I planned on getting a sandwich but I saw this place and decided to look at some of their items which all look delicious plus the reviews are great. I just got an açaí bowl and it was one of the best i've had, i'm not going to lie it's hard to find a good açaí bowl so i was very pleased with my purchase. Not only was it great but the lady at the counter was very very nice to me, good service is also hard to find so i really appreciate it. The inside was really nice, it was bright and vibrant. They didn't come with syrup and no one offered any. I tried asking for some but the server walked away mid conversation which honestly threw me off. The watermelon smoothie tasted pretty much like blended watermelon with sugar and water. It wasn't bad but nothing I'd go out of my way for. I've been to the National City location before and that one is still my favorite by far. This La Mesa spot just didn't hit the same in terms of food or overall experience. One thing that stood out was the sauce situation. When I asked for sauces I was told I could only have one. I'm big on restaurants being stingy with hot sauce. It just feels unnecessary and kind of takes away from the experience. Overall it wasn't a bad visit but it didn't wow me either.

I thought the mango would come in the same container but it was packaged separately in a bag. The quantity actually surprised me. I was expecting maybe a few pieces but it looked like almost a whole mango. The portion of aguachile itself felt a little small for the price, especially after paying extra for shrimp, but still okay. It came with onions and cucumbers but barely any avocado, maybe like three pieces. The flavor of the aguachile was not what I expected though.
