What I would liken it to most would be the older(small town) version of Fort Collins, good food, great service, small town feel, and reasonable prices. Then this little gem popped up on my maps, so we gave it a shot. It's an oddly placed coffee shop above a music store and it's comfortable, spacious, affordable and a smooth cup of coffee! The 3 ladies behind the counter were all very friendly and helpful. We had an egg croissant sandwich, avocado toast and Nutella croissant and the food was as great! My husband had an iced mocha and thought it was pretty good. Great place to meet someone and stay awhile. It is not a drive through, park and walk inside the music store and go up the stairs. read more

Absolutely love Ft Collins Coffeehouse! The atmosphere is great. It's a good place to meet up with a friend, have a business meeting, or sit and work for awhile. Their free WiFi works consistently. The beverage and food selections are excellent as well. They use high quality ingredients in everything they serve. I absolutely love this place!! The staff is so kind and SO wonderful to chat with and the hot chocolate (my regular order) is the best! I had never been here before until my boyfriend started having meetings with friends here and I love it! I work from home so it's easy to take my work to other places and this coffeehouse is perfect for that! They have big and small tables that are a perfect work area and also more comfortable seating if you don't need and table, to do some reading in. They also have beautiful photography on the walls, with a flat screen TV that always has gorgeous photos or videos on it as well. The food is super good as well and they also have pastries from a Mexican bakery that are to die for! I DEFINITELY recommend this coffee house if you're looking for a nice welcoming place to get together with friends! read more

Perhaps I am a bit utilitarian in my coffee-drinking habits, but a coffee house that isn't open before work or late at night? Not so useful to me, so it took me forever to actually use a Living Social voucher that I purchased sometime last fall. I finally found myself running errands in the area while they were open, so stopped-in. FCC is upstairs from Boomer's Music. It has a decent amount of seating, and offers free wi-fi. When I walked in there was a table with 4 moms chatting and half a dozen kids on the couches nearby, all 6 kids staring at their respective laptops. A couple of other people were seated at another table. The sole "barista" seemed harried, so I had to stand there at the register for a several minutes while she "caught up" (made a drink). I perused the menu, since I had the $15 voucher that I had to use in one visit. I was hoping there would be some enticing food since I hadn't had breakfast yet, but nothing really stood out. Bagel sandwiches. Breakfast burritos. Green chile. Packaged, dehydrated oatmeal. Sigh. On the bright side, everything was priced reasonably, like $5 or less. I ended up having to buy a bag of coffee with my mocha to use up the voucher. The mocha was unremarkable. There were a bunch of "specialty drinks" that sounded like incredible sugar bombs so maybe this is meant to be a coffeehouse for people who don't really like coffee ... or maybe for moms who are waiting for kids to finish their music lessons ... but clearly I am not in their target market. read more

Technically I am giving 3.5 stars but I will skew it to four stars. I will explain here in a sec. I was driving around town, wanting to try a new restaurant. The previous candidates were either closed for good which I did not know about or closed for the day. I love my usual staple restaurants but sometimes I just need to try something new. My blood sugar was low and I was getting into a pissy mood. I drove past Fort Collins Coffee House and knew that this was my choice for the day. This is formerly where Full Throttle Coffee used to be but they sold out to the new owner here and the decor has been changed. The coffee place is on the second floor and is wide and spacious. There is a very nice view to the south where you can sit and enjoy your snacks, coffee, tea or whatever. They have a small stage where musicians come and play sometimes too! When I walked to the counter I was greeted by an older lady who was very sincere in what she was doing and eager to please! A very wonderful attitude! I ordered a bowl of the green chile, some pumpkin bread and a chai tea. I have no complaints at all on the chai or the bread. The green chile though could have standed to be in the microwave longer. I could have said something and I am sure the very nice lady would have microwaved it longer but I was very hungry and just wanted to eat. I did not want to be high maintenance either. The green chile had a very nice bite to it though! Very tasty! Fort Collins Coffee House has a wide range of items, I think I saw an ice cream dish with bacon, very innovative! Bacon is on such a rage today to be included in such unlikely dishes. I liked the diverse menu! So if you want a quiet place to study this is a great coffee shop or to just chill! This place is in South Fort Collins so you do not have the distractions of Oldtown during your quiet time. Despite the lukewarm green chile I am having to skew this place to four stars simply because of the wonderfully courteous and sincere staff person! Having a positive attitude around your customers and enjoying where you work wears off on the customers! They do indeed notice it! read more

Great local coffee shop centrally located. Locally roasted delicious coffee (Jackie's Java). Also has local Colorado tea. My favorite is the iced coffee that uses frozen coffee iced cubes to not water down the coffee. The snacks and breakfasts are also mostly local Colorado snacks from burritos, to bread, to salsa and chili. They cater to variety of diets such as gluten free and vegan. read more

Coffee shops in Fort Collins seem to fall under three categories: corporate cosmopolitan, hipster coffee bar, dorm room chic. Ft Collins Coffeehouse fills a welcome fourth niche: that of the friendly, family-oriented, homely establishment (homely but not fusty, I should point out). If you're looking for a bright, friendly, peaceful setting for work or a coffee date with friends, this is a great option. But what about the coffee? I'm actually pretty picky about my lattes. The folk at FCC really know how to steam milk and pull a good shot. They don't roast their own beans, but the espresso they brew tastes top notch; to me at least. If there's a downside, it's location. It is still in the thick of things, in the middle of town, but I will admit it's a bit difficult to find at first (it's situated above a music store). But after your first visit, this can no longer be a real detraction. So go on. Give it a try. I can almost guarantee you won't regret it. (P.S. Not sure why it shows me from San Fran. In March 2012 Full Throttle Coffee House moved to a new location on South Mason, upstairs from Boomer Music Company and shortly there after, sold the business to Mike and Andrea Sebald, who renamed it Fort Collins Coffee House. While the love for motorcycles has not waned completely, the coffee house atmosphere has changed. It's softer. It feels like a home compared to a garage. There is comfortable seating, a corner for the kids to play and very friendly staff that make you feel welcomed like family. Being connected to Boomer Music, there are children coming in and out for music lessons while parents patiently wait in the coffee house. On Thursday nights when the lessons are done for the day, the bikers come by for "cruise night" to laugh and talk shop while sitting around a large oak kitchen table - just like Grandma's Thanksgiving table. It's an eclectic mix of men and women, old and young. Black leather wasn't spotted on anyone. This isn't a "Hell's Angels" kind of meeting. In fact, there are very few remnants of motorcycle paraphernalia. Now there's a stage for live music and a "living room" with couches and Scentsy candles. The coffee house sells an array of specialty drinks and serves typical coffee house treats from other companies - baked goods, bagels, breggos, burritos, and even Jeff's Green Chile - which has a nice kick to it. It's nothing fancy but it fits right in with the comfortable coffee house style. Most of their goods are from local purveyors, even their coffee roast coming from Jacki's Java. Their lattes seems to have a more mild, milky flavor to them. As I sat in their living room watching kids leaving music lessons while eating a tasty bowl of green chile with a latte for later, I couldn't help but think of how much the coffee house has changed over time. If you are a motorcycle junkie, there's still a place for you to hang out, but it seems as though years have tamed their wilder decor, leaving them as the comforting, friendly family-types who quietly read books in the living room while the kids practice their musical instruments. read more

I'm doing my work, one table over a family is playing Uno, a group of men are doing some city planning work, a guy is laughing out loud at some YouTube videos and a group of soccer moms are talking about school starting up.
