I cancelled service on March 9th because my internet went out on February 28th. Although I have a cancellation number it's not that easy to quit this horrible company with its extremely bad customer service. I just received the 3rd text about 'fixing' my internet. Although I'm no longer a customer, they texted me they'd be out on the 22nd as originally scheduled, then cancelled that, rescheduled for today (March 28th), then texted me that they had cancelled, then texted me the new fixit date would be March 30th. I was tempted to ignore these texts, then worried about them throwing charges onto my cancelled account. Tanya at Frontier advised me to block the texts, which I did. I also deleted auto pay from my account on the website. It looks like charges are accruing in March even though I've never had any phone or internet service in all of March. According to Tanya, this nightmare will go on for 3 months after cancellation, as charges and credits are tallied, upon which time they'll issue some sort of debit card? Would actively suggest not using FrontierTV to anyone who is considering internet service. Tried moving our service to our new house and spent countless hours with customer support to get the necessary billing straightened out, then more to actually get the new installation done. Once we finally got the right technician to come out, I specifically asked where to locate the router to give me the strongest signal for both my home office and still get strong service for tv streaming. Was assured I would have excellent service throughout our 1,100 sq ft home. Instead, we've been dealing with buffering issues, as well as quickly diminishing signal strength on our cell phones just one room away. Again, spent multiple hours on the phone with customer support and the escalation department, who will not resolve the issue without telling me I have to purchase more equipment from them. Customer support is horrible and they will take no responsibility for the multiple conflicting information they have provided throughout this process. read more

Okay, so my Frontier wifi was always kind of a pain, spotty/bad connection. I debated switching multiple times but was kinda too lazy to (because I have awesome hotspot connection with my phone). One day the wifi stopped working altogether! And it was the biggest pain getting an appointment; it took me 3 trys! The first tech person by chat was incompetent, the second phone guy was rude/the call dropped and the third phone guy was finally decent. The serviceman that came was fixed the wifi and he really saved this review. Apparently the cable was bad. He replaced it, and now my wifi sofar is much better. read more

Since I was asked to "elaborate" and then got canned responses, let's let the rest of the world know all the details too: I signed up in August for the 500/500 FiOS service. That sales rep was patient, friendly, and helpful, and at the time, I made the (profoundly incorrect) assumption the rest of the company would be run with a similar attitude. An installer showed up as scheduled, but to install the box, not the line. He had NO idea why he'd been sent if there was no way to actually hook up a box. (My second mistake, assuming a simple mix-up.) He left after promising to get the right people to contact us for the groundwork. In September I finally heard back from the third-party groundwork crew, who told me that they could not install the line because they had to cut concrete (they did not) and refused to come out to actually assess the house. They cancelled the contract without warning. Another Frontier representative came by, again with the door-to-door sales pitch, and I showed him the raw dirt at the side of the house where Spectrum had installed a line without issue TWENTY years ago. This time, an appointment was made. No communication after, and at the time they were supposed to show, they did not. They came days later; again, without a word of warning or communication, and luckily my mother was home. The line was laid in 20 minutes (the Verizon box is literally at the foot of our driveway. This wasn't a big install in the first place). Again, an appointment was made for the box installation in the garage/side of the house. The installer for THAT did not show and did not communicate his absence. I spent THREE HOURS on the phone trying to get someone to tell me a) what was going on and b) to reschedule the appointment. Every single automated system in place created problems or stonewalled me. The lack of live people to reach is pathetic. Another cancel without warning of the next appointment. The third time the appointment was placed, the guy finally showed up an hour later than the scheduled time frame. During one of the hours on the phone, a customer service rep promised a credit on our account for all the hassle so far. The installer placed the box and decided in true 90s-horror-flick fashion to cut our land line without warning before he left, leaving us with no method to call for help in an emergency (my mother is elderly and yes, we still use our AT&T land line every day). I spent two more hours on the phone trying to get someone live to speak with and resolve this. THAT person promised to credit the cost of the installation, and someone finally showed up to fix the damage three days later. Since then, the router has