Decent coffee place, I had the salted Carmel cold brew and enjoyed it along with their baked item that's similar to a scone (I forgot the name of it) but it had a thin layer cream cheese inside. It reminded me of a cross between a biscuit and scone. I'll be back again. Service was quick and to the point. It was too sweet due to the pistachio and I'm certain there was no rose whatsoever. I frequently have rose syrup in my lattes but I could not taste it at all. I even asked the worker who made it and she confirmed there was. It just tasted overly chemically for my taste. Their cold foam came out of a can (which is fine) but it was loose and airy as opposed to thick and creamy. I came here earlier today and really enjoyed my experience. The coffee was yummy, I got the cookie butter iced latte. It was good coffee but I didn't really taste the cookie butter. My friend got the banana bread latte and it definitely had more flavor. We also got some pastries. The quiche was good, as was the everything croissant. I love this little spot away from the avenues and tucked into a quiet block. The selection of drinks are plentiful and they have a nice selection of muffins and scones ect. I love the way it's decorated and it's a nice quiet spot to come on a weekday morning to sit and get some work done or enjoy peacefulness. I stopped by here after my morning gym session and ordered an iced coffee. I was planning on eating breakfast at home but this danish looked really tempting to pass up on it. A girl can never review too many coffee shops. I've been to FROTH a bunch (like 2-3 punch cards worth of times) and I plan to make it a usually stop for a caffeine fix. The good (it's all good): -The coffee is great. I've gotten everything from a hot cup of black coffee to an oat iced latte. Located in the heights on Franklin St, this place has a cute ambiance and gives relaxing vibes to have a coffee especially during weekends! I decided to go for black velvet which is a dark roast and asked for a shot of whole milk to be added which turned out to be Cafe au Lait. The dark roast felt smooth enough and was refreshing enough to wake me up on a gloomy day from the little sleep I had in my eyes! I also decided to try out their 'everything croissant' with cream cheese, it's just the bagel version of croissant and it tasted good. The pastry though seems to be bought from somewhere but was fresh enough to start the morning! The service was quick and the baristas were friendly, overall a good local place to have a coffee. Made my way to Froth twice the past couple weeks while exploring The Heights area. The decorations are so cute! The seating is abundant and has a cosy corner with couches. I've tried the peppermint mocha latte and their honey butter latte. Loved them both! They seem to do the seasonal drinks really well. I also sampled some different croissants and macaroons. FROTH on Franklin is such a cute little coffee shop with two amazing owners that really make you feel at home. Inside the shop you have some fun seating options, you can sit by the window in a built out booth (not too comfy) or a long high top table that you'll have to share with other peeps. I visited FROTH bright and early on a Saturday with my fiancé we had two drip coffee's, an almond croissant (my favorite), and an Apple turn over which comes with a side of vanilla ice cream. A very nice twist on breakfast LOL. Everything was warm gooey and delicious. Parking is limited to street parking so you'll have to keep your eyes peeled for a spot. I lived around the corner from FROTH for a few years but recently moved out of the area and I miss them dearly. Al and his family and staff are such an asset to our Heights neighborhood. I think I've tried almost every one of their pastries at this point and all have been wonderful. Their chocolate croissant is my go-to, so highly recommend that. I'm a bit gutted that I haven't discovered Froth on Franklin before because its a great coffee shop in The Heights district of JC. Tucked away on a cross street it is a bright and spacious spot with cute decor and lots of different seating areas. The people who work here are all so nice and the counter service is efficient. They have barista drinks, smoothies, sweet and savoury pastries, cookies and a daily sandwich. They use Kobrick's coffee and my coffee tasted great - very flavoursome without being bitter. Prices are good and there's a really nice atmosphere and community vibe here. I will be back! read more

This is a great spot to either grab a high quality cup of coffee "to go", sit-sip-chat with friends, or bring a laptop and do some work. Our visit was on a Sunday morning and while not crowded, a constant stream of customers came and went while we sat at the rustic high top wooden table in the center of the cafe. The decor has a hip vintage feel with old photos from the neighborhood and is tastefully decorated with a mix of tables, chairs, counters and stools, with some loungier seating areas too. Coffee - we tried a variety, including one of the brewed (medium roast) coffees, a cappuccino, and a cafe mocha. All were delicious and well-made by the barista who was meticulously working behind the counter. The kids chose a strawberry smoothie which was a good consistency (not too thick or thin), made with fresh fruit and milk, and was not overly sugary. Food options - I opted for the savory Chili Cheddar twist. It is like a croissant made into the shape of a pretzel. It was buttery and flakey; cut by the sharpness of the cheddar with a final hint of spicy goodness from the red pepper flakes. My kids and husband went for sweet - double chocolate, cranberry, and coffeecake muffins which were also moist and full of flavor. I was hoping one of them would have tried the cream cheese zucchini muffin, it was calling my name...I will have to go back for that one! The chili cheddar pretzel twist was so good I made my daughter go and order her own since she ate like half of mine! As a new place in an up and coming neighborhood, it's great to see a good business run by a local heights resident. But regardless of that, their product is excellent. Froth is the local, family owned cafe with unique decor, terrific service, and excellent coffee. The owners are friendly and personable, and the environment is suitable for longer visits. There are many outlets available to charge your laptop or cell phone, and the seating options are varied and comfortable. The prosciutto and mozzarella croissant, and the array of different types of muffins available are genuinely delicious. They now have a loyalty card- every 7th purchase nets a free 8th cup.
