It was terrible! I started this process around the beginning of the month. I called one number, I got on chat online, I called a different number and I kept getting routed or told I couldn't cancel my service. I finally get to talk to a person, but they say I can't cancel without my pin. I get online to see my pin, but you guys are having an error and can't load. So I have to wait hours until you get your servers better. I finally get my pin and call back AGAIN, and now I'm told you won't prorate so I'm charged and ADDITIONAL month of service PLUS a $50 restock fee for a total of $125 I should NOT be charged. I'll be returning my equipment, and I think it will be really difficult for me to use Frontier again or my family or business or relatives or friends. I'm so disappointed in Frontier. read more

I highly do not recommend, if anything happens they take a week to fix the issue and still never show up in the time frame that they require you to be home during. end up taking off too much work sitting around waiting for them to arrive and not show and also losing work due to no internet. Sorry check back we don't have one. Ask about being compensated? Sorry you will have to call us when service is restored. It is ludicrous that a comm company that has a known outage, so they know what customers are without service can not 1. Give an estimate for the restoration and 2 can not issue compensation for the outage without the affected customers having to call back in. I was on the phone for an hour with Frontier after my internet suddenly went down at 6am. The initial young lady did her best to help. I was informed there were no outages in my area, my account was current and that this was some technical issue on their end. She got a supervisor named Jefferson on the phone and he went straight into robot mode continuously repeating that it would be 8 days before they could send a tech out to fix the problem. I make much of my living online and pay Frontier $2,000.00 a year for their "best" package. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

This is just a comment on their customer service. First time I called the phone tree kept repeating questions like it wasn't acknowledging my answers. Second time I got a live person but the setting was terrible. There were loud conversations in the background and I could hardly hear the service rep. We started having issues starting from September until when we cancelled in November and we called in & they had so called technicians come out to "fix" the issue. Which he did not & we would call the technician again who came out about 3x but because that was not recorded on their end we were not able to get credited for the time w/o internet. Horrible experience... I've been paying for 500/500 Mbps, only receiving 200 Mbps. Wasted an hour trying to connect to Customer Service... advised to go to Chat... 10 minutes later, all questions, no answers, no live operator. Advised to fo to their website for service... nothing there. Booked service with another company for 25% lowert price for twice the speed of service (1 G). They arrived to install the cable, router and WiFi in less time than my failed attempt to reach Frontier Customer Service. I tried to go online to cancel my service... of course not, you can't cancel online, you have to speak with their retention department. When I told them that I wanted to cancel, they offer to cut my monthly bill from $79 to $29. When I declined, they asked if $19 would change my mind. SMH... what is this... "Lets Make a Deal". They never expressed any concern over the slow speed and/or the lack of access to customer service. BTW... when you cancel, they do not refund the unused portion of service that you paid for in advance... is that even legal??? DO NOT USE FRONTIER INTERNET, unless you don't mind paying for less than you signed up for, and don't mind a complete absence of customer service. read more

I've been a loyal Frontier customer since they took over the former Verizon network in 2016. I even upgraded my service to 500MB Up/Down. We've had minor disagreements....that is until my service died on 3/4/21. I work from home Monday-Friday in IT, so reliable service is an absolute must! After doing my own troubleshooting (I work in IT after all), I called Frontier. They got a tech out there 90 minutes later, which is the fastest I have ever seen Frontier show up. However, it all went downhill after that. After less than 30 minutes of troubleshooting, the tech finds apparently physical line damage from their hub to my apartment. Rather than do the repairs himself right then and right there to restore my service, he says he has to log another ticket and couldn't even give me a timeline as to when it would be restored. After I relocated to my office (which had been closed due to the pandemic) so I could finish my work day, I reached out to Frontier via Facebook. They said it wouldn't be completed until 3/12/21! Which means I have to go a little over a week without services I've paid for! They wouldn't go into any details when I told them that an eight day period without service was unacceptable! First off, why are you sending out a tech who is incapable of doing all sorts of repairs? This tech should be capable of doing any repairs, and that includes fiber optic lines. You wasted not only my time, but that tech's time! If you care so much about your customers you'd do everything in your power to limit their downtime! The only reason that I have not left Frontier is because it is seemingly the only service available at my apartment complex. (I have expressed this concern to the management at my complex.). Other ISPs are strangely not available at my complex. All I'm asking for is my service to be restored fast. I pay good money for good service and I am getting NOTHING from you but "We won't fix it for eight days". That is beyond unacceptable. read more

