Travelling through and had wanted to try this restaurant previously, but they'd been closed that day. Dropped in for lunch as the menu looked good. Food took a bit, but that's understandable given the labor shortages in restaurants these days. Fried appetizer came out greasy (to the point I had to dry them off on my napkin.) Then when the main food came out, 1 of 3 dishes was missing. The waiter only then asked 'were two of you splitting a meal?' and we informed him that no, we weren't, and an item was missing. The missing dish came out about 5 minutes later, and what was supposed to be a hot, grilled sandwich on a toasted roll was cold on a barely warm roll. Another dish was to be Fettucini Alfredo, which should have been a slam dunk. Honestly, it was just not up to par for any restaurant to have served, much less the $18 we were charged for it. No alfredo sauce, and what was there was rather 'floury'. Heck, even the roast beef on garlic bread with au jus was 'meh'. Again, between the saltiness of the roast beef and the au jus, and the garlic cheese, this should have been a 'gimme' as well. It was not. I love small businesses, and we made a point of seeking this restaurant out. Sadly, the food was weak. Maybe they were having a bad day in the kitchen? Could hardy believe this place. Busy on a Friday night dose not excuse the poor service we received. Spent 1 1/2 hrs to NOT get our food. Ordered a Pinot Noir got a Pinot Grigio, ordered a Oktoberfest beer got pumpkin spice. Sat waiting for 1.5 and 3 tables got served and had togo boxes still no food. A table of 10 came in 30 min into our wait , they got food before we did. Not a person to dine and dash but put a $20 down and walked out. NEVER GOT OUR FOOD! read more

This used to be a great restaurant, but since ownership changed, I'm afraid they appear to be in a death spiral. Staff turnover is high, so they're constantly retraining people. As a wing aficionado these are the best wings I've ever had hands down! The sweet and tangy sauce was simply amazing! My wife had a thin crust pizza which was equally fantastic along with great service and a ton of beers on tap! If you're running through this area of Missouri and you're hungry stop! Pleasant Surprises happens in the least expected places... I have eaten steak all across this great country from coast to virtually coast.. Phoenix to south Florida, Wisconsin to Ft Worth Texas.. okc, Tulsa, KC.. Omaha.... and all in between.... tonight I had as fine of a steak as I could ever ask... I think it's important to put this first- when we were sat and the waitress came to get our drinks, my boyfriend picked up the beer menu and the waitress said, "yeah that's not accurate. They don't update it." So just a tip, update your beer menu because she didn't let us know what ones were and weren't available. We had to play 20 questions. I was so hopeful for this place. Their marketing seems to be good, and even though I heard, "You can't sell me a $24 steak and give me my water in a plastic cup" I still wanted to believe it would be ok. The bar allows smoking. Is this even 2017? Unfortunately even though they only allow smoking in the bar, it's the first thing in the restaurant so you have to walk past it and you can smell the stale smoke through the whole restaurant so you're going to leave smelling like it. It's so gross. Patio smoking- absolutely. Don't care. But indoors.. I just... So the meal was mediocre. The spinach artichoke dip was heated up in the microwave to a barely lukewarm temperature- you could tell it was microwaved because it wasn't transferred to another bowl after and there was crusty cheese on the edges. It was bland. The tortilla chips were ok. Deep fried flour tortillas. I had the salmon and the dill sauce was so underwhelming. I had to salt the sauce which just shouldn't happen. The baked potato was great and the salad was pretty ok. I like the house dressing. I don't like to compare apples to oranges but for $20 for a salmon dinner- I would like it to have some flavor. Any flavor. My hubby had the ribeye and for the cost, I definitely rolled my eyes. It was about 1/4 of an inch thick and just flavorless. The sweet potato and the salad were great, so that's something. Now, the service. It was fairly busy as it was a Friday night, but there were right about 43 teenagers working and 1 ten year old. I'm not joking. The 10 year old worked harder than any of them. Our server was very sweet, she just wasn't attentive. I wish the 10 year old could have been our server because she was bussing tables like it was the apocalypse. The 2 stars are for her because I think they're breaking like 100 labor laws but I have super crazy respect for a kid that young that works that hard. Stopped in here on the way home from fishing and it really hit the spot. I had the 1/2 lb burger and a friend had the turkey spin-dip wrap. Both were really good and a perfect stop on the way home. First time going and probably last time. Ordered food took over 45 minutes for salad to come out. I ordered the sirloin with American honey butter on it. Out of sirloin no biggie, said I would take rib eye, medium rare. 1 1/2 hour later no food. When we did get it it was a New York strip. Nothing at to what I ordered. Butter in little packets. And steak raw. My 8 y.o. grandson hamburger was last to be served. Reason for this was large party and the medium well steak. Please inform customers that there is a large party and maybe late with food. We spent two nights in Cuba, our first night we checked this place out on a whim and it was so delicious we had to come back again. This is a great bar/restaurant with a wide variety of foods, from pastas to burgers to pizza and steaks. The bar area has lots of first come first served seating, a juke box, and plenty of TV's for watching the sporting events. Good variety of beers on tap (around 10 different taps?) and a wide variety of domestics in bottles. Full service bar and you can eat in the bar area. There is a dining room off of the bar to accommodate larger groups. The place seems to be very kid friendly. They have a caboose near the entrance and a train horn that goes off periodically that seems to keep the kiddos entertained. We were a larger group and so were able to try a lot of different dishes. Definitely get the wings. They were the perfect mix of spicy but still flavorful. The burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. The pasta dishes were also a big hit. Very generous proportions. You won't go away hungry. Considering how crowded it was, the service staff did an exceptional job on both nights. They checked on us frequently, kept the drinks coming, the waters filled, were friendly and very accommodating. If you find yourself in Cuba, Missouri, and are in the mood for a good meal or just a couple of beers/drinks, this is the place to go. Don't miss it! read more

