St. literally in the middle of everything. Hospitality was one of a kind..it felt like I was staying at a family member's home, or how one of the girls that work there mentioned "it's like visiting grandma's." It's soo cozy and warm and inviting. Thank you to Ashley who checked us in and served our Happy Hour that day, and thank you to Kimberlin who hung out with us downstairs one night and struck up some good conversation with us. She heated up some soup and served us wine even though it was like 9pm because we had missed happy hour earlier. They have Happy Hour every day with hors d'oeuvres, complimentary wine, and even live music which was so nice and relaxing. In the winter they serve some homemade soup with all of that...I had the beer cheese soup and chili while I was there and both were so good. How kind of Kimberlin to still serve us that late..like I said, the hospitality here is genuine and warm. They also offer complimentary breakfast which is just as delicious. I became addicted to the waffles and the homemade batter they have and had multiple every morning...lo I don't agree with some previous reviews stating that this place is "dated." To me, dated means run down and dirty. Frisco Lodge did not appear that way at all. This place was built in 1885 and I truly feel that they try to maintain the classy vintage look and homey feel that it originally started off with. Everything in our room was clean and well functioning. Bed was comfy ! I believe they have some rooms with shared baths, although we opted for the queen bed with private bath located in the second building. We have never stayed somewhere so charming as this. If you are looking for a nice stay away from the commercialism of the resorts in Summit Co, Frisco Lodge is a good find if you're looking for a B&B. It's an historic inn (the original structure was built in the late 1880s) located in the heart of downtown Frisco within walking distance to good restaurants, great bars, and shopping. Rooms are nice sized and beds are comfortable. The staff are all very accommodating, and they offer complimentary happy hour serving wine and appetizers. The only downside was the breakfast which was fairly disappointing over our two night stay. Not sure what was going on with the breakfast, but the hot food seemed to be of the pre-prepared food you might get at a chain hotel. The parfait was good, though, and the waffles looked good. read more

We didn't experience most of the b&b features, so I can't comment on those. The place looks charming, and was clean. Check in was easy and we love the location. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable and loud, so we ended up getting a very poor night's sleep. Would have been nice if they had some sort of fan or sound machine option to help block out noise as well. Although we love the convenience of being downtown Frisco, we would choose a standard hotel a few minutes drive away next time in order to get a better nights sleep. read more

We loved this place!!!! The staff were incredible friendly and helpful- we were charmed by our welcome by Kimberlyn for sure and Ashley was so helpful and fun. The happy hour included in the price was such a pleasant surprise! We each got two glasses of wine (one each we chose as a pop tail which was a Chardonnay popsicle- see the picture!) There were also cheese and crackers and other snacks including their specialty hot pickles. There is neat seating for the happy hour and breakfast. Such a charming place. We stayed in a beautiful room that is in the part where you share a bathroom with other guests which I think they call "European style". That was ok and helped bring our room cost down. They have other rooms that do include private bathrooms. You are right on Main St so you can hear a little noise from your window from people walking by but the lodge was quieter than we expected as we were sleeping. We thought the breakfast was yummy with great options. We were so excited to take advantage of the free bikes and loved getting to ride through town and around the marina!!! Found this little cute bed and breakfast place and I'm glade to say it was the best bed and breakfast lodge! It's an older lodging in Frisco, Co but service was great and the breakfast and happy hour were exceptional! Even though I stayed in a room with shared bathroom, it was not an inconvenience. The only downfall is getting used to the squeaking bed and the footsteps outside our door, but it's to be expected especially in an older place built in 1885. In addition, no problem about parking. This was also within drive from Breckenridge or going up north to Georgetown or Denver. Most likely would book this place again if I visit Colorado! read more

We checked out bikes for free and rode up to Copper Mt. All the employees and the owner were very nice and made us feel welcome. We *loved* it here! My mother had made reservations but had a back injury and so gave us the room for the night. The Property is on main street and they have suggestions on where to go for dinner. Great property - private parking. Private outdoor hot tub with fireplace. Breakfast to die for. Kind little dog wandering around. The bedroom essentials were a little worn. In fact, our tv remote was dead, but not so bad that we couldn't deal. Arrived at 6pm, just in time for wine, cheeses, deviled eggs, chips, dips, etc. I understand that in winter they serve hot soup as well. We didn't even unpack; just grabbed our wine and appetizers and sat by one of 5 fountains/waterfall features while music played. Great place to unwind! Lovely old-fashioned room, small, with king size four poster bed. The room size may bother some; it didn't us. Also, I understand some rooms come with shared bathrooms. Ours was ensuite. This place has been family-owned for 50 years, so they know how to treat guests. Breakfast was AMAZING, with any kind of cappuccino or latte you wanted to top off a full breakfast with homemade jams. Guys, it is time to update. Though very neat and clean, the cottage is lacking in a couple of important areas. The bathroom is part of the closet, which gives plenty of space but not much privacy. The shower (no bathtub) is small and is made effectively smaller by a built in seat. The DVD player video works, but there is no audio. It is hooked to the TV through an ancient amp/tuner that is at least 30 years old. OK, maybe 25. On the positive side, the TV is a small but nice Sharp Aquos flat screen, and the cable seems to work fine. But come on, a home theater unit is $200. We paid that much for ONE NIGHT. Overall, the folks whom own and run the place are very nice. Breakfasts are a nice bonus. Just don't expect modern or new features, it is very homey. read more