I will give you a brief summary of the issue but more details are best in conversation. To sum it up, my wife logged in online to pay our bill early only to find that the bill has increased. Since we haven't received the  paper bill in the mail yet we called in to see what the difference was. Once we found out i started to call your competitors to find better pricing since i was not informed of any prince increases. I accepted a deal from one of your competitors and i called into your call center to cancel my service on Monday June 21, 2021 at 6:13PM. Spoke with a wonderful young lady and informed her of my cancelation. She asked why and the conversation started from there. Eventually, we both came to a mutual agreement and she convinced me to stay a loyal customer with the understanding that our agreement will be honored. The agreement was that i would keep my current pricing which my bill breakdown is $39.99 for service, $10 for router and a $3 increase for the internet infrastructure from $3.99 to $6.99 so my total monthly bill will go from $55 to $58 monthly and she will be upgrading my internet from the 200/200 to the 500/500 and setup a appt for a tech to install a new upgraded router. She also received approval to go ahead and waive the $85 tech fee. With all the conditions we mutually agreed to, i would stay a loyal customer.  Today, Tuesday June 22, 2021 i received a email stating that my new monthly charges would be $90 and i'm being charged the $85 tech fee and my next bill would be $180, which is not what was agreed. I called in to inquire about it and the first guy i spoke with said the promotions were put in incorrectly and he would have to cancel my order and tech appt to correctly input the changes. Since my wife had canceled her appts i was unhappy and asked for a supervisor. I spoke with MATT who was not willing to help or offer any solutions. He basically said the lady i spoke with was lied to me there is nothing he could do except waive the $85 fee. All monthly charges he could not do anything.  I would like a to talk to someone in the corporate department about this issue and i would like someone to pull the recorded call i had on June 21, 2021 at 6:13PM to confirm the conversation. Myself being a loyal customer am upset and feel betrayed that i would be lied to and taken advantage of about this. The conversation i had with escalation supervisor MATT really upset me and i would like to give someone in the corporate department the opportunity to correct and rectify this situation. According to (MATT) i have until July 13th to make a decision. I hope someone will do the right thing and make this situation right. I would hate for Frontier to lose a perfect paying loyal customer to a competitor because i was lied to. Even notations in the account can confirm what i was suppose to get. I would also hate to have to write a detailed and negative review against Frontier and its employees for lying to me. And i would feel obligated to inform my friends and family and social media about how i was lied to and have a supervisor tell me that another employee doesn't know the correct information and make false promises just to try to keep a customer, just to end up losing them to a competitor. I hope someone contacts me immediately, for in the meantime i will calling your competitors and making arrangements to cancel and switch service just in case Frontier doesn't correct and rectify this situation. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Frontier scheduled ME for me to come install my internet 11-2-2023 between 1-5pm. I call THEM at 4:30 pm wondering where they're at. They told me a tech came by and can't get the job done- but nobody was going to call to tell me that?! I'd give no stars if possible. Had service for less than a month. Equipment crashed. Tried troubleshooting with Russell online. Had me disassembling their equipment they mounted to my garage ceiling. Was told someone would have to come out. Earliest appointment was 4 days later because their new install appointments were priority. They would rather sell shitty service to new customers than provide good service for the current customers. Once appointment to repair was set, I was issued a warning that the repair might cost me money. Their faulty equipment and subpar installation might cost ME money. This company is a joke. Frontier is the absolute worst internet provider and company. Do NOT sign up for their services. I was a customer for less than a month before I cancelled my services with them. I get that every telecommunications company whether it be cable, internet or cellular, has its issues. However, Frontier has more than issues, it has major problems. Let's start with their technicians. The gentleman who did my install not only used a refurbished WiFi router/modem, the software was out of date, thus obsolete. Also, I was getting booted off the internet at random times throughout the day which was causing problems with my work availability. I called Frontier to explain my issue and the customer service agent submitted a ticket to have another tech come out to my house. Turns out they sent two of them. The technicians noticed the older refurbished router and gave me a new one complete with a longer Ethernet cord. They relocated my router/modem to a higher altitude because they claimed it made a difference. Also, when the techs weren't contradicting each other, they both kept pushing me to try Google mesh technology. That was actually a decent piece of advice because I looked into it and it's a good system. So after these techs left, we expected to have no problems. WRONG!! That night, we experienced lag and our internet kicked us off again. It had nothing to do with the WiFi signal because I was HARD WIRED INTO THE MODEM!! Alas, their internet is horrible. The final straw was on 2/8. Whilst enjoying Hulu, the "connection error" screen appeared, then disappeared, then reappeared, then disappeared. I thought it may have been something wrong with my PS4. Nope, it was the internet service. My PS4 showed it was trying to connect, then stopped, tried to connect, then stopped just like on Hulu. Did I mention I was paying for the gig plan? Yep! Not only were these problems happening, I was paying for them to happen! How can they get away with treating customers that way? The days of only one internet options are over! Please look elsewhere people because this excuse for a company needs us more than we need them. read more

