Me and friends got Acai bowls and smoothies, Acai bowls are VERY popular back home in Hawaii, so im a bit picky with high standards! so glad to have found this place, not great at all compared to Hawaii a bit watery. the pb no j is way too much peanut butter. I decided to try Fruitive because it had such great reviews but I left mostly disappointed. There was nothing really wrong with the place, but it didn't wow me either. Especially for the price! My husband and I shared a smoothie which was about 10 bucks and it was only okay. I would have preferred a fresh pressed juice but I didn't see any on their menu. This place is a staple of organic fare in the Virginia Beach Area. It's unique in its mission to be vegan organic and made of real wholesome ingredients. Over the years I haven't always loved every menu item but I love that I can count on them to deliver a health wholesome meal when I need it. The newest addition to the menu that I see is the pizzas, which this trip, I ordered the green pizza and found it to be very tasty and satisfying. Even my impish child who usually dislikes Fruitive's healthy fare was impressed and even had seconds. However, I don't like the new blended juices, I would like to see a return to the cold pressed juices even if they have to outsource it to another company. I find the blended juices to be lacking in flavor, proper drinking consistency, and I don't feel I'm getting as much nutrients from them vs the cold pressed. But overall the staff is always friendly, accommodating, and helps me with me orders every time I'm undecided and the food is good. I love fruitive and what they stand for. We need more healthy options like this and I hope to see continual growth in the brand after the setbacks Covid undoubtedly brought to not only Fruitive but other local restaurants. read more

I'm a vegetarian celiac with a sidekick, Dog, sometimes it's difficult to find outstanding places to get "fast healthy" food for myself. Dog does fine with the standard Dog food supplemented with all the cat litter he can sneak. Anyway, having lived for a time in Ocean Beach near San Diego I developed a taste for acai bowls. This was a real find simply for the acai style bowls but then I saw the collard wraps that looked amazing! I tied Dog outside the store and purchased the PB no J bowl for lunch and the Original Collard Wrap for dinner. A kind employee gave Dog a bowl of ice water and we enjoyed our lunch outside. I really did not expect that and was thankful for his kindness to Dog. Dog loved it too especially when I put a little PB no J in it to flavor the water... Be aware PB No J has cacao nibbs so as dogs are reputed to be sensitive to chocolate I'd avoid the cacao nibbs for Dog and friends. Dog gives the bowl 5/5 stars but he didn't have the San Diego bowls. I'd give it 5/5 without comparing it to a San Diego Acai bowl. It's delicious but besides the idea, it is not like the SD acai bowls. It is not as sweet as SD bowls which I Love! It tastes different which was vaguely disappointing until I just took it for what it was, something new. :) YEY! The collard wrap was filling and amazing! I am about to move away and will be trying to make these at home for my lunches. I'm in love! So easy to eat and delicious! Until I move I will be sampling their collard wraps! read more

I have not eaten here in a while and when I did- someone picked up for me. This place is super awesome! I am so thankful that my mom and I came for lunch today! They have expanded options since the last time I ate here so today I chose the avo portabella panini to share, I got the small kale salad, and mom got the small spinach berry salad. All come in a to go container and the sandwhich was wrapped in foil. At the end of the counter there is water with paper or glass cups available as well as plastic ware or silverware. There is limited seating inside and out but we were still able to find a table. The back wall is covered with gorgeous bookshelves with a pulley ladder that I absolutely adore! The best part about this place is that every thing is recyclable!!! I LOVE THAT SO MUCH!! So many people do not realize how important that is for the environment! The salads were super fresh and flavorful! The panini was the star and commanded all of our attention. I had wished I didn't have to share but the ingredients in the salad were amazing as well. My husband and I were looking for something light for a late lunch. We decided to stop by Fruitive as we've drove past it several times and never knew what was on the menu. This place would have been a lifesaver a few months ago when we attempted veganism. The restaurant is entirely plant-based, and has a rustic vibe on the interior. You wouldn't know what it was if you never stepped foot inside. I've never been a huge fan of juicing; however, these cold press juices were AMAZING! We particularly enjoyed the Kalevolution and the Beet Lemonade. We tasted about 5 different cold press juices and they were literally all amazing. The cashier explained to us their juicing process and offered us several samples. She was very knowledgable about the brand. We will definitely be returning. Haven't tried the juice yet but as a coffee lover I wasn't too fond of the coffee to be honest and its actually really expensive so if you are trying to eat healthy consistently it will hurt your wallet. For the little jar of coffee and two Slices of Avocado toast I paid $14 bucks. I understand organic food is more expensive in general but its a shame we can't have more affordable healthy options in society. Sometimes I imagine myself getting into a strict fitness regime. Balancing what I eat. Getting rid of empty calories. Paying attention to good cholesterol. Aiming for an 8 minute mile. I can hear myself erupting from a nightmare and resolving to draw a line in the sand... tomorrow. (I am Roberts self absorption.) Fruitive isn't going to solve any of my eating habits and image issues, but it does have some seemingly healthy food options. I have tasted the Peaches and Greens "liquid meal" and the Sweetgrass juice. both were good. earthy, fruity, and filling. I also tried the Southwest Romaine wrap, which was great. Both drinks had that super-green color that gives you the confidence to shoot anyone noticing you that "yeah playa i need a SCIENTIFIC calculator to add up all of these vegetable servings"-look. The interior has a little buffet for your brain with a wall full of books and art and the seating is cozy. Everything is pretty squared away. Its a really nice locally owned place with health food. the only drawback in my opinion is the price. I know its not cheap to juice and that this isn't a chain like Robeks, but 2 16oz drinks and a wrap for $30... That's like 3 Costco pizza's! okay sorry. don't spit your Wheatgrass shot at the screen (that's an additional $2-3). I will be back to try some of the other drink combinations. read more

I was a tad skeptical for some reason. But I was wrong to be. Boy boy is it good. Ordered the sampler waffles. Coconut mango was really good little bits of mamgo on it with cocnut flakes. Came with cocnut cream on the side. Avocado herb was the best of the 3 in my opinion. There was an herb mixed in the waffle mix and a generous amount of avacodo plopped on top. The banana almond was good. Right amount of sweetness my only this is there is a nice dollop of peanut butter on it then the bananas and minced almonds. Well the pb makes it quite dry. Using some of the syrup they give you helps a little but still dry for my taste. Also got a avocado cucumber sandwich withicro greens and red cherry tomatoes. It's so yummy. Loved it. The juices are really good I tried pineapple Express which is great. My belly had been messed up lately and it really helped to calm it down. Got the produce power as well. Can't go wrong with any of the large selection of juices though. Their tvs were down for some reason. The ones that display the menu but it's ok they had paper menus. All vegan. Not at all impressed with the southwest soup. It tasted like they poured hot water over rice, beans & corn...then tossed some spinach in there. Little to no flavor, and at $9/bowl, I expected to be wowed. I've had the southwest wrap on other occasions, that's pretty good.
