    Froyo

Frost is THE BEST froyo spot on the island!! Theyre family friend and open late. Great spot for a desert spot after dinner! Theres a wide variety of toppings so great for pick people!

Dessert in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawai'i... Self-service frozen yogurt was a winner for our family because everyone could get what they wanted and the amount and toppings of their choice! I especially was impressed with the soft serve choices because there were five dairy-free options. I usually have to settle with just Dole Whip, but Frost also had non-dairy strawberry, ube, peppermint, and mango flavors! The other standout was the bowl dividers... for those of us who want their flavors separated. Thank you! I kept my 3 flavors "pure". The bowls that we created were weighed at 99 cents plus tax per ounce... not bad for a fun experience! Besides the cute decor, we also appreciated the free shared parking and the Happy Hour deal: Buy one, get one 50 percent off during the last hour before closing (8pm to 9pm for us)!

Loved this frozen yogurt shop! The yogurt was creamy and flavorful, and there were plenty of topping options. The store was clean and well stocked, and the staff was friendly. Perfect spot for a quick dessert.

They said they would be open regular hours today May 25 with a Memorial Day BOGO special. We showed up at 12 pm which is an hour past their opening time. They left the open sign on which was extremely misleading and there was a lock on the door with the chairs still up inside and not a single worker in sight. Very disappointing to have seen the deal and come all this way for it to be closed. False advertisement at its finest.

Yum! Good fro yo I like it. Maybe a little pricey but good. Bad parking situation but just park at zippys or something.

This is my favorite froyo shop... EVER. Whenever you find yourself craving a bit of winter on an island that's a never ending summer, Frost is the place to come. They have every topping option you could ever want, accompanied by a wide range of sauces. They also offer a lot of lactose free, gluten free, and dairy free options as well. Great seating area for enjoying your sweet treat with friends or little ones.

Came here on a day they had a $1 shave ice special which is an absolutely crazy deal. Follow their Instagram for a bunch of deals. They normally happen around a holiday. Service was friendly and taught us how to make the shave ice ourselves. They made about 6 local handmade syrups that we could choose! And the condensed milk was free!!? The ice was a great texture too. Not too hard and not too soft.

Clean store, friendly staff, nice seating options and area for the keiki to play. The yogurt was really tasty, there were lots of options for different dietary needs- sample cups, which was nice. Loved all the flavors and toppings! Will be back for sure :) Happy hour 8-9pm, buy 1 get one 1/2 off.

Nice place for an afternoon snack. Plenty of yogurt flavors, plus a lot of topping choices. They allow you to sample in small cups. They charge by the ounce. It's a little pricey, but good. They have off street parking and the staff is friendly

Frost is one of the few places on island that still serve froyo, which is one of my favorite sweet treats. They also sell a variety of other treats like shave ice. I got a bowl with plain tart, which is my go-to frozen yogurt flavor. Their plain tart wasn't as good as other ones I tried. It tasted a little off for some reason, maybe a bit watery? They had a wide variety of toppings, and I ended up getting the cookie dough. We went closer to closing and there was a BOGO 50% off happy hour deal. I didn't even realize this was a thing, but it was a nice surprise! There's some seating inside and a few seats outside, and there's also a decent amount of parking in their lot.

    Lina C.

Lots of topping selections, but the frozen yogurt tasted watered down. The blueberries were fresh but the mangoes tasted like fish for some weird reason. Lots of seating available. Nice friendly service.