Very good food. Service is pretty much the usual. I had the hog headed Cuban and it was delicious! It has pulled pork, ham, and bacon!! It's like a piggy smorgasbord that works great together. I really wanted to try this ginger soda that I never seen before and it was very smooth. Especially with the frosted glass that was so cold it froze bits of the soda in it!! My date had a burger that was huge, half a pound, with fries. I tried the house made chips that were pretty good just with a slight burnt flavor to them. This review is from June 14, 2020. They were extremely slow only 4 other tables and 4 people at the bar. We got to the restaurant at 1:06pm on our way to meramac springs park. Thought we would sto for lunch 4 tables came in after us finally 2:09 we got our food that we had to ask to be out in to go boxes. The manager NEVER introduced himself and had the audacity to say all items take different amounts of time(i am not dumb) i work at 2 restaurants. THIS is unacceptable and they still handed me the full bill $60 for this distasteful visit, not an offer for a comp or gift card for a future visit. Then had the nerve to talk about me to the server as i was walking out it does NOT take an hour for food and if it does you all should warn people. The lack of care or customer service showed today. I will not be back and what a waste of $60 to not have drink and had 3 kids whining at the table because y'all don't know how to serve food in a timely manner. Food by the way was mediocre. The burger was flavorless(fresh ingredients or not seasoning does wonders). The app we had was so oily. My kids fries were soggy. We threw everything out and got Food on the way home from Huddle House(SO MUCH BETTER). Service was okay. The server did her best with the slack off coming from the kitchen. I told her not to worry about it, it's not her fault. Management-that boy is a pitiful excuse for management, he sat us too and we waited at the door for 10mins to be seated. Then tried to tell me all the food takes different amounts of time to cook...hmmm...i realize that but you all took another 15mins to box up our food and that included the app which come out before the rest... Traveling through and visiting family, who recommended this place. Service was spectacular - our waitress was so attentive and friendly, drinks were filled and refilled all evening without even having to ask, and she was great about providing extra napkins ahead of time and checking back on us. We really made a meal of appetizers. The wings by the pound were cooked crispy and had a great, not too spicy sauce. We were asked if we wanted ranch or bleu cheese dressing, and we were given generous portions of both. The pretzel bites - Oh. My. Yum. Warm, crusty on the outside, perfectly doughy inside, stuffed with salami and American cheese with a honey mustard dipping sauce - the perfect bite. Most of us ordered chef salads - the portions of lettuce, meats, and other toppings were plentiful, and everything was fresh and so good. The build your own burger was cooked perfectly and there were tons of options to make it how you like it. We also had a rib eye steak sandwich - huge! It may be because I came from Jersey, but the prices were more than reasonable. Everyone walked away full and happy, and with drinks, a party of six ate for not much more than $100. This is the absolutely BEST restaurant in the area, or anywhere as far as I'm concerned!!! Friscos has a great menu with several different options for whatever you are craving at that time. The pretzel bites, spinach dip, Frisco melt, Turkey sandwich, etc are all amazing!!! If you're ever near Cuba, MO and don't stop in here you'll definitely regret it!!! Oh, and did I mention that the owners and staff are by far the best people you will ever meet!!! Just arrived to Route 66 from Houston TX, this neat uplifting bar/grill is fantastic. We had the salmon asparagus and baked sweet potato. It was very good and much better than bar food. Just as good as any restaurant. The music is amazing the bar is cool. read more

