We've been eating here regularly since they opened -- all through COVID. The food is consistently excellent, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and their cleanliness is top-notch! Stopped here for breakfast as our Airbnb suggested it. This place does NOT disappoint! Got the farm breakfast and my husband got the bob. Food was amazing, large portions and the bacon.... Out of this world! We both got mimosas which were not light on the champagne which is great, especially after an 18hr drive from MA! I also got the monkey mocha and golden monkey coffee, both were delicious. The staff was upfront about the long wait on food (for a place this great, I can see why it was so long). Miserable experience absolutely terrible.... I've been coming to Frothy for years now and I have never had an experience this bad. Came in and sat down, had to wait for a server, ordered, drink came out after 20 minutes and the milk was wrong then it was supposed to be remade but took forever to be remade and still came out with the wrong milk. When the food came out, it went to the table behind us and they even said they didn't order the food like that.... How do your employees not know table numbers??? That's the first thing you learn? Anyways, finally asked to talk to a manager after being there for 40 minutes and I apparently hurt his feelings by saying all the other stores don't give this poor of service but as a manager, you should be able to take that instead of saying "Well, that was a jab.". Our server left while we were sitting there and didn't say anything, not even that someone else would replace him, which no one did! Left hungry, thirsty, and disappointed. Piss poor excuse for a cafe and the manager was extremely disrespectful.... very unfit to be a manager. read more

Visiting from Atlanta and found this spot after doing some research on great coffee shops with a farm to table menu. It far exceeded my expectations. Located in a cute neighborhood setting, there was plenty of street parking (not sure what the weekend would be like). I walked in and was promptly greeted with a warm and genuinely welcoming employee who encouraged me to sit wherever I liked. I order an almond milk latte and it was perfect in taste (slightly sweet) and temperature. I had the Farm Breakfast which was yummy and fresh. It's large with plenty of tables that encourage you to linger...read, work or just reflect. It's not too noisy and it's ambience and staff are very welcoming. It's about a 10 minute drive outside downtown...but if you have discriminating taste when it comes to your coffee and food...it's worth the short drive. read more

Had a rough experience here on Saturday. Not one to leave negative reviews often but thought this one could be constructive. My girlfriend and I arrived at around 11 on Saturday expecting a decent wait and were told 50 minutes. We gave the hostess our phone number and were told we would receive a message when our table was ready. Unfortunately no message was ever received and after 50 minutes of waiting we were told that our spot in the list had been canceled because the hostess had, 16 minutes prior, "called and texted [us] six times with no response." Evidently the hostess did not record our phone number correctly nor came outside the door of the restaurant to say the name of our party once. My issue is not with the incorrect phone number being recorded, I understand that mistakes happen, but with the lack of empathy shown when we realized there had been an issue. The hostess was not apologetic or accommodating whatsoever and essentially told us that there were no tables available and we were on our own. What an awful experience we stopped at frothy monkey after a lovely early evening walk, sat downand waited quite sometime - A couple tables had been sat around the same time we were like no big deal we're not in a hurry. Then finally ordered a beverage that took quite sometime and a paise to come back to the table she informed us they were out of the three main items: salmon which is in five entrées/ salads, chicken which is in five other other dishes and kale. Oddly enough all three items were what we had originally chosen THEN when we worked our order we also placed an appetizer order. We saw two other tables who ordered after us have their food delivered before our appetizer came. after 30 minutes had passed the waitress came back and told us they were now out of two of the items that were on the order we placed this was on a Friday evening they essentially were out of all but four main items on a 25 item menu?? they offered no discount on the two beverages we had ordered or any options and we're confused on why we said to cancel our appetizer which had yet to arrive and that we were just going to settle our check and leave - we were then told that they hope the rest of our evening went better. Only a few weeks into Nashville, first time here. Walking in was sort of lost since the sign says "wait to be seated", I did just want a coffee however and waited about 30 seconds then just went to the ordering area. The guy didn't say hi or anything, told him it was my first time and did say "welcome". Didn't tell me to scan the menu until I saw it myself. Didn't even try to at least ask what I was looking for or suggest anything, so I awkwardly stood there going through the menu (lol). Finally ordered the turtle latte (which was great) but you can tell this guy was not about customer service. Didn't say thank you after I paid, or anything for that matter. Didn't get his name but was wearing an orange "on recess" beanie. Wasn't very personable at all and seemed like me ordering was a nuisance. Coffee was great, but with the amount of coffee shops in the area this isn't the only stop. Might try one of their other locations instead. read more