refused to actually connect to our wireless devices. Cue losing another SIX hours on the phone troubleshooting with someone, only to get disconnected when placed on "brief holds". The replacement router that was sent isn't much better - our wireless devices still cannot consistently connect to the supposedly blazing-fast speeds that are "coming to the box". Note that I am quite literally sitting next to the router when trying to connect a device, in case there is some interference between rooms. Still nothing. This isn't my first rodeo with wireless setup, especially on the different devices in our house. No other settings have changed except the router and ISP. The router from Spectrum was 10 years old and managed to broadcast successfully throughout the house on dual bands; technology has advanced enough that the Arris device provided by Frontier should be leaps and bounds better, not a huge step BACK in functionality. We have spent $200 on different devices trying to boost signal to get wifi into the next room. A speed test on a computer connected directly to the router only shows 100/100 ranges, usually less. That's what we were getting with Spectrum. These are speed tests on several websites, but the results are all the same. I received an automated email regarding the Visa card portion of the promotion several days ago, but in the fine print, it cannot be used for much of anything and has no cash value, if it ever does show up. Complete bait and switch. The promised Amazon Prime membership has never shown up. In sum: I was promised credit on the account for getting jerked around before installation. I was promised a credit/refund for the botched installation. The speed of internet that I was promised is NOT DELIVERED. The sales pitch promised a $100 Visa gift card, and an Amazon Prime membership that has never shown up. [And yes, I have this in writing on BOTH pink slips left behind from the salespeople.] I have wasted days of my time, lost wages at work, and run into either no live people or get hung up on when I do get a live person. The automated app 'chat' feature does not work, nor does the website. Frontier is a communications company that cannot communicate worth a damn. read more

I was hooked into their somewhat competitive pricing but was blindsided with a $150 installation cost with Frontier. Initially they said there was no need for a service tech to come out and install a line, but it was a bait and switch. All this for a very slow 6 mbps DSL line with constant outages, because Frontier did not want to invest in a high speed line at my complex like Spectrum did. One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. And to add insult to injury, they had a random phone number assigned to my account instead of my real one, which made account management a nightmare. With them, it is truly until death do you part. I'm paying for high speed WiFi, which isn't even available in my area. Now, my landline hasn't worked in months. No dial tone. Finally, after being laid off from covid, I have the hours it will take to deal with this. And, true to form, just spent 1/2 hr on hold only to be hung up on. I had my girlfriend wait in my apartment all day. The only requirement for installation. The installer Michael showed up and refused to go up to my unit because I couldn't answer the phone. Even when security offered to take him up he refused and said if I didn't answer he wasn't going to the unit, not a requirement when I made my appointment. He also said it was his last call and he wanted to go home anyway. I called multiple times after I got off work t 6 and he never answer is phone or retuned my calls. My brother came all the elect from riverside to watch the ufc fight in my new condo. Sad when a lazy employee can just ruin your day because they have no respect for others. First of all the installation technician called twice to reschedule the installment of the internet services. When they finally arrive almost a week later to install the services it took a lifetime for the services to work properly. Then a month later of having the services the internet went out. The representatives lie claiming that technicians were working to repair everyone services due to a stupid upgrade that I never asked for. Now, it is going on three days without services and I work from home. The customers representatives can not provide a date to when the services will be back on and I'm missing work because of this foolishness. My landline telephone had been out of service for over 10 days. I called on earlier in the week to report the problem. They told me that a service man would arrive today between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. At 9:45 am, Victor from Frontier arrived. It took 45 minutes for him to locate and correct them problem in this 1950s house. My mom and little brother recently passed away from cancer. So I'm moving and selling our family home and moved into a condo and I made an appointment the week 1 st week of October to get connected with a phone and internet at the new place. They gave me an appointment for Friday, October 11th, I told them I needed it for the afternoon... so I get a text stating that they will show up between 9am-1pm. I immediately called and changed it to that after noon between 1-4pm. They Thursday before I get a text showing the wrong