    Bacon cheeseburger with shoestring fries.

Had to stop in to one of the bars as it was a dry town when I went to the Rock. Wasn't drinking but wanted to try the burger. It was a good bar burger, cooked medium with plenty of cheese. The fries could have been warmer, they are best when they come out of the fryer, these seemed to sit a bit. Got a pink lemonade to wash it down which was quite tasty. Clientele on a Saturday afternoon was mostly locals. There were a few students, but most of them were working. The staff was very friendly and our server, Dominique, was efficient and personable. I assume the atmosphere changes in the evening when more students probably show up to drink. Our table was sticky...but the silverware was clean. Festive atmosphere with plenty of TVs and a friendly staff. Friend used the ladies room and mentioned a chalkboard for confessions, like "I slept with my boss", which was funny. I didn't want to see what was in the men's room.

Not a whole lot of vegetarian options. The salad was pretty regular. The prices were a bit expensive. The setting feels a bit busy but is overall fine. Not really an ideal venue for me specifically, but would go again if a group was going.

We enjoyed our Pepperoni Balls and Beers very much!! Jennifer was our bartender/server and she was excellent as well. Attentive, but not overbearing. IF/when we are in Slippery Rock again, definitely will revisit!!

We've stopped here a couple times. Sometimes it's just drinks and sometimes we will get food as well. We stopped with our family, had a couple of drinks and ate and left really happy. The menu is big but both of us decided to try the pizza and we were happy we did. There was a gluten free option for me which was great. The pizza was good, cooked well and was served quickly. Our drinks were brought out quickly as well, despite almost all of the tables being full. We were able to pay our check and leave without much wait. This place can get busy in the evenings with the college crowd but it's worth a stop. Prices are reasonable and there is adequate parking in the front and back of then building.

    Cajun Chicken Alfredo

There was no wait here so my coworkers and I decided to eat here. The booth we sat at had a wooden bench and the legroom was scarce. I felt it was a little uncomfortable and especially if you were big/tall. Our waitress was nice and recommended a few things on the menu like the Roast Beef sandwich or the Greek Pizza. It was tempting to order what she recommended but there were so many other choices on the menu. I decided to get the Cajun Chicken Alfredo($12.99). It came with a salad too. The food took awhile and our waitress forgot about our salad until we asked where it was when our main entrees came. The salad didn't look special and I ended up giving it to my coworker. The portion for the Cajun Chicken Alfredo was very large. I thought the chicken was tasty but there was a lot of oil at the bottom as I ate more. I was full when I finished it and I was surprised I was able to. Overall, I thought this place was okay but the booths might make you want to leave.

Ate lunch there a few times last month. Food and service were very good. When in or near Slippery Rock that's my go to place.

There is also a big patio area which is wonderful for a warm spring day, or a cozy summer night. The menu contains unique items amongst its standard fare. We went with the "Polish bowl", the " Italian bowl" and the cheesesteak. The Polish bowl contained pirogies that would rival any church lent takeaway. Accompanying them was kielbasa, sauerkraut, bacon, with side of sour cream and butter. Large portions, delicious taste. The Italian bowl consisted of four enormous meatballs. The flavor reminded me of my mom's who was taught by her neighbor who was from Italy. So very delectable. I took two of the four home and made two meatball subs from them- again, so enormous. The Grumpy Beaver does not skimp on quantity, but maintains a very high level of quality. The cheesesteak equaled two you would receive from anywhere else. The inclusion of sirloin, Swiss cheese accompaniment, and the local Mancini bakery bread ( long roll) will stand against anything you get from Philly. This was scrumptious. For dessert we chose a Dubai torte, and a banana peanut butter pie. Both did not let us down, with the heavenly flavor exploding in each bite. Our waitress Gabby was sweet and very accommodating. We will be back, and you should try it!
