I just do not understand the super-popularity of this place. It's just an okay/good pricey breakfast to me. Not bad by any means but I can't rave about it. Had a waffle last time. It was pretty mediocre. Waiter brought me another one that was excellent. (Important to mention that I did not complain about the first one to anyone. The waiter simply thought it did not look up to par when he served it so he had them make me another without my asking. That is some darn good service!) We returned to Frog Pond this year on vacation and once again it was awesome. I had the Crab Benedict and it may be the best I've tried. The hollandaise sauce was amazing! It has a bit of a lemony tang that I haven't tasted in other sauces. I may have to try to recreate that at home. The crab was imitation, but it was still delicious. Solid Breakfast establishment. I have been here with a few times with friends and the food has always been excellent. The service can be hit or miss depending which is unfortunate because as we all know the service can make or break a good hometown restaurant. I will definitely go back and give them another try but hopefully service will be better. My husband and I spied this place out on our morning walk yesterday. I'm so glad we found this place! This restaurant will satisfy you all! Have a large group with picky people; bring them all here? The food was solid and some things were stellar! solid def. - great taste and as good or a little better than I could do. Stellar def. - above my skill level and delicious. We had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are what I call drop dough style. They were good but I desire rolled out and crispy all around but..... my husband loved them. The gravy is very thick (I suggest you get it on the side), the sausage has a strong herb taste and I like lots of pepper so I added it. I am really glad that I tried this restaurant recommended by the hotel we stayed out a few doors down. We went there for a brunch and got eggs and bacon and fruit with toast and a kielbasa omlet. I got the eggs Benedict. I LOVE them and basically get them any time I go out for breakfast or brunch. I've had worse but this was not one I will ever care to revisit. The potatoes were greasy and just soggy and not flavorful at all. The ranch I asked for on the side was sour. It's a super cute atmosphere and the staff was so nice and friendly. But I won't be back because honestly I'd rather get a biscuit from a fast food joint then eat here again :( read more

We visited the Frog Pond twice over a week in North Redington Beach, FL. The atmosphere is delightful and welcoming even when it was at its bushiest on a Sunday morning. The hostess and the wait staff were so very friendly inviting us to suggest where we would like to sit. Our server in both cases was prompt bringing water and offering coffee at the outset. The menu is expansive bordering on gourmet but not at gourmet prices. The food presentation was attractive; portions were HUGE and the variety made picking a meal very difficult. This is a great hole in the wall type of place. My fiance and I are really big on reviews and ratings so we always check Yelp and others before eating anywhere. I love when there are quick and easy reviews to read and digest so here you go: I got the Quiche Lorraine and it was amazing! It got a 5 out of 5. My fiance got the Eggs Benedict and she loved it. She is a big benedict fan so she always compares quality of hollendaise sauce at every breakfast place, and she said this place passed the test. I gave it a 4 out of 5 overall because I was not gushing over the homefries like everyone else. I liked them, but at the end of the day they were just fried up potatoes with a bunch of butter. Really good, but not perfect. We honestly probably ate about 20% of our meals because the portions were massive! I guess the most important part of the review would be would we come back? My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant since 1992. It's been good and hasn't fallen off much since Dennis and Bill owned and ran it. David picked it up and kept a good thing going. My regular order is an omelet with spinach and jack cheese. It's always large (seems like 6 eggs) and well prepared. One time the eggs were greasy and Bill had it redone without a word being spoken - Dennis would do the same. The sausage is pretty good too, and I always enjoy slathering the toast with strawberry preserves. The coffee is decent. They never installed an espresso machine, so I'm a little bit disappointed, but overall pleased with the timely and constant service refilling your cup before it's empty. Ask for Equal if that's your thing - they hold onto it to prevent pilferage. Ambiance is a mixed bag. It's a great place for conversation because the din is loud. You can hear everything yet understand nothing other than your table partner. Service is always friendly, prompt and personal. Weekend breakfast means waiting in line. It would be nice if they offered coffee to those waiting, but the line moves fast enough. Prices reflect the quantity and quality of the food. This is not a place for a cheap breakfast, so plan on spending around ten dollars. It's a good value if you're hungry and appreciate good quality food and service. read more

So, my wife found this while we were relaxing on the beachfront balcony of our hotel. They have standard fare but also some unique creations. I opted for the eggs Benedict while my wife went for the special: 2 eggs (which was more like 4), choice of bacon or sausage, toast, choice of home fries or grits. All this for $7. The portions are quite generous and very tasty. My Benedict was as perfect as perfect could be. We liked it so much, we came back the next morning. We came on Easter Sunday, and the staff was super organized! We got a table with no reservation in a matter of minutes, and our coffees were filled only a few minutes later. The host was friendly and VERY hardworking. The server was quick and attentive, and our coffee was always full and warm. We got the skillet with Italian Sausage and the Special Breakfast. Both were extremely generous portions that could have easily been split. My only complaint was the meat to veggie ratio in the skillet was way off!