time, so I call again to make sure they are coming out between 1-4pm on that Friday. They assured me that he was. Well, the technician came in the morning when I wasn't there and said everything is done, left the modem on my door step. I called and said he was supposed to come in the afternoon. They couldn't get him back there cause he stated it was complete. So I had to reschedule and they gave me Tuesday, October 15th between 1-5pm. TODAY! So, when I woke up for my Appointment with 3 Days blinds (they showed up when they were supposed to BTW) I noticed from Frontier a text saying the technician was working on it... I was like what? When I opened the door for 3 Day blinds I notice another modem on my door step. So the text was at 10:30am and I was asleep due to working late. 3 Day blinds to arrive at 11:30am and Frontier to arrive between 1-5pm. So I called again... the technician said he completed the work and came NOT AT THE SCHEDULE TIME BUT IN THE MORNING!!!!! He closed the order and now they want me to reschedule this appointment because they can't get someone out here on the time they gave me TWICE!!!!!!! Such POOR service, the worst EVER!!!!! I have been a Frontier wifi customer and use their internet since October 2019. I have always relied on Frontier and recommended their service to my friends and people who need internet services. Well not anymore. As someone said in their review they're good to the new customers but their old customers who have been with them they don't seem to care about. I have tried since Saturday night after Thanksgiving to get my internet up and running again to no avail. I contact Frontier on Sunday, Monday , Wednesday and the earliest they claimed they would come out to fix the box was December 1st! I use my internet to boost my phone so that my heart monitor implant works properly and registers in my doctor's office. I explained this numerous times over the course of four days to Frontier Representatives, how important depending, working Wi-Fi is and how it is essential for medical necessities such as my implant. All I got was lies; false promises that they would come out sooner however still they have not showed up and I have had no Wi-fi since Saturday night November 26th. I have gone since November 26th till December 1st, without internet access through Frontier. I am not counting on them showing up today even . When I spoke to a representative last night after 5:00 they hung up on me . That's not good customer service in my book. I would not recommend Frontier for families because of the unreliable repair service. In fact I'm looking for a new company to give me reliable Wi-Fi service so that I will not have this issue come up again. read more

My promotion special was due to expired in September so in June I called and asked if there was an early termination fee if cancelled my service and only got internet. They told me no so I was told that I was going to pay $45.99 plus the taxed for internet only. They charge me $75 installation fee because I was upgrading the internet service, what they didn't tell me was that the special rate was only going to be for 3 months. Now my rate is higher and the internet still sucks. I called and they pretty much said too bad. So I decided to cancel my service with them. BY FAR THE WORST RUN INTERNET COMPANY IN MY EXPERIENCE. I ordered service back in December 2022 and as of January 16 2023, I still don't have service. It started with the GSI contractors needing to come and run the drop from the sidewalk up to the house and that went miserably. The first contractor came and just put the box and coiled up cable in the box without running it to the house. The frontier tech then came out the following day on his scheduled appointment day but could not do anything because the drop was not completed properly by the GSI contractor. We had to re-schedule everything. GSI contractors were scheduled to come the following Monday, they did not show up. I waited on Tuesday and they still didn't come. I called in to the frontier and they said dispatch would not provide an answer to their message on when they would be showing up. I had to go back to work on Wednesday as I can't just sit on my ass waiting for people to come when they aren't scheduled to come. On Wednesday, the GSI contractors show up and dig up and bury the line but i wasn't there to verify or even check the work to make sure it was done properly. I went ahead and called frontier to schedule the tech to come out again and set the appointment for the following monday. Appointment shows in my frontier app that a tech is scheduled to arrive between 8-12pm, 1pm comes and no tech shows up to complete the install. I call in to frontier and their CS rep says no tech was assigned the ticket. Why does the app say one thing and their system say another? When the drop was completed by GSI, i even got a text that the drop was completed. The sunday before the frontier tech install, i get a text saying that the line drop is still pending on my address. WHAT?! Obviously the systems and communication between GSI and Frontier are extremely poor and doesn't work. These are all red flags of the potential quality of service you are about to get with frontier...POOR SERVICE. I called in to ask if they could send a tech out the day it was scheduled because i can't just keep