They offer site visits during planning, if you don't know the layout, I recommend doing a tour in person - the virtual tour on the website is a great reference as well. The bar is included while linens, food, cake, and entertainment are up to you. We arranged flowers from Micheal's weeks before, then at the venue used the lovely things in the center piece closet to save having to hire a florist to decorate. The contract, website, and Amy were all very clear about how much everything cost: super reasonable for such a pretty place. The entire staff was great and there were no surprises. We got out right on time and took the party back to the VRBO. I Wouldn't change a thing about my wedding day, thank you so much.

From the small welcome area that can serve as a bar for welcome drinks, to the ceremony area, which truly is so magical feeling as it surrounded by trees, and the sound of a bubbling creek, to the actual house, infrastructure that has bathrooms for guests, as well as respective dressing rooms for parties, this is a unique and gorgeous venue. During the reception that I attended here, we dined under their large, heated tent, which had plenty of room for everything that was needed. There was also WiFi available on site. It was love at first sight. Cheryl gave us the tour at Blackstone Rivers Ranch, she has a beautiful soul as did everyone who works for this venue. Each one of them were so kind and helpful. This venue has years of experience and a preferred list of vendors that make this process much easier and more relaxed as they work so well together (and as a bride you feel comfortable and confident that everything will go well). This is very important working as a team to create such a special day for two people. None of our family or invited friends knew about this place. We had guests from Minnesota, Mexico, California, Spain, Colombia, Panama, and other countries. We knew that they were making a huge sacrifice to be here on our special day. The time for the wedding arrived and when our guests arrived at Blackstone Rivers Ranch they were stunned and delighted, our guests did not stop commenting that it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. We had compliments about the venue, catering, DJ, coordinator, photographer, EVERYTHING from our guests. As a bride I was afraid of having the same problem as the other brides, who always had some complaint or something that did not go the way they wanted on their special day, BUT NO I was not one of those brides (YAY)! My wedding was the best and the most perfect thanks to Blackstone Rivers Ranch and their list of preferred vendors. Without the help of BRR my wedding would not have been possible to plan as perfectly. Every penny invested in this wedding was worth it to the fullest. My husband and I are more than sure that it was the best decision we have ever made in having a big wedding with 100 guests and not a small wedding with only 15 or 20 guests. My guests fell in love with our wedding and the venue and they couldn't stop talking about it. They all told us that it was worth the sacrifice they made to travel from far away to experience the beautiful views of the mountains and the river at the venue, the big and beautiful white tent. A private bathroom in the room and a small kitchenette. We asked about the rooms when we got there. The site was confusing. We thought it was a shared bathroom for everyone. That's not the case. Most rooms have their own bathroom. The staff is very personable and helpful for local tips. The breakfast was very good. They cook a hot breakfast to order. Our first morning there, we had a hiccup and I think we were forgotten about after we ordered food. We waited an hour and finally left. We were so late getting on the mountain. We didn't get our first run til 11. Other than that one issue, everything has been great and the breakfast the following two mornings came out within mins. I think it was an honest mistake but we all just brushed it off. Thank you, Claire for your hospitality. You made our home away from home very comfortable. I had to write a review. This was so worth it. I looked at the reviews before we came to see how the beds are. The mattress is comfortable in the room we had. I didn't wake up feeling like I was hit by a bus. The room was well appointed, the hosts were delightful and full of recommendations for the village. The courtyard is adorable but it was a bit too chilly to spend much time there. Walking distance to everything in the village. And breakfast was SO good. They went out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free options which was so kind. Even had handmade lattes and barista drinks by request. All included!

Beautiful as the location is on a crisp morning, it's a bit of a dog track in terms of layout and conditioning. So, I was pretty excited on my recent trip to Denver that we had a tee-time up at the River Course. For a first experience of truly high-end Mountain Golf, this was a winner. Boy did we luck out - it was a perfect Fall day. Weather in the high-50's, Aspens were near peak-color, and the sky was crystal clear. Oh yeah - and I was smoking the ball on the range. I have as close to entirely positive things to say about the course as is possible. Stepping up to the first tee, a nice elevated look down over the fairway, it was clear that this is a beautiful location and a well designed and well maintained track. It's more of a resort-style course, so it is accommodating. While you can get into trouble if you stray too far, the fairways are generous and leave some margin for error. Overall, the course is fair - although there were number of holes I'd like to have a second crack at, since I might play differently with local-knowledge. The greens are fairly quick, and they are challenging. The super-star is the beautiful mountain scenery. The front nine is nice. There are some nice holes along the river, and a couple of cool elevated tee-boxes. #9 is a dramatic downhill Par-3 to end. The back-nine is off the hook. There were at least five awesome tee shots, including the fun (but frustrating) #16, and the magnificent #18 Par-5 to finish. The look down over Lake Dillon towards the range to the West is just beautiful. This is a fun place to play - and yes, the ball does fly at this elevation. If you are looking for a place to come and enjoy yourself, without driving yourself nuts, this is a good course. If you are visiting, this is easy to access, and it's a nice drive up from Denver. I believe that we also took advantage of a deal for Epic Pass (Vail Resorts - Ski Pass) Holders. $69 with a cart. Not bad for a Saturday afternoon.

There are gopher holes everywhere, so watch your step unless rolling an ankle is part of your pre-shot routine. The greens somehow have more sand than the bunkers, which is especially confusing. At times it feels like you're putting out of a sand trap no matter where your ball lands. If you're looking for smooth greens, this isn't the place. If you're looking for wildlife and an overpriced zoo, you've found it.
