    Chicken sandwich

I didn't realize I even liked fried chicken sandwich's until I ate here! They have a variety of menu options but we always get the OG Nashville sandwich. I like the mild flavor but the group gets medium and hot. Honestly anything past hot and you're just dying- they don't kid around with the heat! Picking up an order is always quick and easy. Restaurant is clean and safe friendly!

We came here because it was walking distance from the hotel where we were staying. When we walked in there were booths to the left and to the right. We were greeted quickly by the cashier and when she saw we couldn't make up our mind she pointed to the self ordering kiosk where we could see pictures of everything on the menu. That truly helped. We ordered the lil'Nashville mild heat and the OG chicken and cheese with medium heat. Both the sandwiches tasted fresh and delicious. I even liked their pickles which were sweet and not sour. The coop sauce they use is very good. The Mac and cheese was too runny for our taste and the potato salad had too much mustard I think. The total came out to just below $40 for two sandwiches, fries, potato salad, 2 small drinks and a side of Mac & Cheese. Overall we'd return again.

Found out about the Biscoff Donut Whipped Cinnamon Maple Sugar Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich and I had to try it! This is a collaboration between Fry the Coop & Stan's Donut. Customer Service was fast and friendly. Standard clean Fry the Coop Ambiance of this location. The sandwich was decent but the chicken didn't go that well in my opinion with the sweetness of Biscoff. It's a cool collab and is worth trying at least once.

I ordered door dash from here and had the honey butter chicken sandwich and seasoned fries with honey mustard and let me tell you. This was 10000% the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The portion was sized well, the crust in the chicken was crunchy, it was the perfect spice for me (medium). It has some kick and some sweetness and I literally ate it ALL. The fries were well seasoned as well and they didn't skimp on that portion size either. Even with door dash it came really fast and was hot. If you're in the Chicago area you definitely should check them out! Disclaimer: used door dash so can't attest to the service at the restaurant

Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich. Plump and delicious.

I used to be a guy who ate spicy with a smile. I think as I continue to age, my constitution just can't take it anymore. So when I came here after a local gave me a reco, I just ordered the sandwich "normal" and it did not disappoint. It was hot enough for my taste, but if you're a spicy fan, I'd recommend going up a few notches. The level of crunch was decent, if not subtle. The flavor was on point with just the right balance of tangy heat. Paired with the house fries, the Nashville sandwich is perfect. From the pictures below, you see we didn't eat inside, so I can't speak to the ambiance that much. It was definitely busy in there, so there is obviously a loyal following. The only ding is that the price is just a few dollars high. I understand inflation, but having to pay over almost $50 for a dinner for 2 is wacky for a chicken shop. I'd love a break on a meal or a smaller potion, so that I could eat here more frequently. Either way, I'll be back, because it's good enough to save up for!

This was my first time at Fry the Coop! It's been recommended to me a number of times, but this is the first chance I had to visit and it definitely lived up to the hype. The spice levels here are no joke! My chicken sandwich was flavorful with the right amount of kick for me! I took my food to go, and the staff made sure everything was packed right. The space was clean, well lit, and incredibly spacious. I can't wait to dine in one day soon!

I've been trying to limit seed oils on suggestion of a friend who saw amazing results in his health and weight. I saw that Fry the Coop fries their chicken and fries in beef fat and stop by the fill my craving for fast food. I ordered the chicken and waffles, the donut chicken sandwich and chicken nuggets. The waffles were delicious and perfectly sweet and soft. The butter was fantastic and kind of spicy. The donut sandwich was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The nuggets were salty and I would pass on them. The fries were good also but probably even better warm. I would definitely recommend this place for a fast food place that doesn't cook with conventional oils. I would also recommend calling ahead (there was a bit of a wait). The staff was really friendly and everyone worked well together.

Stopped in for my favorite chicken sandwich, and wow today was unbelievably great, I say that every time, but today was amazing, so much sauce dripping off the side of my hand, so juicy, unreal

We stopped by to grab dinner after attending an event nearby. We arrived shortly after 8:30pm and they close at 9:00pm and it was pretty busy, after we ordered there was a line out the door. This location doesn't have a drive through like their Prospect Height's location does. After we ordered, we were given our cups to get our drinks, and our food came out shortly after. I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich in Mild which had a kick to it but it wasn't too crazy. It is topped with coleslaw and pickles. The chicken itself was extremely juicy and flavorful, and the slaw helped cut the heat a bit. As my side, I decided to get the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese had a cajun kick to it so heads up for those who are sensitive to heat! All in all it was a great experience, the staff was extremely kind and our food came out quickly. Can't wait to Fry the Coop again. :)

I liked the burger and the curly fries. They have a very large menu. The logistics of getting in and out of Schmale rd.as well as the pain points of going in for counter service rates a one-star rating for me. I did not figure in these factors into my rating. My best advice is to avoid going into the restaurant to order at the counter or to eat in the restaurant. There is no room to wait for your order to be prepared. The self serve beverage station and the order kiosks are right in the middle of where people wait for their order to be done. So it is continually "Excuse me..Excuse me..Sorry, I'm in your way." The restaurant was fully staffed and the workers were very nice. The ambiance of the eating area is poor. The booths have padding on the back but there is no padding on the seat. So you are sitting on a hard slap of formica. And of course if it is crowded, you may experience the overflow of people waiting for their counter order just hanging around your table. That is why I advise doing drive-through. I liked the food enough to try a different location. Getting and eating at a fast food place should not be this difficult.

4/17/26 ticket #B8211…read more I waited approximately 30 minutes and never received my food. After about 25 minutes, I asked for an update and was told, "We're busy." I completely understand that delays can happen, but several customers who ordered after my family and I received their food before us. A large order for a family of eight was even called ahead of ours, despite being placing their order after us. When I asked again when I could expect our food, I was told it was being worked on. However, this is an open kitchen, and there were no burgers on the grill at the time. Since I needed to return to work, I requested a refund. I was asked to leave my receipt on the counter and told it would be handled later. I asked that the refund be processed immediately, and it was eventually completed. This was especially disappointing because it was my second visit. I experienced a small issue during my first visit, and unfortunately, this experience was worse. As someone in the food industry, I was surprised there was no apology for the inconvenience. I hope ownership takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and customer service training for staff. If I don't hear back from management, I will presume they don't care about their clientele.

Food: The food was cold and honestly unappetizing. The "salt fries" arrived cold, topped with cold cheese sauce. The burger was lukewarm, greasy, and sloppy -- we stopped eating it after a couple bites because it seemed like the kind of thing that would make you feel sick. The only somewhat decent item was the onion rings, likely because they were the only thing served hot. We ended up sharing those and throwing the rest away. Even then, my stomach didn't feel right for the rest of the evening.

Because there are none within a reasonable drive distance of where I live, and I get a taste (crave, taste, potato, tomato) for them on occasion. Anyway, getting in from LaGrange Road takes some maneuvering when southbound, but I made the left turn and then the quick right, and was in. It took a few minutes to get my order in - the drive through was slammed. I waited patiently until they could take my order, so I ordered 6 White Castle burgers, a small order of fries, and a small drink. The drink machine is one of those wonders of Coke. I had a Cherry Fanta. My tongue is still red, but that tasted good. The 6 "sliders" were served nice and hot, with grilled onions. The fries were straight out of the fryer. The mens room was clean - you need a code to open the door - just ask the staff. No, I'm not sharing the code (they'd just have to change it!) Typical good White Castle. It could use a deep cleaning behind the counter, particularly to the right of the three Fryers. And under them.
