Horrible, horrible. Misrepresentation to begin with. We booked "First Class" tickets MPLS to Tampa. Get on the plane and not only is there no first class, the seats are exactly the same as all the rest. So we sat for 11/2 hours waiting our "turn" for de-icing. Not one move to offer coffee or drinks. We finally take off and 20 minutes into the flight we find there are No perks. Nothing free. Not snacks, coffee, soda. Drinks were $8.00 each. Outrageous. And worse, they wanted tips. So the $80 were were charged for first class was a complete fraud. Checked bags cost$$$ Carry on bags cost $$$. PT Barnum is alive and well. read more

Tried to cancel a return flight from Tampa to Minneapolis 48 hours from flight. The online system would not accept refund request because we did not have a frequent flyer #. We decided to drive home due to concerns over COVID-19. We are in high risk age group. When we got home we tried again(after flight had already occurred). Despite the previous situation we were denied refund saying it was too late. We will never fly Frontier again! read more

I just had the worst possible experience with Frontier Airline. I booked a flight months ago that was supposed to be a 2 hour direct flight. Tonight when I attempted to check in to my flight, the website said my flight had changed and it was now a 20 hour flight with a 14 hour layover. WHAT?! When I searched back through my emails, I was NOT alerted by Frontier of this change. I called their customer support immediately and had to wait 30 minutes on hold to speak with a rude lady that refused to place me on a new flight. I know they have the ability to book me on another flight because that's their job, so I assume she just didn't want to. She said the best she could do for me is cancel my flight, so I did. I understand that flights have to change sometimes, but going from a 2 to a 20 hour flight (that gets in at 6 AM!) with absolutely no warning is completely unacceptable, and then the cherry on top was horrible customer service. Won't be flying Frontier again, even Delta would help me switch flights. read more

My dad flew out of MSP to CVG and he was treated awfully by the baggage check in lady in MSP. CVG was wonderful, I was there to pick him up when he landed. His bag was lost (he honestly thinks that the woman in MSP purposefully didn't tag his bag. She never asked for his name or anything just made him giver her $20 and then told him to move along. He went two days without any clothes because of this mishap. Would only fly Frontier if it was the last resort, which it was. Will definitely be using standby with Southwest or Delta instead in the future. Stay away from Frontier if you have a little more ($50-100) $ to throw down on a better airline. read more

Every Frontier flight at Tampa was delayed, ours by 4 hrs others by much more, I've had 2 friends use them this winter and their delays were 9 and 12 hrs, crew was unfriendly & never did they update us via intercom at gate, never again will I use them or the old plane we flew on. Generally when I fly I use search engines and book the least expensive flight I can find, and often Frontier ends up being an affordable option. However, their customer service is lack-luster and brash. I was recently in need of switching a flight, so I called their customer service line. Their fee to change the flight wasn't unreasonable, so I decided to go for it. Later, when I was checking in, their system said I still owed the fee. I went to the counter and asked what was up. They informed me that, despite what the phone representative said, the card declined. I felt that they should have contacted me sooner about it (or at all) so that I had more time before the flight to resolve the issue. They were not caring or empathetic at all and treated me with very little respect. tl;dr: Don't use Frontier if you want good customer service or correct information. read more

We booked a flight on Frontier for our Christmas vacation. It was considerably cheaper than any other flight. So, I did not blink twice when three months before the flight, they had a schedule change. Flights were only leaving the airport on Sundays and three other week days. So after considerable calls to speak to someone there, it was rebooked for Sunday. It took me about a month to finally get someone to assist with the change. And trying to change it online would not work. Then the dreaded email came. The day before the flight, 12 hours ahead of time. The flight was delayed due to a pilot needing more time between flights. The only way I found out why was calling customer service. I checked online and saw they do this a lot. I was concerned because this trip was important to me and my family. My parents are older and I have no idea how long they have left. So I cancelled the flight, thankful that I purchased refundable tickets. The customer service person did not notice that I had. So I had to go to a supervisor to get the refund. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone to get it. I was happy I could find another flight during a holiday period on a more dependable airline. We had no delay with the other airline and no concern the flight would be cancelled last minute. And yes, the money I thought I would save by going to Frontier was not. I just flew frontier with my wife to Atlanta for the weekend from MSP, and had a good experience! That being said, many around us did not have a good experience, so just make sure you know what you're getting into when flying frontier. We paid $40 each total round trip, so our expectations were low, but frontier exceeded our expectations. The flights arrived on time, and got us exactly where we needed to be when we needed to be there. The staff were friendly, and the seats were comfortable enough and definitely worth the $40 we paid. There are no frills or free things, so be prepared for that, but if you want to take a fun trip and are willing to take the risk longer delays, go for it! Our experience was great, and I would recommend this company to others, just don't depend on Frontier for super time sensitive trips. read more