taking days off to wait at home to get this install done. The earliest they said they could get another tech is the following week. That would be almost a month from when i placed the order to even get service up and running and that's a *maybe* because given all thats happened already, i'm pretty confident something else would've gone wrong. Although i was looking forward to having a new service with potentially faster speeds, given all the headaches and obviously a poorly run company throughout, i'll stick with spectrum and rest knowing my service is consistent and i'll pay a little more to deal with no headaches. Let's take it back to the beginning, I originally was going to go with spectrum (which I should of for 125/ mo with taxes and fees included and all the channels I requested) but decided to shop around. I called frontier communication where I was offered a better rate and faster Internet 500/500 at a much cheaper price @ $90 out the door with all the channels I requested MTV, BET, Disney, Oxygen, and Nickelodeon (even though this company was charging an outrageous amount for installation 75$ plus 9.99). The installer came to my apartment and was there almost 4 hours before saying that he didn't have the information to go ahead and set up my account he then left and called to come back within 30 minutes to finish setting up. To find out I had the same channels I could get with my bunny ears antenna as Cable. I am mediately called a sales representative where he stated that he was completing a CLL form for an escalation and will have corporate call me back within the next five business days. Five days had went by I decided to call back and the representative now told me that no escalation form has been filed and she would be filing one. Again I waited another five days where I was getting bills but no response from corporate. I decided to call again on a Sunday where I immediately asked to speak to a supervisor, the gentlemen on the phone informed me that the supervisor was out to lunch. As he thought I was on hold I could hear his whole conversation with "the supervisor". He then got back on the line and I asked him who he was talking to, he said the supervisor. I politely asked to speak with her, he said I had a contact corporate. At the end he said thank you have a great day and hung up as I was still talking. I called back again the following business day and spoke to a representative who sent me to the Retention department. I spoke with the lady who stated that she would remove installment fees and offered me $108 a month before taxes. I was so grateful even though I didn't get the price I was honored to finally get some closure. I thought this was the end, little did I know this is just the beginning. I received a new bill in the mail for $187, *thinks to self this isn't right. I called again and speak with Jessica who said she's going to go ahead and have the call pulled again since I've already had it pulled before to see what was offered to me. She gave me a timeframe to when I should have a call back and stated that she will set a reminder to call me back even if or if I didn't hear from corporate. The timeframe passes by and still nothing from either corporate or Jessica. Today February 13 I decided to call again to see what was happening with my bill. A call and immediately asked to speak to retention where Anthony answered the phone and said I will give you my supervisor. Marcus Who is the supervisor in the retention department stated that I was never offered $108 but would not pull the call either, he said he would not pull the call because there's no way that he can honor that price to me and that I was basically lying for saying that I was offered that amount he begins having an argument with me over the phone where I feel I was treated very unfairly with this male screaming at me! What kind a joke is this as I think to myself! this man has no customer service skills so I asked to speak to his manager he basically tells me I'm at the top of the line and there's nobody else that I can speak with. I then let Marcus know that he can just cancel everything I don't want this service, I don't want their bill, I don't want anything. He said I don't care if you don't pay your bill you're going to collections not me, and laughed at me. I informed him that I would be going to higher management to have the call pulled and he said good luck with that. I'm writing this so I can warn all you guys do not give your service to frontier communications go elsewhere if you can they're all a scam and they're all in cahoots nobody will help you! he says that all my escalations have got cleared out because 2 attempts have been made (lies, I work where I carry my phone at all times) if they do not have any contact they were immediately close your case. to this day have never received any calls from corporate it has already been two months. read more

