Another night out with my main squeeze...WITHOUT children! I hadn't tried this place and already made 1 attempt and never made it inside (apparently they were closed for some reason), so we decided to head over and try again. We walk in and go to the left where the tables are and wait to be seated. Nope! Apparently you can't get seated unless you have a reservation. ??? He wouldn't even let us wait. He was nice enough to let us know he had a table for two ready....for the people who placed the 6:30pm reservation. Rude. He did offer the bar area, but after a 12 hr day and a 14 day straight work week, I wasn't trying to sit at a bar with a crowd of drunk people around me. Thanks but no thanks. It's a place with a good variety of options. I was surprised to see traditional brazilian fare here, so it's definitely food you don't find just anywhere. We walked in randomly on a Wednesday night and there was some chill live music! I had the top sirloin steak, grilled Brazilian style, which was delicious and a really great price. Much better for the previous Four Seasons, which was in the same location. The decoration is the same, but the menu is completely different. The steak is very good, appetizers are interesting, very Brazilia, and are delicious too. We had the Brazilian chocolate for dessert, and we like it as well. My husband and I hopped in the car and looked for a restaurent near Chesapeake. Frix's had a good rating, required no reservations and was just over the bridge. We had salmon with black beans and mashed potatoes paired with moscato and a steak with friend banana and mashed potatoes with a beer. The crab dip appetizer was phenomenal! Food was alright at best. Atmosphere was good dining room is cozy and the only television is in the bar so conversation at dinner takes a natural course. If or when we come back to this area I can't say we would or would not dine here. read more

Fresh food prepared with flavor and served with attention. The stuffed piquillos where an excellent start to the meal. Top Notch! My wife and I stopped in to Frix's for dinner last night and they did not disappoint. We ate in the bar area, and Mike, the bartender, was an exceptional server. For an app, we shared the fried yucca with sausage. Not the most exciting dish, but very good. My wife ordered the French Dip, and it was phenomenal (I had a couple bites). The bread was so fresh. I had the grilled salmon, with sauteed mushrooms and a side salad. Out of this world, especially the churri churri sauce. One of the best restaurant meals I have had in a long time. read more

The Freshest & most flavorful food on Kent island. Most of the entrees are grilled on a lava rock grill which gives everything great flavor without being covered in spices and sauces. Favorite steakhouse in the Kent Island area. The fact that it didn't have a waterview was not an issue. We walked into beautiful decor, yet unpretentious for casual diners. Now for the food, the filet miignon could be cut with a fork and it was covered with a luscious mushroom sauce and served with garlic spinach and exceptional sweet potato fries. I had the best chicken ever, again with mushroom cream sauce and onion strings. Dessert was choc mousse which was divine and macadamia pound cake. EVERYTHING was Fantastic! Been here numerous times for the bar specials. Excellent $5 burgers on Tuesdays. Only bottled beers but good prices on the better ones. Good crowd. French fries are homemade and great. Been meaning to check this place out for a long time, and I have to tell you that I now wish I had tried it a long time ago. The Panqueca de Frango appetizer which we tried was incredible. The Top Sirloin House Special was perfectly done and they have a great selection of side dishes. For example, the fried bananas that I got as a side were really tasty. They had a nice selection of desserts, too, and I enjoyed the pineapple cake dessert we got. The waitress we had was attentive and hostess stopped by to check that everything was to our liking. There were quite a few things on the menu that looked interesting and I hope to get back sometime soon to start exploring some of the other menu items. I spied a few dishes make their way to other tables and I thought, "Wow, that looks good." The restaurant is nice looking inside and you'll enjoy a very enjoyable, pleasant meal at pretty reasonable prices. Living in this area, I have to tell you that several other places locally undeservedly get alot more attention, but I now see we've got a hidden gem in our midst. read more

This hands down is my favorite steak restaurant ever. I've never had a steak not cooked the way I asked for here. Their twist on ceaser salad is perfect. And if you like avocado and shrimp than you definitely have to try the avocado appetizer. It's small and personal so don't bring a huge party there. We love it so much that we get carry out too.