We had a great night's stay at this swanky-charming little place. The decor is very lovely and it was very old-fashioned, albeit older than what you would see in a chain-hotel, but I'm quirky enough to actually find these places more interesting. I'm sorry to say that for once we were the people running the water/shower at late hours. If you are in the area, this is a great location and cozy little lodge to stay at. I didn't actually try the "gourmet" breakfast but I kept hearing from the owners how nice it was. They are pretty nice and gave us a discount since I wasn't about to stay here for the high price they were asking since there were other hotels which were quite a bit cheaper. But this place definitely made for a much more unique and special experience staying here at the Frisco Lodge. Our trip was memorable just because of the beautiful decor and charm associated with this little gem. I would highly recommend staying here if you are from out-of-town or just want a nice getaway. Also to note, this place is located in a very convenient area on the Main St...close walking distance to the small shops in the town. Pluses: ski rack, microwave, hot-tub, and table for two in the room. Cons: don't even think of running the hot-tub after 8? or 10 pm...and if you break it, you buy it!! :(, also, the door locks are very out-dated...a chain lock, and a button lock are what you get, no dead-bolts...not that you'd likely need them, but just fyi. read more

If you are skiing Copper, Breck, Keystone or Vail this is the place to stay! We have been doing a annual family ski trips for years and two years ago we found this place. It has brought much needed consistency and comfort to our trips! I know where we are going to stay every year, I know where we get breakfast every morning and a light dinner every night. ALL l I have to plan is what mountains are we are skiing when. 10 to 30 minutes away from all of them! I rated it a 10 as a B&B. If you are looking for "modern" conveniences this isn't your spot. I travel a lot for business and when I am on a business trip I always look for new, modern places. Big tv's, on-site gym, on-site restaurant open 24 hours, big rooms, etc. So if that is what you are looking for this isn't it. But... If you are looking for a place that feels warm and comfortable. A place where the people that run it take the time to get to know your name and a few things you like then this is your place. (I don't really care about those things on my random business trips) The place is like walking into a Norman Rockwell painting. You don't have to try very hard to convince yourself you have stepped back 75 years in time. The floor creak, the rooms are smaller but decorated very nice. The bathrooms are small and some share a common bathroom at the end of the hall. Although I have stayed in one of those rooms and I never ran into another person when I used one. No matter what room you stay in it will be clean and the bed will be amazing. This is our go to place. It beats the expense and randomness of staying at the resorts. And if you are skiing Copper or Breck there is a FREE bus that picks you up two (small) blocks from the lodge and delivers you right to the lifts. It runs every 30 minutes. With parking $20 - $30 bucks at the mountains this is awesome! And really so much easier - you get dropped off way closer than you could park to a lift. Again this is a B&B so breakfast it is not unusual to talk to a neighbor, share your ski plans for the day, pick up pointers about where has the best powder and such. Evenings you may find yourself talking to someone from Europe or anywhere in the world really. All things you typically don't do at "modern" chain hotels. The rooms are pretty quiet but again this is a B&B so no concrete walls down the hallway or between the rooms. But you can pretty much count on a very peace full night from around 9:30 p.m. on. My kids are in their late teens and early 20's and they look forward every year to coming here. You can even see them exhale and relax once they walk in the door. My wife and I just spent the weekend, and it was perfect! Their Main Street locations is surely desirable. Walking distance to Dillon Reservoir. I was looking for a nice weekend of biking and this place provided a beautiful and friendly stay for a long weekend! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the start! The room was clean and perfect for a comfortable bed for the night. The staff also offered a nice happy hour before heading out for the evening adventures. They provided great conversation as my wife and I played cards/board games while having wine and cheese with the rest of the guests. After a fun evening out we awoke to a wonderful breakfast, my wife wouldn't stop raving about some sort of blueberry bread pudding. Just wanted to give the Lodge a huge thumbs-up for hospitality. We weren't actually guests here, but the manager was extremely gracious, polite, and hospitable during last week's BBQ challenge when she allowed us to use the facilities and lounge inside with two little ones while we were dodging the rain. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I think a staff who welcomes you even when you're not a current patron deserves a big time shout-out. We ended up here due to late reservations and were very pleased! It is a bed and breakfast which I am always a bit leery about. I like a bit more privacy and this place was perfect. We stayed in the north building which was just like a hotel and took a very short walk to the main lodge to enjoy breakfast and a great happy hour. We had privacy and the ability to interact and chat with other guests. We had a room with a queen bed and a bath. The room was adequately appointed with furnishings that were consistent with the atmosphere of the place. If you want ultra modern facilities, this is not the place for you! Breakfast was good, not great but basic and plentiful. The made-to-order espresso and lattes were great! The happy hour offerings were more like a meal than a snack. Coffee, water, and snacks were always available. There are newer chain hotels in the area that charge about the same price...and all you get is a room. This place offers so much more for the price. The staff were great! Very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I loved the resident dogs too. We'll be coming back! read more

