So I went to Pinolandia on Quail Roost Dr = SW 184th Not to be confused with its other location in the city of Miami on NW 12th Avenue. This fritanga restaurant is very well known in Miami due to their very good Steak/Carne asada, in the MIAMI location they have excellent staff, friendly and they cook very good food. The location in SW Miami Dade on 184th Street is actually pretty bad and left me thinking how it's possible for the same restaurant be so different and so terrible. My experience: I ordered the Steak/Carne asada with Gallo Pinto "beans and rice" , plantains and ordered a Repocheta on the side, when I got to the table all of the food was lukewarm definitely NOT hot, the steak was tough and rubbery, and that is because it's obvious that the steak had been in the steam table for such a long time, this also happened with the Repocheta, a Repocheta is a corn tortilla folded over with white cheese and fried, when made fresh they are amazing however this Repocheta suffered the steaks faith, it died on a steam table after being made perhaps that morning, it was so tough I couldn't bite into it. I approached a lady behind the counter and told her about my issue with the Steak and the Repocheta to which she replied "you need to talk to the manager because I can't help you" and pointed at the manager which mind you is the same person to serve my food in the first place. I told the manager my predicament and he offered to warm up my food, I replied "sure what's your method?" And he gracefully said the MICROWAVE OVEN, well I asked him if it would be possible to make the food over and I assured him that I was not in a hurry and was willing to wait for fresh food and he said it wasn't possible and proceeded to put my food in the Microwave oven which made it hot but definitely not good. Side note, their chimichurri was a blend of who knows what but was NOT chimichurri and was spoiled too. Shame on you, but here is how to fix the issue. GET INVOLVED! I know it's hard to own several restaurants and perhaps having one so far south is an issue but in the restaurant business, quality control, guest experience and being involved and present makes all the difference in the world! PS: The Pinolandia Restaurant at 119 NW 12th Avenue in Miami is perhaps the best fritanga restaurant of its kind in south Florida, but stay away from the one on SW 184th Street, it's just disappointing.

Well here it goes, we ordered carne asada with extra meat, gallo pinto, and fried cheese. A bottle of Coke cola and the bill was $28. No bottled water. Prepare to smell like food when you leave. Overpriced. All the tables were dirty, we cleaned ours to be able to eat in. It was hot. I love Nicaraguan food, but this was one of the worst I've had. Will not be coming back to this place

At first when I entered I was a little off put by the smell of oil. I was nervous that there wasn't a long line like the original always has, but stayed anyway. The food was just as amazing as their original spot. The carne asada and pinto gallo did not disappoint!

Everything we ate was prepared on-site and ordered to take home. That's how much we liked it

This particular trip was special because I took my hubby with my group of college friends and we sat in the restaurant. I had no clue the inside decor was western themed, and it was equal parts random and perfect for the chaos outside in the take out area. Most people seem to go the take out option from the cafeteria window, surrounded by coin operated games and gumball machines. They have a huge menu but the carne asada is the best thing on the menu hands down. Service is quick, but like most dive places in Miami, you're not in it for the chatty waitresses, just the sitting and taking up space over beers for 3 hours with your buds.

I ordered the carne asada as that's what they suggested and it was delicious. I got the fried cheese, plantains and gallo pinto (rice with beans) with it as the server suggested and everything was great. My husband got chicken tacos they were yummy but more like what I know as taquitos, rolled up like an egg roll. They had a cute patio area too, and the staff were friendly.
