Visited on a Saturday to get their cinnies of the month which was the biscoff and it was soooooo good. Pillowy soft, a full biscoff cookie on the top and hints of it throughout the cinnamon roll. This was my first time visiting the Jersey City location. I visited on a Friday around 8:30 AM. If you don't know already, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is when they sell their specialty cinnies. I've visited the Hoboken location before on a Saturday and there was a line before they opened at 8 AM and although it was a wait, it was well worth it. This has been our go-to coffee shop for the last year or two! However, my last visit made me compelled to write this review. The quality has gone downhill...chocolate croissant felt day-old and dry. Came back here to try their coffee drinks and they were delicious: French toast chai latte - my favorite of the two drinks I got. Lots of cinnamon and spices, and not too sweet Salted caramel latte - the saltiness is nice but it was slightly too sweet for me Almond croissant - decent! not the best I've had but still pretty good S'mores cookie- the best cookie in JC imo. I've been here twice in 48hrs and I can't get enough of this place. I came on a regularly weekday to do some work and the Hive already exceeded expectations. I visit the Hoboken location quite often but I was in the area and decided to drop in for a matcha. The girls are so welcoming and friendly, made my drink perfectly (a little sweet with the seasonal apple caramel butter syrup) and it was delicious! The cold brew with house made cold foam and lavender oat latte are a few other favorites of mine here. So happy they opened up another location for people to experience this gem of a business. Cinnamon rolls are worth it. Original is delicious but every month they've been coming out with different flavors (maple bacon, blueberry pancake, cannoli, crumb cake, etc.). My son's favorite are the cookies. They also have a bunch of other pastries and goodies, daily. They have seasonal drinks too that are always a hit! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We left close to 10 AM; they still seemed to have plenty of cinnamon rolls but the seating and play area were filled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We shared the Classic cinnamon roll and the hot cocoa cinnamon roll. They approximately twice the size of a standard cinnamon roll. I found them to be soft and fluffy with a texture the reminded me more of an eggy challah than a traditional cinnamon roll. I think the main novelty was monstrous size of the rolls. I also had a medium roast coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They only have one restroom, but it had nearly all the bells in whistles including a changing table, handicap accessibility bars, hygienic product spares, a hanger, and a step stool providing easier access to the sink. It is the best idea.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their drinks are wonderful and their food is fantastic. As somebody with many allergies, I greatly appreciate the nut free and gluten-free options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only complaint is that I do wish somebody would monitor the playroom to ensure that bigger kids that are too old to be in there don't go in, the playroom really is geared towards toddlers up to the age of maybe 6.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A lot of parents do use this as a babysitter, I've been in there a few times where kids are running around and throwing toys while the parents are in a completely other room on their phones or their laptops not even paying attention to their child, I do think this is dangerous and I think this is where a staff member should be paying attention to that area. Truly fantastic drinks here. The coffee, the matcha, and all their seasonal flavors are our favorite in Jersey city. Their cinnamon rolls are massive, gooey and delicious so I get the hype. They're only available on the weekend so your best chance of getting one is Friday morning, FYI.
