OK, this is "the other one", north of the condo rather than south. This time I avoided the sugary sweet stuff and went with a cappuccino, which was perfectly fine, but didn't knock my socks off or anything. I should mentioned that although I haven't had them, their pastries look very good in the case. Not sure if they're made there, or if someone brings them in, but they don't have the institutional look that the Starbucks food case has. This location, like the other one further south, has lots of fresh beans for sale too. I'd like to try some, but don't have the right apparatus with us to prepare them, so to-go coffee it is for now. read more

Every time I come to the Outer Banks, I have to make a trip here. My family and I stay up north in Corolla, but when we venture down this is always a must visit. We've been coming for years and no vacation would be complete without visiting at least once. It has great coffee, friendly staff, a unique atmosphere...basically everything I look for in a coffee shop. It also manages to avoid being overly touristy, an impressive feat for a coffee shop in a prime tourist area. If you're visiting the Outer Banks and need a caffeine fix, look no further! Stand outs were the egg cheese and ham croissant, chocolate chip scones, plain croissants, and the asiago cheese croissant. This is one of a chain of coffee shops scattered around the Outer Banks. The coffee itself is good enough, and they have all of the usual preparations, but there is little else here. The pastries are few and pedestrian, and the surroundings are just so-so. If you need a cup of jo, stop by; if you want breakfast, go somewhere else. read more

Our first time here and it's great. Friendly staff. We both had a spinach-feta croissant, the closest item on their menu to something like breakfast (and a bit more substance than a pastry). While we're both espresso drinkers we heard someone ahead of us in line order iced coffee with chocolate. We both thought "that sounds good". So we did the same. late Aug visit - Great local spot! Even my reluctant spouse agreed and commented "if I knew this place was so cool, I would have stopped by earlier". We picked up a great to-go tumbler (keeps our tea hot for 4 hrs), muffins, chai and earl grey tea. The staff was very friendly and we bought some extra items on their recommendations. I thought the chai was up to my NYC standards. I wish that we had allowed more time for our visit . Unfortunately, we didn't stop by until we were on our way out of town. Great coffee! Being from the Northeast, we're surrounded by Dunkin and Starbucks. It was so nice to get some great coffee from a locally-owned place. We had the iced heath bar and iced west third. They were both so tasty! We loved every sip and we'd highly recommend! read more

I loved the atmosphere and zen feeling here. The coffee was delicious and staff was friendly. Bakery items looked wonderful, but I was too full to try this time. Went here this morning for coffee. Figured we try someplace new. Very warm inviting atmosphere. Services was polite, friendly and quick. Coffee made the way we asked, done quickly, and great tasting. Not acidic at all. I wish we had gone here for coffee the first day. They have returning customers in us. Would recommend everyone we know to go there and even those we don't know. If you're wondering where you can get a good cup of coffee, this is the answer. Every morning they roast beans in one of their other locations. Meanwhile the store offers 3 of these varieties each morning. Their lattes, mochas, and specialty drinks are all awesome. Good pastries too. Often very busy, this cafe just has a wonderful vibe you'll notice as soon as you walk in. Stop by on your way in and out of town. This place has free wifi for customers, but no outlets. That would be fine, but they also have about one table for customers that isn't part of the pottery shop next door. There are signs everywhere that say "Please plan to finish your work by 10am because pottery customers get first-priority seating." Meh. read more

Don't bother with this coffee shop the coffee is only OK but if you order a cinnamon roll they just throw it in a brown paper with out even wrapping it in anything so when you get to work you have a roll and an icing covered bag, plus IMO I don't think a brown paper bag is clean enough to be severing food on. read more
