I also ordered an extra cheese to eat with the rest of my food because I had so much left over and a large freshly squeezed passionfruit juice. This restaurant is very casual and the food is served behind a counter similar to Cava and Chipotle but there is not much seating available so the restaurant gets pretty full. The gallo pinto "rice with red beans" had no flavor and was dry. The mashers and fried cheese were good. The repollo "cole slaw mix" was beyond awful and tasted like pure vinegar with spoiled cabbage. The homemade hot sauce was also pretty awful. I was disappointed and will not be coming here again. Don't let the photo fool you. No flavor and chewy meat full of veiny cartilage.

I also wanted to try something a little lighter, so I ordered the grilled steak with cooked squash and fried yuca, and the yuca really impressed me. It doesn't have the taste or texture of the frozen yuca that many places serve. I was told that they prepare the yuca themselves before frying it, and you can definitely taste the difference. I've also tried several of their fresh drinks, including passion fruit, mango, and cacao with milk. They all have such a delicious flavor, and something I personally really appreciate is that the sweetness is just right -- not overly sweet and not bland. Perfectly balanced for my taste. The salad, hot sauce, and chimichurri are also delicious. Overall, one thing that has stood out to me during all three visits is how fresh and freshly made everything tastes. The seasoning is very well balanced, and both the salt in the food and the sweetness of the drinks are just right. But I definitely want to give a VERY special mention to Mr. Juan Manuel. His service deserves a 1000%! From the way he welcomes and treats customers to how attentive he is throughout the entire experience, he has been incredibly kind, respectful, dedicated, professional, and attentive to every detail. He is one of those people who doesn't simply take your order and serve your food -- he genuinely makes you feel welcome and well taken care of.