They make you feel at home and Racheal is so extremely attentive with everyone in the entire building it's honestly impressive! Highly recommend for date night or a large event. Typically one of the higher picks on my list. This is one of my favorites to hit when I visit home. The wings alone get an additional star. Most recently there was a new waitress who was a little flustered but service wasn't THAT bad. It was just awkward because some of our party was not good at understanding the challenges of a new staff member. The cannelloni was great. Sandwiches are on par. Overall I can't boast too much about Frisco's. Compared to other options in the area it is definitely a wise choice and very solid. I wouldn't travel far out of my way to eat here though. If you are passing by and have a few minutes to spare this will be a great pick compared to other mid Missouri Hwy 44 options. read more

If Frisco's was in Rolla, it would be my favorite place to hang out! We regularly travel the 25 miles to Cuba to eat here. The food is great and the atmosphere is pleasant. While there are many good places to eat in Cuba, this is our favorite. The French Onion soup is to die for. The wings are the best within 50 miles or more. The stuffed mushrooms are also excellent. The entrees are delicious and they have a nice variety of specials. They have an outdoor patio. Prices are reasonable and drinks are great. Closed on Sundays. My wife and I came here for dinner after a 5 mile float on the Meramec river. Very happy we decided to come here instead of taking the easy fast food options in town. It's clean, and service is quick and accurate. The food is quite good and portions are larger than we could manage, even after a long day on the river! The menu has great variety, everything from burgers to pizza to more "sit down" type entrees. The locals seem to come in quite a lot, which is always a good sign. Give it a try! read more

We had a group of 13, our graduation class of 1963 Fort Zumwalt High School. We meet every other month usually in St. Peters/O'Fallon area, once in a while we coax them out west to God's Country. We stopped by recently for lunch and l decided on the "build your own" burger. I ordered the veggie burger with cheddar cheese and all the sides which included lettuce, tomato, onion, grilled onions, and pickle. The veggie patty tasted fine but it was only warm. The cheddar cheese was American, not really cheese at all in my book. There were no grilled onions and the red onion slice was a centimeter thick. One thin slice would have been so much nicer. I don't like seeing food wasted. The pickle spear was ok, but l like pickles on my hamburger and there was no real way to fix this with the butter knife provided. The hamburger comes with no condiments and none were offered, so l swiped mustard from a nearby table. For over $8, this lunch was a disappointment. I enjoyed the atmosphere and my husband likes their sandwiches. I'll just order something different next time. read more

We were seated in a dining room just minutes after a very large party of ten or twelve. It took 15 minutes just to get our drinks and over an hour to get our food. Husband's steak was good, but I had Manicotti and it was terrible. It tasted like it was drenched in fake garlic butter sauce. I didn't spot one piece of hamburger in the meat sauce My water glass was empty most of the time. I even went out searching for a water pitcher at one point. Only other good thing was my grandson's mac 'n cheese appeared to be home-made, or at least not a Kraft instant variety. read more