I had to cancel service with Frontier before it even officially started due to the lack of customer service. I had an appointment to get service, a technician never showed up during the time frame, and then reported that I never let them in to install the router. I ended up rescheduling, but apparently they didn't put the new appointment through their system, so again, I didn't get service. The next available appointment was a week after move in. It's especially frustrating because I did everything right on my side, but they had a serious lack of communication on theirs. Throughout the whole process, that lasted a few days, I was on the phone for multiple hours with various people from different departments. Each department acted as if they couldn't help me and transferred me to someone else. A few of the consultants were extremely rude, stating things like, "This is so aggravating. Im so ready to go home," under their breathe. It wasn't until I called to cancel service that I got a little bit of customer service offered, since they were trying to get me to stay with them. From my experience, Frontier is extremely frustrating, disappointing, and disorganized. read more

I have had frontier Internet service on more than one occasion and have been generally satisfied with their product. My concern is with their customer service and my case there is a continuing issue of an erroneous account. That's not my address, not my phone number and not the current account that I was using, but still, the company continued to have issues with billing and we're unable to clear up the incorrect account. After trying several attempts for to be exact to fix this problem so that I could download their app and manage my account without it automatically loading the erroneous account. I decided to change back to another carrier. I did this very carefully. I was tedious in my making certain that I proceeded and covered all charges. Now months later they have on several occasions tried to bill a dormant account and notified me that the payment would not proceed having called them and made sure that I didn't have a balance. I ignored the rest of their attempts now I have received a collection notice for $155 out of the blue they sent me a return authorization through UPS for my equipment because they do not have a local place to return equipment which they have now charged me restocking fee and shipping fees. They also charged me an outstanding bill of some eight dollars, which is fine for a few days over my original contract date, but they have added some $60 as a early termination fee. Have tried by contacting both the collection agency and frontier and have received no satisfaction and no clear understanding of how they can create a bill out of thin air and I have no recourse whatsoever. read more

