Passing through Kokomo and found this place for breakfast. Very nice. Original Eggs Benedict was good. They seemed to pay attention to small details other restaurants miss. For instance, the coffee didn't taste cheap and bitter and was not too strong. The toast was lightly toasted and lightly buttered instead of dripping with butter. The ham on the Eggs Benedict was thick and good. They even asked how I wanted the eggs, soft, medium or hard. The home fries were not greasy and had a little bit of bacon. Basically nothing was over the top but at the same time done very nicely. Proportions were good, not too big etc. They had a good selection on the menu. We found this place on Yelp which came with what I'd say good reviews, so decided to give it a try on a weekend visit to Kokomo. Their breakfast menu is extensive, complete with several skillet and select your own ingredient frittata choices. They also have lunch selections and on the day we arrived had several breakfast specials. Seating filled up fast on a Saturday morning, some folks waiting by the time we left at around 10 AM. Our server was very pleasant with some favorite offerings, sorry I didn't write down her name. I will note the hostess as not nearly as pleasant, tried exchanging typical niceties but she must have been having a bad day. My wife opted for the Breakfast chimichanga with bacon. It came with a side of hash browns, house made salsa, and sour crème. She thoroughly enjoyed it! The flour tortilla was deep fried to crisp the outside, but still soft and light on the inside. The mixture of eggs, cheese, bacon stuffing was flavorful. I ordered the Original Eggs Benedict and chefs potatoes. Eggs were perfectly prepared, with a very light hollandaise sauce, and nice THICK slice of Canadian bacon. The chefs fries were prepared with cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. I think the potatoes were deep fried, which I personally don't care for but they were nicely prepared, crisp outside and soft inside. The bacon was a nice touch! Coffee cups were generous and they kept them full!. Atmosphere here is very simple, like you might expect a ma & pa place to look. There are some hints of Spanish influence (like the name suggests). Their menu is vast and if you can't find something you'll eat, well, that's on you. I am a eggs Benedict junkie so I was happy to see them on the menu. My wife ordered the Greek (mediterranean) omelet. It had an ample amount of vegetables & feta cheese. She said it was very tasty, but it could have used a meat of some sort. The eggs Benedict was served with traditional hollandaise sauce which was a tad bland. The Canadian bacon was a pretty thick slice of ham. While that was ok, it was more cutting than I am used to for an eggs Benedict dish. It came with Chef's potatoes; which are diced potatoes with bacon and cheese. The potatoes are obviously something that they fix ahead of time as they were very dry. The flavor of them was ok, but I ended up not eating most of them. I had ordered coffee and I asked for Splenda, specifically. Our sweet lady of a server brought me sweet and low. Yeah, I don't do sweet and low. Fortunately, I keep some in my car. The coffee was mediocre at best. Their lobby is where you pay your bill, get your seat and there is a drive through window to pick up phoned orders. The lobby is too small for all that activity. I watched the bussing person clean several tables. While he did wipe down AND sanitize the table, he didn't do anything to clean the salt and pepper shakers that were on the tables. That was disappointing. And they "offered hand sanitizer" at the cash register, but the container was empty. So, the food was ok, the service was decent, sanitation was.... eh and the atmosphere, overall was a bit chaotic. read more

I ordered the bacon skillet w/2eggs & a biscuit. The restaurant has a Tex Mex feel to it. The biscuits were fluffy and amazing. The chefs potatoes pack a nice flavor, I will be ordering those again next time I come around. The staff was friendly, patient & informative. This place has a HUGE menu, you can find something for even the picky eaters in the family. Sunday morning after Mass breakfast first time visit. Big fan of omelettes but not thrilled with items mixed in. I prefer fillings folded inside so I ordered fried steak and scrambled eggs with hash browns. Slightly too salty for my taste on the hash browns and steak but the eggs were fine. Very friendly staff and restaurant was larger inside than it looked from the outside. It was clean well maintained with being so busy on Memorial weekend. The rest of the family enjoyed their breakfast with no complaints. The real downside for me was the location. We were seated near an outside or kitchen door that every time the door was opened cigaret smoke bellowed in around us. If I try this place again, I will be sure to request seating away from the back side near the kitchen/side door. read more

My wife and i ate breakfast here this morning after Frittatas had been recommended to me. I am a big fan of gooooood biscuits and gravy. But Frittatas doesn't have it in OUR experience. The biscuits were tough and the gravy was much too thick and waaaaaay too much sausage in it. And a bit pricey ta boot. They have a huge selection on the menu. Great, honest, wholesome breakfast that left us truly impressed! We were in town for a wedding and wanted a quick and tasty breakfast to start our day. Frittatas is a small, quaint restaurant with a full selection for breakfast and lunch (it was seriously hard to choose!) They do serve breakfast later in the day which is perfect for those getting a later start. I highly recommend the breakfast Tex Mex skillet with hardy potatoes, eggs and melted cheese. The skillet was delicious I enjoyed every bite! My boyfriend went for the eggs, sausage and potato combo. Frittatas offered healthier alternatives such as turkey patties too. The staff was the best part of our visit! Everyone was so warm and our server Laurie was fantastic, they're just the kind of people that make you feel good! Wow, what a lovely place.... Greeted by a wonderful hostess who sat us right away and chatted with us about the menu. Our waitress showed up in less then a minuet , had our drinks to us right away. Helped us with menu choices and we had our food very fast. I had a broken fried egg with crispy bacon and cubed potatoes. My friend had a mini omelet with sliced potatoes and a biscuit. Food was hot and yummy. Bacon was perfect, eggs were fluffy, both kinds of potatoes were tasty and everything was seasoned perfectly. They also brought us a taste of their biscuits and gravy ...WOW...excellent... The biscuits are a little bite of heaven, made fresh daily, gravy was rich and amazing. Met one of the owners...so nice and dedicated... Staff was attentive and had fabulous customer service skills. Great breakfast /lunch spot in Kokomo., will defiantly eat here again and again.