You had better hope your bag shows up in Minneapolis if you fly on frontier otherwise you ARE NEVER GOING TO GET IT! I have driven back to the airport twice and there is no one there to help you! I was on hold for 60 minutes before I gave up and spent my Thanksgiving morning tying to get someone to help me! My children's gifts are in the bag and I can't get it for them. It seems to just depend on where you are flying from. I've heard good things but if you fly out of Denver or Minneapolis it's really bad! The staff was awful. They were rude, careless and went out of their way to screw people over. No assigned seats prior to the flight (they call you up) and if you stand in line to get an assigned seat they will chew you out. Go southwest if you can! read more

Poor vacation experience traveling with these guys. We never experienced anything like this before. Their new rule is charging you an arm and leg for carry on bags. Of you did not book directly from their site you pay extra, if your bad dimension is a cm off you pay extra (seen it happen to someone else). The funny thing is they didnt say it when you checked in at the front, but at the gate where it can cost you 100$ to check in your bag. They tried doing it to us, and we have seen it with many others. Also they have tv on every seat but that is extra cost to watch as well. Food and drinks on plane is extra cost. This is, by far, my worst travel experience. My flight through Frontier was booked through a third party website, with the first leg with Southwest. I was shocked to find out that I had to pay for a carry-on, and how drastically the fees changed depending where you paid them. I ended up checking my bag, which was one of many mistakes made this trip, the first of which was booking with this airline. The bag did not make the connection I had in Denver to Minneapolis, as there were major delays getting the plane out of taxi and unloading in Denver. The captain even noted at one point that "this evening is a comedy of errors" in relation to the fact that our gate was occupied by another plane when landed and subsequently, when we able to advance, there were no baggage handlers or ramp crew to allow the disembark. This resulted in my just making it before gate closure to my connecting flight to MSP, and my arrival there without a bag fairly late at night. There were no Frontier employees on site to help, only a phone number that myself and the 4-5 other people whose bags didn't show could call. The number seemed to pick up and just hung up within a minute. Several other passengers had this same experience. When I came back the airport this morning to try to speak with someone, no one was around because the next flight isn't until 1:50pm. So again, there was no one on site to help a customer, and the only assistance online was to fill out a form for delayed baggage with a lofty assurance a "baggage specialist" would be in touch. I decided to try back to number for central baggage that didn't work the previous evening, and reached a wonderful customer service rep (who was the only redeeming part of this experience). She located my bag, informed me it would be on the next flight, which is great except that all of my travel is now delayed waiting for it. Sure, I could have them send it to me but who knows when that will be and if it will even happen; the track record so far for my experience has not been reassuring. And before anyone retorts that this is a budget airline, you get what you pay for, this flight was more than double the cost of my Southwest flight at the start of this trip. I'm not sure in what universe a $240 one-way flight (including luggage fee) is considered budget. I will NEVER book with this airline again, and will definitely be advising my friends and family to avoid it in the future. read more

Got in line to board the plane & the lady made me step aside to pay AN ADDITIONAL $60 for my carry on!! Let me repeat that.... I was charged $60 for 1 (one) carry on bag, not a checked bag but a carry on. These are the kind of things that put an airline like frontier right in line with worst ones such as Spirit or any of these other airlines that try to nickel and dime people on things that most others freely offer. Flew round trip from MSP to ATL on the way back in ATL we arrived at the check baggage area and were relieved to see there wasn't a line as we were a bit behind schedule. Unfortunately, the ladies behind the counter (there were 3) were too busy arguing and one actually left to go "put her feet up" in the meantime we had waited 20 minutes and the line was totally full behind us. Absolutely outstanding! Cant say enough! Im 6'4 and we travelled with our 3 yr old daughter and my wife. Amazing! Daughter had TV to watch the whole way which kept her quiet and happy (unusual scenario for an Airplane!!!) and I had enough space that my legs didnt ram into the seat in front of me. Thank God! We already bought our next set of flights with frontier, a life saver. I took a chance and flew Delta more recently and it was a nightmare! Ripped arm rests, crappy plane, tiny seats (Knees rammed into the back of another seat the whole time!), plane felt like it was bouncing the whole time. Not sure if thats the pilot or plane. Plane didnt even have radio in the super incomfortable arm rests, TV? Forget about it! Not one in sight! Either way, thoroughly dissapointed with Delta and will fly with Frontier everytime even though I need a lay over in Denver from Sacramento to get to MSP, MN. Much better service and all round flights with Frontier, Thank you so much for the best service I have ever had from CA-MN. In fact best service Ive ever had in coach, PERIOD! Really nice planes! TVs in the back of every seat (With kids TV and TV and movies for everyone), radio for each seat, good snacks in air with good food available to buy (CA-MN), great staff, no problems at all even with a checked bag! Thanks Frontier! Side Note: We tried Frontier a few years ago and vowed never to fly with them again but did this once to get a really good price, now we ONLY want to fly with them! Heading out of Denver rushed in 43 minutes till take off. When to grab my boarding pass, the attendant replies "sir your to late to board this flight. You will need to pay $100 to catch the next one." Super confused I replied "I have 40 minutes to catch the flight". Yep new policy states you need to have checked in 45 minutes before the flight takes off or your SOL. No remorse, no refund and forced to pay the $100 additional dollars. I bought a ticket from this airline payed the additional money because this WAS an awesome airline. Now reduced to a budget airline, guess spirit airlines has a new competitor. Flew from Spokane to Minneapolis both ways this June. The planes were in such poor condition ripped upholstery and front pockets on all 4 planes we were on. And for the first time ever, and I fly a considerable amount for a leisure flyer, they charged for basic drinks coffee, soda etc. We were told the only way to get a glass of water was to order a beverage as well. I'm glad most of my travels take me to the west part of the country and I can fly Alaska and Southwest. read more