I have never heard good things about frontier, but after my experience, with being harassed by a frontier rep in my apartment community, I would never ever give them my business. The rep harassed my husband, newborn and I in the afternoon and then walked by our door over the course of six hours, three different times walking up to our door and taking notes on the clipboard and her phone and was here on my property until almost 8 o'clock. That's harassing and disgusting behavior for a company to exhibit to try to get business and clearly shows you how quality of a service that they provide. We didn't even request them coming out and I would never ever ever give them business. I ended up having to call the cops because there's no reason somebody should be soliciting an apartment community where nobody wants their business and it's unsettling to have a frontier person monitor my apartment for hours..... read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced!!! Doesn't even deserve a star. On August 28th I set up an appointment to have Frontier come out and connect internet for us. I was scheduled for Monday August 31. Then on August 31st I get a voicemail stating that they need to confirm my appointment, so I call them back. The rep on the phone says that they cannot find my order number and can't see any scheduled appointment to set up service. She tried to reschedule me for September 5th but I said that was not ok because we were promised that we would have internet that day. I told her that my children were unable to attend school because our internet was not connected. Only after I pushed back did the rep all of a sudden change their story and said that she finally found my appointment, but said my appointment was for Wednesday, September 2nd. Exhausted by the conversation, I conceded to have internet installed 2 days later than what I was promised. They said the tech would come between 1pm - 4pm. Cut to September 2nd, I took a vacation day from work so that I could be home for the installation, but by 4pm no technician has shown up, so I get on Frontier chat and asked them why the tech hadn't arrived yet. I was told that there were "unforeseen circumstances that caused the technician not to be able to install" my internet. The rep then tried to push me to have my internet installed on September 9th. So now I've been pushed off 2 times, have lost a day of vacation/work, and my kids are being asked to miss school for an additional week! Frustrated, I asked to speak with a manager. That rep then escalated me to Jessica, and after speaking with Jessica for over an hour, I was told that they didn't have the ability to deliver the 500mb speed of internet that I ordered. Right then my chat was disconnected and I tried over and over to reconnect, but with no success. So I reload the Frontier.com website and connect to chat again. I get on with a rep and ask to be connected to Jessica and I'm told that she is in a meeting but they would connect me with Arnold. After getting nowhere with Arnold, I asked to speak with the manager of the manager and I was passed along to Giennah. I've now been speaking with them for 2.5 hours and I'm no closer to getting internet for my family that when I started and each person is pushing me to the back of the line instead of prioritizing my needs as a customer that has been rescheduled multiple times and was not notified of their inability to complete installation. Giennah leveled with me and indicated that their scheduling team/customer service team did not communicate with the technician team and so they missed the fact that I didn't have 500mb internet connected in my area. Giennah said I could file a complaint with their tech team but that would take 72 hours, so I pitched a fit again and magically, the technician team was able to call me the next morning, and she promised that I would hear from them no later than 12pm. I told her that if I didn't hear from her by 12pm, I was going to report them to BBB. It's now 2pm on September 3rd and no call, so I get on chat and am actually on chat with them right now and the rep just said that they "will schedule me for a call back." This is insane... How many times can I be lied to? Put off? Ignored? My kids are falling behind in their education because of their incompetence and inability to do what they keep promising me they will do. read more

Their customer service is BEYOND unhelpful. One of their techs cut off our internet. We called the company and they told us we had to wait over a week for an opening so someone could come fix it. I work from home.... But they "understand" how frustrating this can be. They also lied (via FB message) that there was an "escalation freeze" but the customer service rep we talked to on the phone said no - that wasn't what was happening. If I could rate Frontier with NO stars I would. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 year and what they have done I can not even wrap my head around. I have tried several times to resolve an issue with Frontier over a phone bill. Back in January I cancelled by phone service which was a bundle package, January 18th I believe. Approx a week later, I noticed I still had phone service, I called Frontier and was told that my service would be cancelled the next billing cycle. With that being said, I assumed my service was paid until the next billing cycle. To my surprise, after being a loyal customer for over 20 years, I received a phone bill for $484.00. When I called I was bluntly told that my service was cancelled and that since I no longer was on a bundle plan I had to pay for long distance. Well, if I would have been told that initially, I would have never used my phone service which I thought was paid up until the next billing cycle. This is totally wrong for Frontier to allow a service that was cancelled, then tell the customer it would be cancelled the next billing cycle leading them to believe their service was paid up then allow charges without their knowledge. I can not tell you how disappointed I am in Frontier that I will now be seeking out other service else where. To conduct business in that way, and now especially during times like this is got to be the most absolutely poorest way of service. The money is really not the issue here, its the way Frontier conducted themselves allowing a service that was CANCELLED!!!!! I agree the phone calls were made from my phone I take total responsibility for that and even suggested that Frontier absorb half the cost but I was told in no certain term, Frontier could not help me out period. Sad, very poor customer service and what is even sadder, is the fact that you as a business assume NO responsibility to your customers. I work from home and I need a reliable ISP. Frontier is inconsistent and slow. I've had so many dropped Zoom calls. I think they slow it down on purpose, as their only solution is to "upsell" you to another, more expensive plan. I am shopping around for another provider. read more

I just moved into an apartment, and they fiberoptic cable is broken. They told me it would be fixed and I would have internet in about a week. It's been a week and a half, and no one can give me an answer on what is going on. They lie to me about what time the 3rd party contracter they hired closes, saying they cant contact them right now. They have scheduled several call backs, but never called. Tbey have scheduled for supervisors to call me back, but never called. Today i spoke to an extremely rude employee, Alyssa employee #862120, saying that I want to either speak to a supervisor, or cancel my service. And she REFUSED to do both. She just kept talking to me like I was stupid saying "what you don't want fast reliable internet? Who are you going to go with? Spectrum isn't reliable" with a condescending tone, until I just hung up. It's has been the absolute worst experience. read more

