The sandwich was slightly longer than what I usually see at other bánh mì shops. And while there were slivers of pickled daikon and carrots, the cucumber slice stretched the entire length of the sandwich. (Could this be a brand differentiator?) The bread was very good, and the crispy pork belly was crunchy and well-seasoned. The pâté had a good flavor and texture. This was my first visit to this location and my first interaction with this brand. I've noticed "THH" shops scattered around Garden Grove and Westminster. Each store has a slightly different look, so I'm guessing they might be franchises. If so, this store represented the brand well with this sandwich. read more

I found several dishes prepared and ready to go right as you walk in the door. They prepare most spring rolls in the morning so they were already out of the pork and shrimp roll at 2:30pm. We ordered the pork sausage spring roll and the grilled pork spring roll along with the shredded chicken breast bahn mi sandwich for late lunch. The rolls were both above average with veggies, mint and cilantro included along with their house peanut sauce. There was a slight bit of heat in the sauce. I just wish they didn't use shredded iceberg lettuce in their rolls. Other than that the flavors came together well. We found the bahn mi well dressed with veggies and a lot of jalapeños! This is actually the second year in a row we've come to THH sandwiches to get ourselves breakfast and lunch for a full day beach tournament. The sandwiches come out pretty fast, and the price is really affordable especially given how large the sandwiches are! We've tried the fried shrimp (takes a little extra time since they freshly heat up the shrimp), the fish cake (super flavorful, my favorite), and the tofu sandwich (also excellent flavor). The bread is crisp but soft on the inside, the veggies taste fresh, and the fillings are plentiful. I personally don't like cilantro, and so when asked they left it out of the sandwich which I appreciated. There are a few tables inside as well as kind of a long bar height counter to eat. Vietnamese coffee is super strong, really hits you in the teeth but great for a wake up drink. Mango jasmine green tea was very sweet (which I was happy with) but might be too sweet for some. Anyone who's had Vietnamese sandwiches knows what to expect. The crispy exterior of the bread with the pillowy interior of the bread, it's nice and fluffy so it doesn't cut the top of your mouth which is nice. The vegetables are nice and tangy on this sandwich, it seems sandwiches at this location have more vegetables than meat since I ordered 2 different types the combo deli and meat ball, both seemed to have more vegetables. For me, I'm a meat guy so I would of preferred 1 extra slice of meat and less vegetables. 1 extra meatball and less vegetables. The vegetables have nice big chunks of cucumbers, carrots, daikons, and jalapeños. Then you add the creaminess of the mayo top off with the cuts of meats, capital C for creamy. Extra mayo and butter, yes!!!!! It's a nice overall value of Vietnamese sandwiches. I did feel the meat ball flavor was missing, seemed a bit bland, more bites of bread than meat balls. I would prefer to chop the meat balls and spread it apart evenly so each bite is a meatball bite. With big meatballs it's like all meat then one bite is all vegetables. This is a really good place to pick up a quick lunch. They have some items already packaged and ready to go at the counter for you to choose from. I picked a package of spring rolls that had shrimp and pork inside, as well as the usual vegetables and noodles. I also got a Banh Mi with grilled pork that was easily a foot long.
