In my opinion, this is the best restaurant on Kent Island and I've been to every single one of them and there are several that are trying to be too fancy and they're not and there are several that are just little places to get a crabcake or something like that and that's fine if that's what you want, but if you want really, really good food at a fair price with good service you go to Frix's

Deliciousness !!! Lamb chops, spinach & asparagus:)

This is the best restaurant from bay bridge to ocean city md. The food is consistently excellent. I always get the same thing, lamb chops, spinach & asparagus. Delicious every time.

Food was delicious and the restaurant was very nice. Had a great lunch my best friend. Will return

The ribeye steak was terrible. Small tough cut of horrible beef. The grilled sirloin steak from Golden Corral is superior to the ribeye here. The hand cut French fries morphed into a limp soggy ball of oil covered potato. The macaroni and cheese was bland. The Sweet Islander cocktail lacked any alcohol taste. For a $55 dinner, you gotta do much better. Spend your money elsewhere folks.

The gumbo, French dip, mac and cheese, and crab dip (not pictured) were 10/10, absolutely delicious and worth getting. The grilled pound cake being grilled was so unique and delicious, the pineapple tasted canned, but all in all it was decent. We didn't realize how close to closing time they were when we came in and only realized when we left - I point this out because the servers seemed to rush, be annoyed, and weren't calm/cool/collected, but I get it. I would be that way too if someone came in late. The interior design was simple, lots of brown and blacks, but an ADORABLE bunny greets you on the right when you enter.

I was visiting the area and looking for a casual dinner spot. We made a reservation as it was Saturday, but it was not crowded at all. They have a spacious seating area with tables as well as seating at the bar. They had a live guitarist playing which was nice and added to the ambiance. The food portions were pretty amazing based on the price paid. I had the sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak had a great grill flavor, but was lacking in seasoning. Aside from that, it was cooked perfectly. I had a martini drink with tequila. That was very strong! Just a heads up :) service was great! We would come back again.

Heading to the eastern shore, as I've done for years, but found this amazing place on Yelp. You know it's going to be good when the parking lot is full of locals on a Wed. night. Just 1 exit past all the fast food places after you cross the bridge, yet still right off the highway. Real brazillian food, attentive staff, and a cozy environment. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. They have a menu of small plates and a mix and match grill protein + sides. Ihad the grilled Mahi Mahi, with mango cashew slaw and fried bananas Nuff said, try it, you won't be sorry.

The best lamb chops and veggies around

I stop at this restaurant every time I am in the area. Always have same meal. Lamb chops, asparagus and spinach. They nail it every time. Generous portions and friendly service.

Delicious plate of food. Lamb chops, spinach and asparagus:)

Beware. They almost doubled some of their drink prices recently - and we didn't find out til the bill came. Very disappointing.

Was the steak worth a special trip here if you are in the mood for a good steak? no. You'd do much better around the corner at Stoney River. Or head down Rt 2 to The American Steak House. Was the chicken worthy of this choice? perhaps. Both the bacon wrapped and the sweet and sour were wonderful. Was the ham destination worthy? YES! The best ham we have ever had hands down-wow. The grilled pineapple was delicious too. The salad bar was plentiful and fresh but I would have liked another dressing choice. (perhaps replace one of the white ones with a tomato based) The mac and cheese was very tasty but cold. The buttered corn was a bit addictive and I ended up eating way too much of it. But my favorite food-and one that will draw me back, if only for carry out-was the creme brulee. I've had many of these over the years and never one this outstanding. The addition of the orange flavor to the burnt sugar topping is genius. I found the silly voices of the waiter as irritating as another reviewer on here. I came to the conclusion that it is not something the restaurant does but rather a quirk of this man. He was sweet and helpful so I think he has an unusual eccentricity. It was impossible to understand him when he switched voices. But it is not a deal breaker for us-service was outstanding and the proteins kept coming in rapid succession as long as our green box was up. Price is a bit of an issue. We can certainly afford $50 ish per person but as older patrons we just can't eat very much so it seems such a waste. (Wouldn't a senior citizen deal be a big draw???) All in all-we are fans and will be back for a time when we want fun with our food...

Someone in the group noticed the swirling tornado of trash right outside the front door. That didn't bother me, though I could see how someone would think that represents overall management and attention to detail. Just like a previous reviewer upon seating we got our glasses of water but waited about 30 minutes AFTER we'd drunk the glasses dry to get another. At least two of us asked for a refill during that time. So that's quite poor in itself. The first round of meat was actually incredibly delicious (it's why I went from 1 to 1.5 stars before graciously rounding to 2. Yes this could have been a 1 star review). The following rounds ranged from ok-to-good but nothing made us say "wow". Here the Star Rating killers... and I'll start with the big one. Or should I say Bug One. After about two rounds I happened to look down at my salad and saw several fruit flies trying to escape. Either they wanted a better dressing or wanted to go back to the trough, I dunno but at least 3 were trying to get off my plate depressa. You'll ask why I didn't say anything? This dinner was a lovely treat from family members who I may never see again so I didn't want to ruin their gift. I was however watchful to make sure none in the party went for a second helping at the insect bar. 2: I know it's a Brazilian place and the music is trying to accommodate that but unchecked playing of Sepultura over the speakers is a tough bite to swallow at a "nice restaurant". I'm sure someone spotified "artists from Brazil" and simply pressed play. 3. It's actually filthy in there. Sorry but grease builds up.

