Definitely improved from their start. Pricing and sizes of sides is more reasonable. "After Pool" special pricing (taking the place of Happy Hour pricing) are bargains. You'd think that during off times, the chicken would be all dried out...not in my experience. The breasts and tenders have always been moist no matter when I get them. The chicken could still use a saltier brine for sure, but being not too salty is probably better for us anyway. This local independent place with homemade tasting chicken is great to have in the eastern part of Mont Co which has been neglected and overlooked for far too long. I hope Fryers is the start of something big and I will be contributing to this continued success as a regular customer. read more

Had the chicken tenders well spiced, tender on the inside, crunchy coating. Also, had the turtle sundae. Also very good! My first experience was horrible when thy first opened. One piece of chicken in my order was rancid and the coating was tasteless. I think they are on a better track. Looking forward to stopping by more often. read more

Fryers is not a 3 star place, anymore. IMO, they had some bumps in the road when they first opened, but every time we keep going back and it has been slightly better each visit. It's not Roaming Rooster good, but it's a very solid fried chicken sandwich joint. Love having them in the neighborhood and will continue to support them. Great concept! I will say it's nice to have a place in the neighborhood that serves ice cream, shakes, and snow cones. It states southern cooking...I'm from the deep south ( Louisiana). Nothing southern about the food except for the fried chicken and snow cones. I'm also a big fan of supporting local business. I thought I'd give it a try. We ordered the chicken sandwich, fries, baked beans and slaw. (Milkshake) The chicken was dry and unseasoned (over cooked). Nothing special just chicken on a cold bun. The fries were so salty...I wish I had of taken a pic..we threw them away because we could not eat at all. It looked as though they put the entire container of salt in the bag. As for the slaw. In the south we use mayo. It tasted as though they took a bag of slaw mix and sprinkled a little bit of vinegar on it...again nothing special. The baked beans are from a can ( which you can taste the can taste) and they were very dry. It seemed as though they tried to " fancy" them up by baking them wi a little seasoning Ughh. Sorry it didn't work! You order outside and wait. There is a small seating area to the side of the building that is uncovered, which was nice. A little unorganized on how to take and receive your order. I saw one girl walking around with an ice cream cone asking people if it was their cone expisibg the cone from several people with no mask I'm not sure how this will work when our cold weather and hard winter arrives. Overall, great concept. It was overpriced and nothing special. We will go back for the ice cream and snow cones but nothing else. It's a shame! Hope they get themselves together. Tikka Masala? -- that gives the batter a slightly acrid taste. A spice that is not normally used in fried chicken, and there's a reason for it. Decided to try yesterday with my family & Honestly this place would be better off as a shake shop. Chicken was bland nothing special, got the jumbo portion and only received one incredibly small sauce cup. Fries were tasty but not crispy at all. Mac n cheese was fine. Coleslaw wasn't that good. SHAKES WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD. What this places food lacks in flavor and quality they make up for in spades with their ice cream/shakes. Would say it was all slightly overpriced as well. This place is ridiculously good. The fried chicken sandwich is triple the size of Popeye's or Chik-Fil-A and the quality is out of this world. We also got a 4-piece chicken (pieces were huge and great flavor), Mac 'n Cheese, fries, and a Rootbeer Float. It was enough food for a family at great prices. Absolutely live this place. Waited 20 minutes for one order of chicken tenders on a Saturday at 3 in the afternoon when I could clearly see a tray of pre done tenders under a heat lamp in the back. Chicken tenders were not--in fact--tender. They were rubbery, overfried and about 300 degrees. Like burning your tongue on food that's scorching hot? If so, this place is for you. Coleslaw was probably one of the worst I've ever tasted. Just shredded cabbage and carrots with vinegar and celery seed...plus it was $2.99 for a tiny serving. Mumbo sauce tasted like mayo, ketchup and hot sauce mixed together. Not good... and a total waste of money. If you are going to open a food place during a pandemic you need to be on your 'A' game and sadly, they aren't. The fried chicken from Safeway down the street is better quality than this. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open for so long! I was so excited for it to open. I saw that it was open and stopped to try it. That was one of the biggest mistakes of my life! I wish that I could get that time back! The first time that I went there, they were closed for training. Nobody would have known that they were closed. They put a little piece of paper stating that they were closed for training. I went back the next day, there were a few people there. They were very slow taking our order. We needed to repeat it multiple times. We got some ice cream and a snow shake while we waited. The ice cream was disgusting! It wasn't even the correct color! The snow shake was ok. Our order came out sooner than we thought. We purchased a small of each of the sides. They had very little food in them. Plus, they were just thrown in the bag. The beans leaked all over everything. I told them and it was like they didn't believe me. I did not receive my order of potato salad. I told the guy that took our order. He didn't believe that we actually got it. He asked me if I was sure that I ordered it. He had to see the receipt before he gave it to me. We ordered fries because of the small amount of sides. When we got home, we ate the food. The fries were wonderful. My fiance liked the beans, but they are spicy. The coleslaw was good. That is the reason for one star. If it wasn't for that, they would have gotten a negative amount of stars. The chicken was spicy. They never told anyone about that. The chicken was hard and black underneath the skin. Stopped in after work to grab a milkshake. Milkshake was 6 dollars and change and they give you a kids sized cup. the milkshake was ok but not worth the price given the size of the cup. So wanted to like this place. Ordered delivery and the food was good. We were impressed. Then we made the mistake of going in person. The restaurant is a mess. Stuff everywhere, food prep items and ingredients left out, trash on the floor. If that's what the front of the house looks like, what does the kitchen look like? And to add insult to injury, the food was not as good as our first order. The chicken was cooked well but the fries were limp and greasy and the soft serve ice cream was so warm that she couldn't get it to swirl onto the cone properly. The fried chicken is very good. Tastes to me almost like homemade, more than the various fast food places. They did mess up my order slightly, but not a big deal. The coleslaw tastes very strongly of some spice I can't quite identify, maybe allspice. The advertised "biscuits" are not biscuits, but rolls. Pretty plain, like the kind you buy already made in the grocery store. No seasoning or flavor - I couldn't even taste it. The only thing I tasted was the buttery bun. We finally hit up Fryer's! We ordered the 8 piece chicken box with a side of fries and coleslaw. The chicken was cooked well and crispy, fries are hand cut (which I like but my hubby, not so much). We got a large fry to share and there were plenty left over. They were a bit greasy and got soggy by the time we got home, but I still liked them. The coleslaw was a vinegar base instead of Mayo, which I don't mind. It was a bit sweet. It wasn't great, but not terrible. The rolls were great! There are several dipping sauces, try them all if you can to see which you like best. Right now they have a limited menu (mostly fried chicken, chicken sandwiches and only a few sides) so don't go by the menu listed on line. Apparently, they will increase the menu in about a month. There is no indoor dining. This is more of a pick up at the window and go kind of spot. They said they have picnic tables outside for those who want to eat there, but I only saw one. Maybe they took them in because of the rain. We did have to wait about 15-20 minutes for them to fry a new batch of chicken. Overall, it was good. I think they are still working out the kinks. I would try them again in a few months to see the new menu items and if they have made any improvements. read more
