We got here right at open since they don't take reservations. The restaurant smelled great already and there was a line of people waiting to be seated. It went very quickly and we were seated at a table in one of the side rooms. The restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely. I think they must have forgotten about us being in the side room because no one came to take our drink order so after about 15-20 minutes of waiting we finally went and asked the hostess. She said someone would be there and after about 5 more minutes someone finally came in. After that everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and they have a nice variety of options including many non-seafood and non-teppanyaki dishes if you don't want to sit at a teppanyaki table.

Great food (tempura hot & crunchy, sushi rolls & sashimi were exceptional); very attentive server; comfortable environment. Highly recommend.

We were craving Sushi and were in the area, so this was our stop. We had been here once before, but it had been a long time. The hostess let us know it would be about 10 minutes to be seated, which was fine. The booths were full, the tepenyaki tables were busy, and they were handling lots of to go orders. Once we were seated, our waitress came to the booth pretty quickly. We ordered Sake, Gyoza appetizers, and 3 rolls. The Sake and Gyoza came out fairly quickly, but it was a bit of a wait for the rolls. They only have 2 sushi chefs and they were working as quickly as they could. The waitress offered us free soup for our patience. She said it had been a chaotic night - some food fell in the sushi oven and burned, the exhaust fans weren't working well ( it was smoky in there twice), and they ran out of tuna. She was till smiling while working and made our dining experience more pleasurable. The Gyoza were perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauce has a nice savory and tart flavor that is a perfect balance with the Gyoza. All 3 rolls were spot on. The Haegi has yellow cucumber and a little heat. The Philly Roll has salmon and cream cheeses with a sauce on top. Our favorite was the Mexican Roll with crab on the inside with avocado on the with a sweet and spicy drizzle on top. We should have passed on the soups as we were stuffed. The only issue is the floors need to be mopped. Everyone's shoes were squeaking due to the stickiness of the floors. We will definitely be back because food and service was spot on even with the few issues they were dealing with.

being from Southern California I've had my share of teppan places. This place is legit. I've been to this location a half dozen times snd it's always clean and organized. Even the bathroom toilet is clean. I appreciate that because I'm constantly taking my little ones to use the bathroom. This has been the most reasonable Teppan places I've been to. The food portions are also generous. I have a good appetite and I struggle to finish my food. The entertainment aspect is great too. The cooks are funny and very entertaining. The rest of the staff had always been friendly as well. Now to the food... in my opinion, teppan places are generally bland to me. The food is always cooked on the spot so they usually tend to lack flavor. fukkis food has always been tasty. I literally have no complaints. I highly recommend if your looking for good food and great entertainment at a reasonable price.

We were greeted and sat immediately with menus. We got hot tea while we looked over the menu. I noticed right away they had lots of options and many rolls to choose from--even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find something! For appetizers, we ordered edamame and Rock Shrimp. Edamame was perfectly salted and warm. The tempura fry on the Rock Shrimp was spot on. The yum yum sauce was decent but lacked flavor and season imo..may have been too much mayo in this batch but all good, because the shrimp was amazing all by itself. The tempura was nice and airy and the shrimp was still juicy and tender. For entrees, my roommate ordered the Chicken Katsu and his mom and I feasted on the Sushi & Sashimi for 2, which comes with 10 pieces of sushi, 15 pieces of sashimi, chef's special choice roll, and subbed our Tempura shrimp roll for a Rock n Roll. Man oh man! When the sushi arrived, it was presented beautifully and truly looked like art. Not to mention, it was SO DELICIOUS! Every piece and every bite was amazingly fresh. Hats off to the sushi chefs for doing a fabulous job. The ratio of fish to rice was on point! My roommate said the Chicken Katsu had a good cook to it and that he really liked the sauce it came with. Unfortunately I did not get our servers name and not so sure she had a name tag on. However, she was patient with us in regards to when we ordered and attentive throughout the meal. We came at a good time as the restaurant filled up by the time we left. I will definitely be back for more sashimi!

