Finally had a chance to try Frosty and it did not disappoint! Amazing fresh quality classic burger. The classic diner/drive-in feel just ties in to the overall experience. The staff is super friendly and their service was amazing. Definitely will be making this a staple of mine. 10/10 read more

Holy shit! I've lived in Denton County my whole life and I'm old now and I can't believe I have never eaten here. I'll be honest I've came a couple of times and they were closed so I have tried. I got the original burger with double patty so it has their secret sauce, which is delicious but the big winner was the onion rings and the burger was top two burgers in Denton. First time here, sorry for the pictures took them in my car. The burger was just a basic cheeseburger with bacon and their house sauce and let me tell you it was so good and filling, I was thinking of getting a double but didn't need it. I got their fries as well, nothing special, they were fairly cooked well but some were burnt. Overall great experience, customer service was great. This restaurant inspired me to download yelp at 20 years old. Worst and most expensive restaurant I have ever been too in my life. If you like the v retro vibes then maybe that's what ur paying for but even then it sucks and feels cheap. I payed 15$ for a burger and a shake that were both super mid. I've never been so compelled to write a review until my recent visit to Frosty's Drive-In. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The service was beyond terrible - not only was it slow, but the staff were incredibly rude and offensive. As for the food, it was a complete letdown. Food is okay but theres kind of an awkward , hostile attitude to it and they're well known for being "old fashioned" in more ways than just appearances... I always feel like the staff watches you, and I always felt like just getting in and out. I'm a root beer float and jalapeño fries kinda guy myself, but at this point it might be safer to just walk a few feet over to the other establishments if you're hungry. ‍ the underside of the tables are kinda grungy and I can only imagine what the state of the kitchen and prep areas are like. It's a shame, because I feel like a strong staff makes or breaks a great restaurant, and it's hard to enjoy the food when there's so much distraction. A common denominator in the low reviews of this restaurant seems to be a sense of arrogance and pretension mixed with a lack of self-reflection. I've only been here twice and both times, I was only ever treated with respect. Food was excellent, not sure what kind of quality people expect when they are complaining about a drive-in burger joint, but I was more than satisfied. I have been coming to Frostys since I was a little kid and it still remains as one of my favorite Denton restaurants. As a family owned business the owners and employees are always so welcoming and nice. The food is really inexpensive and you can fulfill any of your classic home style American cravings here. Everything I've had is excellent, including the burgers, ice creams, and the milkshakes are especially to die for! On top of that, the restaurant still has the original 1950's diner style that makes for a great experience and photo op. The only complaint I have is the inconsistency in business hours. Often I will arrive at the restaurant to find it closed, even though online it says it's open. read more

This place has gone way downhill in the 2 years that I have lived in Denton. They used to be good but I got bad food in there yesterday. Today when I went in to complain the owners weren't at all helpful. In fact they were quite disrespectful unfortunately. I have never complained before and if I complain it has to be really bad. Found Frosty on the Eater website for places to eat in Denton as we were in town for a wedding and I had to have a good ol burger and fries before we left for home and I am so happy (and stuffed) we got to go! I mean we checked out of our hotel, got an Uber to take us not even 3 miles down the road and it was how we pictured a Frosty's to look like. It's a fast food joint, some tables outside and inside, it's off the side of the highway, parked cars and trucks, the cross street is ACME and if you know what I'm talking about you know what I'm talking about but even the font of Frosty's is how the font should be. A fun, diner looking mural on the side even though it's not a diner. It was a cloudy day so the Texans must be cold cause we were the only ones happy to sit outside and though we were probably the third or fourth customer to get there when it opened, we witnessed how many customers were coming in that next hour, just back to back to back. Patrick, the owner, seriously the nicest, humblest guy. I told him of my goal to get a burger in Texas before I head back and he referenced his burgers as old style/fashion in n out...it did not disappoint, so so good! I kept it simple: cheese, Patties, and secret sauce (little bit of lettuce too) and I found myself almost finishing the burger before noon. I saved some of it for my flight cause I had to make room for ice cream! Of course I'm going to have ice cream at a place called Frosty's! And when I came back in to get my ice cream, Patrick said "what else can I get for you suaria?", I was so touched!! I got the chocolate vanilla swirl and I asked if there was any chocolate hard shell and he told me he's thinking about it.