We had a town home with family for our week of vacation, but wanted a special place for our wedding night. I just love this place. You feel like you know the employees there, even if it your first time. The rooms are very clean. I would only recommend the rooms with a private bathroom, who wants to go down the hall to take a shower. Well, I guess that was OK in college, but past that now. The soup, wine and cheese served in the evening were just enough for dinner for us. So really the only meal you have to think about is lunch. They have a nice hot tub, but do not get the room over the hot tub, you can here the people in the hot tub,until they close it. The breakfast is always good and ready by 7:00 am for you early ski people. I tend to like to stay in local places, not big chain hotels, so this is the place for that. I hate giving bad reviews, but here goes... My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago. Overall the stay itself was relaxing and pleasant, minus the fact that the breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. The bacon was overcooked and the hasbrowns were limp and bland. It seemed like both had been cooked the day before and reheated. It was when we got home that the disappointment happened. I noticed on my account that we had been charged an additional $5.95 on our account a few days after we checked out. Then we had a notice from the post office that we had a package from The Frisco Lodge that we had to go pick up. We picked up the package, a hassle but whatever. Inside the box was SOMEONE ELSE'S jacket. Ok, so I got charged for the shipping of something that was not ours. So I called. The young lady who answered the phone was not listening. At all. I had to repeat the situation and their error more than once. She stated that I had no idea what a mess it was to get those packages sent out and they just "hoped they got it right". She said she would have to talk to her manager and call me back. When she called back she stated that they had refunded the postage charge on my account (still today, I haven't rec'd a credit) and asked me to send them the jacket back. Um.....not on my dime! She said they would reimburse me. Doubtful since I havent rec'd a refund of the original charge! I suggested that they review their procedures for future situations like this, as a simple phone call or email and I would have told them the jacket was not mine and all of this could have been avoided. My husband and I stayed from Christmas last year and had a great time. The rooms are nice and cozy. We stayed on the first floor of the lodging near the main house. The only complaint I have is that you can hear the other occupants stomping around above you all day/night. The price is great, breakfast enjoyable and the town picturesque. The place is worn around the edges & while they get an A for effort, the food isn't that good. Stick with the waffles & breakfast meats, lattes & specialty coffees made to order in the morning & cookies & soup in the evening . Breakfast is late, starting at 7:30, wish they started earlier. Beds are small, rooms need updating. Apparently your room isn't really cleaned while you are here, just fresh towels & garbage emptied, had to ask for TP & extra soap. It's clean & well located, so I would stay here again, but it's expensive for what you get and I wish the food was better. read more

Had a great weekend here skiing with my son. Looked at properties in Copper, but really glad we stayed in Frisco instead. (better AND cheaper) We are once or twice a year skiers and looking for a place that was comfortable, homey, convenient. Rick at the Frisco Lodge was super accommodating, friendly host and guests, excellent huge breakfast plus soup wine & cheese 4 to 6 every day, free classic videos. Rooms are a bit cramped and not modern, but I'm there to ski and have fun, not stay in room - but have microwave and small refrig, plus rack for skiis. Frisco location much preferred to Copper, where it looked very commercial. Even used the hot tub one evening. Will stay here again if we come to Copper (And Copper skiing was excellent - we skied greens and easy blues and despite lots of people in the parking lots, slopes were relatively uncrowded) we'll be back! read more

Pleasant atmosphere and a great staff. This is right on main street which allows for walking to all things Frisco. Rooms are clean and well decorated but could use a fan as there is no airconditioning. Air is not needed at this altitude at night but in the afternoons moving the air around the rooms would be nice.