The coolest place in Kailua... Frost...simple name complex build as the choices here are mind-blowing! Long gone are the self-serve froyo as covid has basically taken everything behind a plexiglass like a science project where your options dwindle down to a few choices...not here! This cool place on Oneawa Street will have you build your own creation with everything you can imagine and as I had zero intention how all you have to do is just take a short browse around and of course start with the frozen yogurt...and with over a dozen to choose from it can get overwhelming thought once I saw Peppermint and it's twin partner of chocolate that was an instant no brainer...chocolate peppermint twist...bam! Which then there are 14 different cereal, over 20 sweet toppings, then there still the chilled fruits and popping boba section not to mention the syrup bar of chocolate, guava, lilikoi, strawberry and so much more...ya they have LiHing as well! All this was at 0.88 an ounce. There's also a self serve shave ice which sounds like a fun thing to do with so much fun seating zones makes it a fun place to get out of the heat and into Frost zone! Thank you!

They have tons of frozen yogurt options and tons of topping options. I personally love how customizable it is, I think it's one of the only frozen yogurt places on Oahu that has 30+ topping options. The yogurt itself is always super yummy, I come everytime i'm in Kailua.

It was so yummy, I love the fresh warm bubble waffle. I could eat it plain for how good it was. So if it was empty I think it would've been faster

This is a very interesting ice cream/boba spot…read more It's actually a pretty small shop, but there are a few bar stools and bar table (6 in total, I believe). Upon entering, there is a table with an ordering menu that you fill out for the ice cream. There are no cones and no "parlor" for ice cream- only written options. The standard flavors of vanilla, creamy strawberry and chocolate are available as base choices. There were two "special" flavors of the day that was kona mud pie and another unique option. You can check off on the menu PER item how you want your ice cream in regards to toppings, syrups, in a cup or bubble waffle, single scoop or multiple scoops, etc. Hubby ordered a boba tea that you don't need to fill out on the menu sheet. I'm personally not a huge fan of boba, but he enjoyed it. The lime grape boba tea was what he ordered. As for ice cream, we ordered the following combinations: -Red velvet bubble waffle "cone" with kona mud pie ice cream and chocolate syrup - Classic bubble waffle cone with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and rainbow sprinkles - chocolate bubble waffle cone with creamy strawberry, oreo cookie crumbs and chocolate syrup The red velvet and classic bubble waffle were my favorite. The creamy strawberry ice cream was really good but the other flavors were on the sweet side- no additional toppings were necessary- in fact, I think it was overkill (though beautiful in presentation. I would probably come here again with the kids, but these are a little challenging to eat, in all honesty. The bubble waffle as a cone is nice, but not sturdy. The ice cream is nice, though options of flavor are limited. The ordering process is a little tedious when ordering multiple items, but it's understandable in order to get each one right. Cool stop if you're in the area. We walked there from Whole Foods Kailua main road (back) entrance.

I also love their teishokus which you can choose 2-3 choices. I ordered the miso butterfish combo and chose the teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura. So much food!! I couldn't finish it lol. They also offer an awesome kids' menu that I would even order from because they have a pretty good one. My daughter loved their kid's ramen and was scarfing down the noodles. My husband also enjoyed his meal and raved about the food. Staff was very friendly and accommodating with a baby which is a huge plus! They have an awesome tempura ice cream dessert that looked good but we were to full so we'll have to try it next time! We normally go on a Sunday, so thankfully free street parking and just had to cross the street. If you go on other days, just know there's only meter parking that you have to find nearby. Customer service is always amazing and they always ask how you're doing. Some downsides for me personally, there is only outdoor seating. There is a small little bench inside to wait but overall just not a place to hangout for me. There's also only one worker so sometimes if it's busy and they're juggling orders, it'll take a bit, so I always make sure I have time and not in a rush if I go, just in case.

There's apparently some bentos or plate lunches but I didn't see them or see prices for them. One of the regulars came in and asked for it but it was sold out for the day. There were a few parking spots in front in their parking lot. There seem to be a bunch of regulars. I thought the price was very reasonable and probably the best shave ice in Kailua. After I noticed the sign said Hilo style ice shave, not shave ice. I didn't see any difference but just thought it was odd that it's called ice shave. I wish there were prices listed for the add on's but it's a great deal. Next time I'll come earlier and try to snag a plate lunch.