Absolute worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. A rotted post would be better and smarter than the simians they have in their call center. I spent 3 days trying to get my internet box replaced. It was 15 years old. None of the CS people I spoke too would go "off script". They insisted that I needed to replace the battery. I said the box is 15 years old and there is no door to the battery compartment. I would have to smash the box. Not one CS listened to me. Not one. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they refused to transfer me. We went round & round... they saying I need to replace the battery, me saying there isn't any way to get to the battery, they either not understanding or not believing me. One CS actually suggested that I take the box to a hardware store and THEY would replace the battery for me!! SRSLY??? Do you get your jollies off making me look like a fool to strangers at the hardware store??? Why would z hardware store employee be responsible for changing a battery? Frontier clearly thinks I'm pretty stupid because almost everybody knows how to change batteries... if you can get to them. Well, too bad. I didn't go. Instead I cancelled my service. Oh!! I almost forgot the kicker!! When I cancelled, they said they would send a box, within a week, so I could mail back the equipment. I waited a month and then called to inquire about the box. "Your equipment is too old. We don't want it back. " Exactly what I said in the very beginning!! read more

Probably the worst internet service ever! It could barley hold up to 5 devices, when the sales rep says "our internet service holds up to 30 devices!" The internet often drops. Internet is very slow. I was on a zoom call important meeting for work and the internet stopped working in the middle of our meeting. Now they want to charge an additional 5 dollars more with out notification and say it's for "multi-device security" . THE WORST!!! Even when it was working, my frontier wi-fi was erratic and spotty and NOT cheap ($67 per mo). Then it went down completely. On two separate days I waited at home for the technician who was supposed to call when he/she was on the way. Twice no shows and no calls. After several calls to tech support, I was assured the tech was "on the way". LIES! To top it off, at 5:30pm on the second day, I called AGAIN and was told another whopper: supposedly, the technician had come but the problem was in the line outside and a different tech was needed who was coming on Monday, when I was assured, my internet would be fixed. I'll give you three guesses as to what happened......BINGO.....still no tech OR internet. Back on the phone for the umpteenth time and scheduled again for a another week away! To be fair, they gave me an $80 credit which, under the circumstances was nowhere near enough. If I had a dollar for each time someone said "We're very sorry for the inconvenience", I could retire, and yet nothing is done to rectify the situation. The first year I had them it was great. Now that my contract is up there customer service and internet service is terrible. I got an offer to renew my contract in an email. When I called to renew the "Loyalty Support" I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. They told me my rate had now doubled and did not want to keep me on as a customer and told me to call back at the end of the month to cancel if I want to switch. This is the WORST communications company. Their customers is terrible and I am putting it lightly. A landline telephone for elderly couple has been out of service for over a week. First excuse was a storm. That was last week. I had to call again and I was told that service was restored. No service had not been restored! This week they said a technician will be out to check the line on Tuesday, 8/25/202 between the hours of 8 - 5. No technician ever showed. I have a small online business in an older warehouse complex in the San Gabriel Valley. I had no choice to go with Frontier and the Wi-Fi service is absolutely horrible all we can do with their miserable service is print labels. We spoke with Frontier and inquired if there was anything we can do about the poor reception and we were told "oh sure, we can send a tech out and they can run a line that would only be ours to use blah blah blah" We were instructed to sigh a contract for them to come without them even knowing it could be done. Their techs are rude, untimely arrivals. When we were informed how much it was going to cost we canceled because it was way to expensive and honestly it was something that the owners should have been doing for the tenants. We would have been paying for the entire warehouse complex to have better Wi-Fi. Well, because we signed a contract they are holding us to it, which I don't have a problem paying for the initial tech to come out to determine all that it would have entailed but these SHADY THIEVES want to charge us for equipment that was never installed and hours that were paid to a tech. Absolutely robbery! What has happened to companies having integrity and honesty? They are just out to screw as many people over as possible. As far as I'm concerned, if I'm being charged for equipment then it's mine. But I received no response other than "you owe us for these charges cause you signed the contract. They took total advantage of the situation. Like I said we are a small business barely making it in this economy and these tech giants come along and squash the companies that are trying to make a living. It makes me absolutely sick sending them this money. So my advise is stay away from Frontier if you possibly can and DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING BASED ON ANYTHING THEY SAY. THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY.