So I'm not flying frontier but my mother & my sister have been at the airport in Mpls since 4am waiting for a flight that was supposed to leave at 6am. It is now 10:00pm and they are still waiting. First the guy who drives the car that steers the plane on the runway didn't show up and it took the better part of the day to find someone else who could do it. Then when they finally got on the plane they were told they had to get off because the plane was broken. They were told the new part would be there by 7pm. They said it should only be 10 minutes once they got it. But guess what 4 hours later they are still waiting. You people need to close up shop! Your airline completely pathetic! Only giving 1 star because they don't let you choose negative ones. read more

Got to airport early with visions of watching football dancing in our heads. But no way to check bag with one closed service counter (only staffed 2 hours prior). I then opted to not check bag but error messages galore online prevented that as did all three of its kiosk check-ins being as broken as my back after the most uncomfortable seats in airplane history. One star is too high a rating for the gate agents,flight attendants and management of this airline. We were stranded for 2 nights and 3 days at our own expense.They left mothers and grandparents travelling with small children in the dirt while they lied for hours and then cancelled a flight. They kept promising $400 vouchers, refunds, ground transportation and overnight lodging. ALL OF THESE WERE LIES.They left so many passengers stranded late at night,leaving some of us cheap vouchers that were worthless,trying to find hotel rooms and low cost transportation until we could fly into West Trenton airport. They refused to give refunds so that we could book flights on other airlines, but consented to it after all the flights had left. FRONTIER-you are as bad as American and United. Made me check my carry-on because there was not enough space on the flight when there were plenty of empty bins. Worst experience with an airline ever. On 12-11-2014, My son and I were scheduled to fly out of the Madison, WI airport on a 5:45 AM flight. We arrived at the airport 70 minutes prior but their Kiosk wasn't issuing boarding passes. We waited in line to get help. When we got to the front, the worker said we would not be allowed to board because we didn't have boarding passes 45 minutes prior to the flight and she gave us a card to call customer service. Customer service person said we were late and not intitled to a refund and there wasn't another flight out of Madison to our destination for two days. We ended up renting a car for over $900 and I drove 12 hours so our vacation would not be ruined. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Don't ruin your vacation fly with a reputable airline!! read more

Worst airline ever !!! Pay the extra 40-50$ for delta or sun country or any other airline! DO NOT purchase tickets from a third party site either, you'll regret it !! Just like many have stated this before, they charge you to breathe, walk or talk on this airline. Carry-ons ?! NOPE - as we were allowed on the way out of state, they charged us the 25$ (online check in) or 50$ if you check in there) for our carry-on and returning home they wouldn't let us have our carry-ons as carry-ons ?!?!? They made us check in our bags costing us 100$ ?! Why ?! The check in employee was RUDE for no reason at all ! To top the cake off, because I could probably go on and on about how horrible of an experience this was for awhile the flight attendant was making her dinner, which is cool I mean we all gotta eat, but did it have to be the stinkiest most foul smelling food ever ?!?! If you want a discounted flight, but everything is difficult (at least 20-30 min ticket check in), rarely get pre check (even with global entry) get charged for everything (not kidding), then choose frontier. I took Frontier round trip from Minneapolis to Denver. The flight to Denver, 82 minutes, left 90 minutes late. The return trip left on time put I had to wait 55 minutes for my baggage. Do not use Frontier Airlines from MSP, they only have one gate and not enough people to handle a flight. The same person checks bags at the ticket counter as checks people onto the plane at the gate. If you arrive to check a bag you have to wait until the person is finished at the gate. Really sad. read more

Avoid Frontier at all costs! The flight itself was ok but they lost my husband's luggage 7 days ago and we have yet to receive it. When we discovered it didn't arrive with us, we stopped in the Frontier baggage department in Orlando. There were several people with missing bags. They didn't have any protocol or suggestions. They gave us 2 inch pieces of blank scratch paper and told us to put our name and number on it. We were leaving on a cruise the next day. At the last second, we had to take an uber around Cocoa beach to pick up a few shirts and swimwear. We called them several times, most of the time no one answered. The 2 times we left a message, no one returned our call. I took it upon myself to file an online report (no one suggested we do this). We finally reached someone today and they "think" our luggage is now in Orlando. They were going to email me as soon as we hung up to give me a claim number. Still waiting. No complaints about the flight itself, but worst customer service ever. read more

The kiosk was broken, frontier airline doesn't have eticket, so I'm forced to print a paper ticket. The line was long. I had to wait for 50min.
