I called to end my service with Frontier communications the 1st of Jan 2023 as I had sold my house and was closing on the 13th and moving. I asked what was needed and they said a closing bill would be sent out. I informed them that I would not be at the current address and gave them the new address. I NEVER received a final bill from them. Today almost 2 yr later a collection hits my credit for $53 from Frontier communications via a collection company called Eastern Account System. I called Frontier to find out what was going on with this collection on my report and they said I had an open bill for $53 from Jan 2023. I informed them I have never received the bill. I told them I am in the process of closing on a new property and that collect for $53 just dropped my score over 50 points and is risking me closing on this new house. They said all I can do it call the collection agency and pay the bill. I said fine that easy. I called the collection agency and said I just need to get this resolved asap. I paid the silly $53 and I asked when will this be removed from my report. Oh They are sorry they do not remove them from the report. I am LIVID! Over a stupid $53 bill I never received I may lose this new house I have been working on for 2 months. What kind of customer service is this? Extremely Disappointed - Wasted $500 Due to Frontier's Incompetence We had a very frustrating and costly experience with Frontier Internet. When we signed up for service, we were explicitly told that we needed to run a fiber cable through our attic for the installation to work properly. This was not a small task -- it cost us an additional $500 out of pocket to get it done. Fast forward, and we find out that the fiber cable wasn't even necessary. Frontier's own technicians later confirmed that the installation could have been completed without it. In other words, we were misinformed and misled by Frontier, and now we're out $500 for something that should have never been required in the first place. This kind of miscommunication and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable from a service provider. We trusted their instructions and paid a significant amount based on that trust -- and they offered no resolution, reimbursement, or even an apology for the inconvenience and expense. Would not recommend Frontier to anyone looking for competent or trustworthy service. Poor communication, poor planning, and zero accountability. read more

Frontier is hands down the worst internet provider I've ever dealt with. I'm paying for 500 Mbps, but the speeds are barely reaching 30 Mbps--an absolute joke. When I contacted them about fixing my internet speed, they refused to send out a technician unless I forked over an additional $150 fee! Why should I pay extra for them to fix the service I'm already paying for? To make matters worse, they've made it nearly impossible to reach a human being. Their customer service process is a complete nightmare. When I finally managed to speak to someone, they were completely useless and outright refused to help unless I upgraded my plan. So not only are they failing to deliver the service I'm paying for, but they're holding basic support hostage unless I pay them more money. This company is the definition of soulless. They care nothing about their customers--only about squeezing every possible penny out of them. If you're considering Frontier, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. read more

I can see why they have a 2.3 star rating. Do not "try it for yourself" like I did. This is the absolute worst company I have ever had to dealt with. We started our service paying $45 dollars a month for well, okay wifi. We ended our service paying $90 for service which, on a good day we could use one tv. They charge you to connect the wifi, they charge you to disconnect your wifi (which we had to do ourselves) (you also apparently have to take your equipment to ups when your done to). They then charge you a "equipment restocking fee" even when your equipment was returned and in pristine condition. Honestly, I'm pretty sure they charge you to breathe in the presents of their equipment. JUST DONT DO IT. It's not worth it. read more

My DSL router/modem got taken out by lightning yesterday. I got on a chat session immediatly to get a replacement device sent out. The agent confirmed that it would be expedited. Over a day later and there is still no tracking number or email indication that a replacement has been shipped. Why is there not a better way to get a replacement from the local maintenance people. I'm guessing I won't see that device for at least 2 more days. Unaccepable. I finally received the email with tracking. Two days later! How is this acceptable response time. Meanwhile I'm trying to work from home using my phone as a hotspot and it is inadaquate. Frontier realizes that they are the only option some of us have and treat us like crap. read more

was sold a good deal through a door salesman, upon the install, they ran into a problem with the box and told me someone needed to come out to fix it. a week goes by and I hear nothing. so I call them and after fighting their AI phone center to talk to a real person, I was told they already fixed it 2 days after the initial installation. I scheduled an appointment to finish the installation, and today no one called or showed up. I ended up cancelling the service, and I feel like I dodged a bullet. I've never seen a company drop the ball so hard before. read more

I'm tired of these companies who don't keep track of their inventories and come back to me saying I didn't return their router. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the receipt that proved that I had returned it. I bought my own. I had similar problems with DirectTV and we went around and around until they found the equipment. Frontier apparently won't make the effort so they handed off a $61 charge to a credit agency. So much for user friendliness Anyway, their service was sub-par and I don't recommend Frontier. Heck, even AT&T is better. read more

If one more of your jackass solicitors pounds on my door like there's a fire and yells for someone to answer the door I will lay him out. I am sick of being nice to them. They are all rude and have no respect. Someone is training these people. If you want more customers then figure out who it is and fire him. I'd select zero stars if that were an option. read more

Very poor service. Technician left outside panel door open and took out my Internet when it rained. They said it would take 14 days to get it fixed when a technician was next door. They want to charge me a whole month 400 dollars when I told them to cancel my service because I was one day into a new billing cycle. Spectrum was out the next day and gave me more service for half the price. read more