Frontier came out two months ago to install their fiber throughout the neighborhood. They ruined one of my sprinklers. I contacted them and they sent someone out and they confirmed they broke it. i Was told they were going to send a contractor out to fix it. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them or a contractor I called again and they said they would send someone asap. It's now been over two months. My sprinkler is still broken and getting ahold of them is almost impossible. I would like this fixed asap. And I would highly not recommend them to anyone. read more

I am seeing the other reviews and I couldn't agree more. One star is way too much for this company. First they start charging $4.00 for a printed bill which I had opted out of and then the representative said it was stated on the bill. Ya, on the last page of the bill in tiny type in the middle of a paragraph in the corner. I spent two and a half months trying to get this fixed and then got a $3.00 discount. My internet always shows up as "low speed" on my TV and computer. I spent over an hour trying to cancel this worthless piece of crap and then was told since I was cancelling 3 days into my billing cycle I was responsible for an entire month plus a $20 equipment fee. This has been the absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. Between trying to get a customer representative on the phone or on their "chat" is nothing short of a nightmare and the attitude of their people leaves more than a little to be desired. Will gladly pay extra for ATT, simply because of your annoying sales tactics. It seems every week your salesmen police knock at my apartment door. My partner is way more pleasant than me, and your saleswoman ignored me when I said we would think about it then tricked my partner into signing up. He canceled after she left because it was predatory and wrong to trick us into signing up. She made no mention of signing up until he gave her his information and she told us when it would be installed??? We NEVER said we wanted to sign up. Since we canceled, yall came back 2 times police knocking at the door on my days off. One day you banged on the door twice, thankfully left, but came BACK 3 hours later banging on door and YELLING. Yall are predatory as heck because I always assume its my apartment maintenance. This is the worst service i have ever dealt with. The internet is much slower than the speeds i paid for first of all. When I called to cancel my service in November they never sent the box to mail the equipment so i called back to find out where the box was because i was moving and they told me they had no record of my cancelling service.. i have them my confirmation number which they basically said didn't matter because there was nothing in their records. So after going back and forth the representative basically ignored the issue and just cancelled the service that day and acted like there was nothing she could do and that i was still gonna get charged for another month. I asked to speak to someone above her and she said it's monday and they were too busy. I wish i had read reviews before switching.. I'm sure the people in charge of this company cannot sleep at night because of the poor service and low accountability of their service agents. Why would I cancel tickets for service when I had to take 2 different days off work to wait on cable to be hooked up? Forget it man! I'll go without. Frontier Communications let me down as a POTENTIAL customer. I say potential because my service has not yet been installed before I knew they were disappointing. I ordered cable/internet service and expected install on Aug. 15th. On the day of installation I waited for a tech but no one called or came to my residence. It wasn't until I called customer service that they mentioned my installation would need to be moved to a different date because the techs needed a certain part for the 500/500 internet service. New install date was set for Sept. 5th but same result. I had to call customer service for an install update and they said it's because so many people are ordering 500/500 internet service. They said they could install 200/200 service quicker but would require another credit check. However, how does this explain my cable not being installed? It's been too much of a run around before service has even started. I can only imagine how the experience may be while doing business. I will stay with my current cable/internet provider. Recommendation: if your company cannot execute on promotions, products and services don't tell your customers you can. This sets false expectations. Completely disappointed with Frontier! First of all, it took 2 chats and 3 phone calls for them to finally tell me that they do not provide service at my new address. This included them telling me I would hear from them, in which I never did AND them asking me to contact THEM to confirm that they have me on their schedule. In addition, they do not offer prorated bills so I can't have service until I've moved. Mind-boggling how a modern company handles this. This doesn't include the many phone calls and technicans it took to actually get the service installed. Highty recommend against using this company if you can. read more

Got service installed on 2/4/22. Service is THE WORST. And can't seem to get achuman being to answer the phone. "Money saving" saved me nothing. I will start looking for service where they know what they are doing and don't leave customers hanging. Answering a phone would be a great start. One star cause it won't let me use no stars. read more
