Out Of Control @ Incontro Cafe What a lovely neighborhood café! From the moment you walk into Incontro, you feel like you've stepped into a friend's living room -- cozy sofas, comfy chairs, and a warm, homey atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. I want to eat everything, out of contol. The coffee is top-notch, and their pastries and Gelato are absolutely worth the stop. Everything feels fresh, seasonal, and made with care. They even have a small retail section with unique, independent items that add to the charm of the place. A special shoutout to Spencer, who took the time to give me a great rundown of everything -- from their coffee and Gelato to the irresistible Nutella bread -- and even shared a bit about the Incontro story. I'll definitely be stopping in again soon to try more from their menu. A perfect spot for coffee lovers, dessert fans, and anyone looking for a cozy corner to unwind.

NEW no-tipping neighborhood cafe serving strawberry shortcake latte and delicious chocolate chip cookies in Journal Square. I really can't stand tipping culture. I'd much rather see restaurants pay their workers a fair wage instead of shifting that responsibility onto customers. That's why it warmed my heart to see Incontro Caffe stated that they pay their staff fairly right on their signage. They even removed the tipping screen from checkout. All menu prices are tax-included, and NO EXTRA CHARGE for alternative milk. More of this, please!! It's not just a socially responsible community café. The drinks are actually delicious, and the vibes are chill and cozy. Friendly baristas, comfy seating, plenty of space, and a clean, gender-neutral bathroom. So lovely to have them in my neighborhood. *Strawberry Shortcake Latte $7 * I really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake latte, which came with strawberry purée, coffee, and a generous plop of whipped cream topped with dried strawberries. The sweetness level was just right. *Matcha Strawberry Latte $7 The matcha, on the other hand, leaned more bitter even with the strawberry purée, and I personally think it could've used a little less milk or more matcha powder. We even got to sample their Chocolate Chunk Cookie and damn, that was unbelievably delicious! It was a fat and chunky cookie packed with semi-sweet chocolate chips and sprinkled with sea salt. It seriously rivals those famous cookies in NYC.

I've been to this coffee shop way too many times at this point but I do love it. It has a very cozy atmosphere with couch seating and a few tables. The only bad thing is that it is small so getting seating is difficult. It's definitely cozy enough to read or do some work. The colors and the vibes are warm and inviting. They have a few pastries and some great coffee and matcha selections. I have become a fan of the Iced blueberry matcha. I got it with pistachio milk which is one of the non dairy options they have. The matcha seems to be of good quality and the blueberry puree that they put in the drink makes for an amazing treat that's not overly sweetened. I like that they have a no tipping option which kind of takes the pressure off. The staff that I have encountered are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I will continue to frequent.

Coffee, gelato, tasty pastries, ice drinks, beautiful and cozy ambience with excellent customer service and kind owners and staff.

A beautiful cafe in Jersey City with nice varieties of drinks, pastries and Gelato and excellent customer service and nice owners and staff!

One of the best cafes in Jersey city! The Biscoff latte is my favorite! Staff is super friendly and they even have vintage pieces for sale in the back of the cafe.

    Biscoff Latte

AMAZING coffee shop. Coffee - the menu is simple, but that's a good thing. They offer a variety of different options including a few options which are not "non-coffee" items. I got an iced Biscoff latte which was delicious. Not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Yesterday I got a vanilla latte which was also tasty. Pastries - they offer a variety of homemade pastries which are sooo good! Recommend trying the chocolate croissant warmed up to pair with a coffee. They also have different options including Nutella banana bread, caramel apple cookies, chocolate chunk cookies, various biscuits, and more. Service - This is what truly sets them apart. Every morning, I was greeted with a warm smile from everyone behind the counter. I was visiting from California, and each day I found myself saying, "Let's go back to that nice little coffee shop on the corner." I could have easily gone to Starbucks or a similar coffee chain on my way to NYC, but why? That kind of genuine kindness makes all the difference. To the wonderful owners of Incontro: you clearly know how to run a great coffee shop. If I'm ever back in Jersey City, I'll absolutely be stopping in again.

A wonderful new find here in Jersey City. There was a craft pop-up with Filipina artists! The space is so cozy and meant for socializing, I met some cool people today. Their strawberry matcha and ocular chip cookies are sooo good. The music was great too. I would do work here or come back to meet new people. There is also a permanent area with second-hand clothes in the back.

Welcome to the neighborhood! Let me be the one to create your Yelp listing lol I ordered the strawberry shortcake latte and it was amazing. It was very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and if you like strawberries you will love this inside and out. The child latte was also really good, had the classic chai experience. Not too sweet, just the right. The barista was also very welcoming and eager to help. Will definitely stop by once again or twice again. Especially since they don't charge for alternative milks. Some people might like the no tipping policy. Vibes are also immaculate. Super clean with a touch of urban.

I ordered the Iced Vanilla Protein Cold Brew, and my mom went with the French Velvet Latte (lavender and vanilla). Both drinks were delicious and well-balanced. The French Velvet in particular had a lovely floral flavor without being overpowering. My only complaint is that it felt a bit small for the price. Our group also picked up a few croissants, and everyone enjoyed them. They leaned more sweet than savory, which isn't usually my preference, but they were still tasty. The drink menu offers plenty of variety, though the pastry selection is fairly limited, and the pastries aren't baked in-house. The real standout here is the vibe. Call Me Mia is quaint but incredibly chic. The decor feels thoughtfully curated, with vintage telephones displayed in elegant frames, antique teapots, moka pots, and other charming touches throughout the space. It feels cozy, stylish, and very Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. As for service, the barista was efficient and knew what he was doing, but he came across as a bit short and matter-of-fact. Not rude, just not particularly warm or welcoming. Still, the drinks were excellent, so he definitely delivered where it mattered most. Overall, I'd happily stop back for another coffee and to soak in the beautiful atmosphere. If you're looking for a stylish coffee shop with creative drinks, Call Me Mia is worth a visit.

Everything we tried was excellent, including the hot chocolate, vanilla protein cold brew, and the cappuccino. I also really enjoyed the croissant, and the rest of the baked goods looked just as tempting. Highly recommend checking this place out!

The Pineapple Bobo with coconut milk was another good one. Pineapple and boba worked surprisingly well together. Black Grape Cheese is still my go-to. I always get it with no sugar and it's honestly not sweet at all. Mango Sago is my husband's favorite. Even with no added sugar, it's still naturally sweet because the mango is so ripe. For fresh fruit tea in JC, this is still my favorite spot. Get the seasonal fruit drinks while they're available. And you might get lucky and see the cute guy working behind the counter.

One word - YUM! Love…read moretheir lavender rose latte and the variety of flavors offered here. Tried their donuts and they're tasty - more on the baked, cake type donut. I do suggest small boxes for the donuts that have a whipped topping. I had an almond donut with a whipped topping and it was tricky to take out the bag without getting the cream lost inside. The Belgium bacon, egg and cheese was really tasty and filling. Eggs were cooked nicely, bacon was the perfect saltiness to it (but I did expect sliced of bacon not crumbled as it wasn't specified on the menu), I had the maple syrup on the side and I loved being able to just dip it when I wanted as opposed to having it mixed in the sandwich as it originally is made. Service was great - friendly, welcoming and helpful for a first timer! (Well, second after this review lol). Ambience is laid back. Great for gathering with friends or enjoying a cafe alone.