I have been to this establishment every week for over 5 years. I loved bringing my 3 young children, husband and friends here. However, today I came here with my elderly, injured mother and my young daughter. A young Brazilian cashier with dark, curly hair spoke so disrespectfully to my mother! When I asked her to show some respect to elders (and injured elders at that), she refused to serve us and take our money. What kind of cashier speaks ill to their customers and refuses to take their money!? I feel really badly for the owner of Brazilian Bakery, because he hired a cashier who refuses to sell to his customer. She literally turned our $30 away. And only because I asked her to show some respect to my elderly mother. I was flabbergasted! I asked what is the problem? She said, "The only problem here is your annoying, stupid mother." Inside I wanted to punch her in the face, but because I have class and was raised better, I told her that she is what she called my mother! I promised her that I will inform her manager and other patrons about her awful customer service and disrespect. If you are Brazilian and crave Brazilian food, go to "By Brazil" or the cafe around the corner (Americas). Not only is the food there spectacular, their staff is so respectful and warm, and they never refuse to take your money! Be advised my fellow Brazilian neighbors!

There was a self-serve area for customers to get rice, beans, and other items. Behind the counter, there was a display with pastries and another with empanadas. I ordered one chicken and a ham and cheese. I also ordered two churros. Once I saw how cheap they were, I asked to add two more. I was accidentally charged for two more empanadas. I told the lady behind the register what happened and she denied that I was charged incorrectly and I had to explain a couple of times before someone else told her exactly what I already told her and she finally fixed it. Overall, I don't think I would go back to this particular location. The empanadas were good but the churros were cold and the customer service wasn't great.

When every dish lands and the vibes are just right, it's no surprise the seats stay full. Food: Aperitivos: * Dadinhos de Tapioca $18: Cheesy, light, and incredibly satisfying. The guava sauce was nice, but honestly, these stood perfectly well on their own. * Torresmo $18: Easily one of the top three pork belly dishes of my food critic career. Crispy, rich, and unforgettable. Pratos: * Peixe Cru $23: Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully composed. This dish set the tone for what turned out to be an excellent meal. * Frango à Passarinho $23: A playful elevation of fried chicken. The touch of honey added just enough sweetness without making it overly sticky. Churrasco: * Picanha Black Angus $41: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The farofa added just the right amount of texture to complement a beautifully cooked steak. Service: The chef's counter seats give you a front-row view of the kitchen in action. My friends and I came in for dinner on a Tuesday night, and despite it being a Tuesday, Cana was…read morelively like it could have been a Friday evening. We really enjoyed the food here, which I'll detail below. -Dadinhos de tapioca: tapioca cubes filled with cheese and fried, with guava sauce on the side. I thought this was going to be more of a dessert dish, given the sweet guava sauce, but it does work as a dish that straddles the line between sweet and savory. The outside is delicately crispy with a gooey inside that is easy to enjoy. -Coxinha de pato: Duck leg croquettes, dropped off as a complimentary dish, ended up being one of our favorites of the meal. It is generously (and appropriately) sauced with a pimenta aioli that you'll want to lick off the plate. -Estrogonofe de cogumelos: a variety of roasted mushrooms in a lovely savory sauce with shoestring potatoes and rice. A great heftier dish for vegetarians and omnivores alike, the mushrooms are that perfect roasted texture that is neither overly crispy nor slimy. Eaten in a bite with the crispy potatoes and rice gives it a perfect combination of textures. -Black angus picanha: Perfectly cooked and so tender, with an intensely flavorful crust. I savored every bite. -Arroz de brocolis: This is way too good to be relegated as "just a side". The rice is somehow creamy, yet not gloopy. -Salada verde: A pretty standard green salad but elevated with gorgeous lettuce and a light vinaigrette. I do have a pet peeve about restaurant salads where they leave the leaves whole. Why make me cut the leaves myself? -Gengibre: we weren't feeling alcoholic cocktails on a Tuesday evening so two of us each ordered the Gengibre NA cocktail. It is one of the best NA cocktails I've had, super refreshing and just the right amount of tartness. The three of us were quite satisfied after this meal, and after tax and tip our bill came to around $180. The service had nothing to really complain about, although we did notice that they were unusually assertive about clearing the plates of those of us who had slowed down, even though one of our party was still visibly eating. Odd, but not enough to put us off. Overall, the food and experience were excellent, and I'd say Cana is a great place for a special meal in the area.
