Everything I have had here is amazing Fish n chips Lobster roll Lobster fries Tacos

    Fried calamari and clam chowder
    Mary P.

Saw it near the vet on the other side of the road. Glad I gave it a try. The calamari was delicious and tender 5/5. Clam chowder was 3/5 taste wise. It was hearty and filling. What threw me off were some of the ingredients, like there was celery and carrots in it. If you can, eat there vs take out.

    Ceviche. Nice chunks of pescado

Omg!! I recommend!!!! The best ceviche I've had from a truck or a restaurant! I got pescado ceviche tostada and WOW! Perfect amount of spice (I asked for an 8) good size chunks of fish and perfect seasoning! I also got a lobster taco. Good chunks of meat and sauce is very tasty! Truck looks clean and menu is a good size. Got our order fast buts not too busy out today. All in all if I'm ever down south I will definitely be looking for them!

Lobster Roll was fresh and buttery, bread was good. Clam chowder was very creamy and flavorful.

Not your ordinary food truck is their tagline - and they live up to their name 100%! The Frutti di Mare food truck has been on my radar for some time now, but I never managed to get off work in time to visit. The stars aligned today and I was able to get off in time for a visit - I did call twice though to see where the truck was at, and also later in the day to see if the truck was still open. I made it a little after 430pm today (Sunday). They close at 5pm on Sundays. I punched in the coordinates and Google gave me relatively straightforward directions on how to get here. On the weekends, they are parked at the side of a Smog check/Auto place. Easy parking since the place was closed, so you can park in any of the spaces on the lot. It's a residential area so I imagine on the weekdays, you can park along the street - but easy parking regardless. I ran into a friendly couple who were his regulars (shout out to Chris & Darlene) - and they recommended a few dishes for me to try since I wasn't sure what to get (everything looked good from the other Yelp reviews). I opted for the Lobster Roll (which comes with fries) and a small Clam Chowder soup. I was debating whether to get something else since from experience, lobster rolls tend to be either small or under-filled based on my visits to other food trucks in the area. Not here. The food is made fresh-to-order and while I was waiting, I had a friendly chat with their regular diners, Chris (and Darlene) who shared with me that they visit the truck often, and that the chef has daily specials where he serves off-the-menu items like lobster ravioli, shrimp scampi, salmon with tomato caprese salad, and swordfish. My mouth was already watering at this point looking at the various photos he shared of the special dishes. The lobster roll was amazing. It was filled to the brim with lobster meat, the roll had just the right amount of crunch to it, butter and a special orange sauce. They don't skimp on meat here at all. Hands down among the best lobster roll I've had ever. Literally five stars on this roll alone. It's awesome that he includes a side of fries for any sandwich - and he must've overheard me share with Chris that I didn't like crunch since the fries came out perfectly soft. The clam chowder was the perfect complement to the roll, with just the right amount of creaminess, veggies, and clam. Total for everything came out to a little over $28 - amazing value for the quality and quantity of food that you get. The truck moves around a lot - but this location at Westminster Blvd/La Pat Place seems to be home base for them. While it's not the best neighborhood - it's not as bad as what everyone else is making it out to be. I mean of course, I've been to sketchier places in my life - but the food is definitely worth it. Support your local businesses! Anyway, I'm already looking forward to my next visit here!

    Carne asada tacos

Food was ok. The fish n chips and lobster fries were super greasy IMO. Asada Tacos had good flavour but a little chewy. Salsas were on point though. Price was quite up there. Can't see myself coming back.

We took the combo to a nearby park in Huntington Beach.

This is a very unique take on the Lobster Roll. In all the right ways! They add mayonnaise to the sandwich which gives it a very yummy seasoning amongst the butter and the lobster and bread. The sourdough bread was toasty and buttery. My husband and I loved the sandwich and the fries were the perfect amount of seasoned and salty. The chef and his wife provided amazing customer service. I didn't like the area where they are set up to sit down and eat. Instead, we took our combo to a nearby park in HB and enjoyed a picnic.

Lobster roll and Mac and cheese

Their food truck came to visit the apartment complex I live in so I decided to stop by and give it a try. I have to say it blew away my expectations for seafood that could be served on the go. There was plenty of lobster provided in the lobster roll with a crispy buttered roll. On top of that they even provided fries which made the price of $20 well worth it. The lobster Mac and cheese was probably the best value I've ever had for the same type of dish anywhere. There was plenty of lobster provided in it and the bowl was huge lasting over 2 meals.

Shrimp and octopus ceviche. Too good!!

I've had Frutti Di Mare a handful of times since they come to my apartment community from time to time. Everything I've gotten has been super delicious! I believe the first thing I've ever tried from this truck were their fish and chips. They give big portions so you really do get a bang for your buck. I believe they give like 3-4 huge pieces of fried fish and a massive amount of fries. I've also tried my boyfriend's lobster roll, as well as my friend's lobster ravioli, and both tasted very fresh. They definitely don't skimp out on the lobster meat either. Tonight I ordered their shrimp and octopus ceviche which left me speechless. The owner was very sweet to give me a sample before purchasing which I appreciated a lot. I knew they were making it to order since it took some time to receive it. I'm glad they started putting the prices next to their items on their menu since they hadn't before. Come if you want some bombass freshass seafood!

We were headed toward REI to grab some outdoor chairs and decided to stop at GHOST Sando Shop in Huntington Beach. I've driven past this place plenty of times and never really knew what it was. It also happened to be one of the only places open in the shopping center that early, so we figured, why not? Man, we had no idea what we were missing. We ordered the Melrose for ourselves and a Club for our daughter. Marco took our order and was also the one making the sandwiches. A few minutes after we sat down, he actually walked over and asked me, "Are you sure you want the pepperoncini and tomato on the Club?" My first thought was basically, uhhh... yeah, of course I do! Then it clicked. The Club was for our daughter. Marco had remembered that from our conversation when we ordered and knew that a lot of kids probably aren't exactly excited about pepperoncini and tomatoes. Meanwhile, Dad over here completely forgot to ask for them off. That might seem like such a small thing, but THAT is customer service. Marco wasn't just taking an order, collecting payment, and moving on to the next customer. He was actually paying attention. He remembered who the sandwich was for and took the extra few seconds to come over and double check before making it. Good looking out, Marco. Seriously. And that wasn't the only interaction we had with him. Marco was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in. He talked with us, answered questions, and even gave us suggestions on other sandwiches we should try the next time we come back. Nothing felt forced or scripted. It was just genuine conversation from someone who seemed to actually care whether we enjoyed our experience. There were only two guys working while we were there, yet everything was running smoothly. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed, the bright green interior gives the place its own personality, and there's plenty of seating inside along with a really nice outdoor patio area. And most importantly, the sandwiches were GOOD. The Melrose was a great first choice, and Melody enjoyed her Club, thankfully without Dad accidentally loading it up with pepperoncini. We also grabbed some Calypso lemonades, which went perfectly with everything. We originally stopped here simply because it was open and convenient. Now it's somewhere we'll intentionally come back to. There are thousands of places where you can buy a sandwich. What makes you remember a restaurant is usually the people behind the counter. Marco made us remember GHOST. Excellent food, clean restaurant, great atmosphere, and genuinely outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be back, and next time, Marco, we're taking you up on those recommendations.
