Excellent Pittsburgh sandwiches (they are served on a sub bun, so it's different!) and wings. They have a great beer selection. Since I try to make a monthly trip here, the waiter remembered what I usually order to drink. I like that. Unfortunately, they continue to have the same special every Saturday. They might want to change it up a little once in a while. I recommend this place, but don't go near there if there is a polo game being held that night in nearby Darlington. My husband and I came upon this tavern through yelp after a day of shopping in PA. At first look we almost didn't go in, but we chose to do so based on the 4 1/2 stars from yelp. All I can say is that the service was good and food was delicious. Chill is soo good and my hubby is picky about his chili!! If you leave hungry it's your own fault and nice choice of beers as well. Went there Saturday night with large family gathering (12 people). Service was excellent even with that number. Everyone loved their food. I had the hot wings. Asked for crispy and (gasp) they were actually done perfectly! Not used to that at other wing places... Fish sandwich was enormous. Beer selection was great. Highly recommend! read more

This review is based off my third visit here. So, I will review overall and per visit. Overall: Great beer selection. Good bar munchies. I would "drink and dine" here for the full menu given the reasons below B1stUT I would stop here for a nice beer or two. People are super nice, not pretentious. 1st Visit: Greeted by a friendly male bartender. Good beer selection, let me sample before commiting. Got an app because "I just ordered a chicken sandwich" (so, I was not warned by the bartender about the serving sizes). The fried pickles were spears which did not satisfy my craving for fried pickle chips, but I finished two spears (of 5) because as I was working through my pickles, the chicken sandwich arrived on a hugh-ass bun. It wasn't anything fancy, which I wanted. Way too much bun for the chicken and it kind of overwhelmed the chicken. Either make the chicken the size of the bun, or downsize the bun. It just didn't feel right. 2nd Visit: Good wings. 3rd Visit: The bartender working was different from the other two visits, she didn't bother to greet me or even ask me to wait until she was done with other customers, she simply ignored me. NOT COOL. The OWNER who was PAINTING had to come over to wait on me. He was too busy for that stuff. Regardless, he got me a good beer and took my order. I got these spicey mozzarella sticks which were awesome. They came with marinara which worked pretty well with the spice for some reason. I ate them all. I ordered a cheeseburger. Again with the bun. Only this time, it wasn;t a round bun but half of a hoagie bun. I ended up tearing half of the bread off because I was annoyed by it. The meat was decent, but still entirely too distracting by the bun. The owner eventually left and my beer went empty before the bartender (the one that didn't greet from the onset of my visit) asked if I wanted anything else. One of my favorite items on their menu is their infamous 'belt buster' sandwiches; the title is not an exaggeration! You will not find a more MEATY sandwich in Beaver County for the price! The quality is also exceptional! Eat there 12-15 times per year. Was always darn good food. However was there this week and was not very impressed. Pittsburgh sandwich had no taste, no seasoning, coleslaw was just there, didn't add flavor. No longer have fresh cut fries. They are the frozen freeze dried things. There were 2 of us for dinner and both had the same comments. Salt, pepper & hot sauce didn't help much. read more

Only thing I can say is absolutely terrible service. We had the waitress named Hannah and we all got wings on wing night. Our friend that was there with us did not get his wings until a half an hour after we got ours which then it took the manager to get him his wings and they eventually ended up coming out in five minutes from when we talked to him. When we said something to her about his wings all she did was give us attitude and be rude. We later asked for some more ranch and she came back and slammed them down on the table and said here you go and charges us for two and we only wanted one. When it came time for us to get our bill she took forever bringing them back and when she brought them back she slammed them down the table and said "thank you guys" in a sarcastic voice and then we left. We all gave her a $1 or less tip. The food was great, but not the service. This review is only so low because of the service we experienced. I will not be returning for awhile. read more