Our favorite was the Coeur d'Alene Roll, but the other two were also very tasty and unique. The Cowboy Roll has filet mignon on it, which was a new spin on sushi for us. The Blue Mountain Roll was actually shaped like triangles and had very good flavor and texture to it with just the right amount of roe mixed in. It's tough finding good sushi this far inland from the ocean, but Shiki sure raised the bar for this area. It will be our new go to for sushi here.

I was told this was the best sushi in Coeur d'Alene, so I had to check it out…read more I went for dinner, well before they closed for the day, and didn't think that I would have any issues. However, I got there and the guy asked if I had done a call ahead order. I told him that I hadn't that I was just walking up for dinner. He then told me that they might not be able to make me dinner because they had so many orders. This means they're a victim of their own success, and that's a good problem for them to have, but it doesn't make for a great dining experience. He ended up asking me what I wanted to order, which I thought was a little odd after he had told me that they probably weren't going to be able to serve me. I told him, and he told me that they could probably "fit me in" but it that it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. So I waited. To be fair, they did eventually get me my sushi. It was good, not great. They did this thing that I don't really appreciate where they put wasabi in the rolls. Not that I don't like wasabi, but don't put wasabi in the role or on my individual pieces of sushi. The last thing about this place that I would say, is that it is quite expensive. I understand that sushi is always expensive, but there is less expensive just as good sushi options in Coeur d'Alene other than this location. It's also just a food truck, which I think is super cool, but it's in a shared parking lot, and there's not really any outdoor seating. So this is definitely a to-go location. I would definitely go back if somebody else wanted to check it out, I don't know that I would make a special trip to revisit this location.

I have always been impressed with the sushi. Very fresh and delicious. Service is good too.read more

Did not expect this!…read more I've driven by this place a hundred times and was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The inside decor is dark with low lighting giving it a cozy , romantic , upscale feel. Unique decor and decorated cool. The first thing you see when you walk in is a glass floor that you can walk on and can see a table of people Dining in the basement. It's pretty cool. Our server was extremely attentive. Every time he walked by he would check our drinks or ask us if we needed anything... top notch ! The food - it's on the pricier side but worth the experience. We started off with the baked Brie and the blue cheese wedge. The baked Brie was unique. The Brie was wrapped in a house made phyllo dough and covered in caramel sauce. Accompanied by Some fruit and bread. Unique and well executed. The wedge was wonderful. Very tasty house made blue cheese dressing and bacon (I think adding some tomato or onion would have broken up the saltiness) but was still great tasting We ordered the sweet pork chop. I was impressed how moist and tender they cooked the pork.. I have to admit that it was too sweet. Even for me, who has a crazy sweet tooth. It was a unique pairing, but left no room for savory. We also ordered the seafood fettuccini. I believe they house make their pasta and Alfredo sauce. It didn't come with a ton of seafood (a couple large prawns and a few bacon wrapped scallops) but hit the spot. Their house bread they serve with your meal is the highlight! A little loaf of breast drenched in a garlic butter sauce! I'm salivating just thinking about it! I' have to admit, I have high expectations, and this place is probably the better of the many other local eateries I've tried . A little spendy- 2 people , no drinks with tip $130 ish Ambiance - 5 Food- 5 Service -5

Today's visit was no different and was deliciously fresh and yummy. I planned on getting a poke bowl and when I walked in, one of the specials of the day was a wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl...cha-ching! That's exactly what I got and with a side order of 2 crab cakes. The wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl was simple and fresh, yet packed with ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice. Poke bowls are my go-to for a protein packed meal that's healthy and leaves me feeling full. Now the crab cakes!? If you've never tried them from here and you're a crab cake lover, then do yourself a favor and order some. They were perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and stuffed with a good amount of tasty fresh crab. The 2 sauces of my choice to go with the cakes are: traditional tarter sauce and then take your lemon slice and squeeze the juice on top and mix it in and the Cajun tarter sauce--it has great flavor with a little bit of spice. My pics don't do justice--the flavor is where it's at! My roommate got his favorite Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with fries and he was a happy camper. I will say, their fries are authentic and actually taste like real potato. We arrived at lunch hour and the ambiance was definitely busy, which is normal. Service was great and food came out fairly quick. Every employee I saw stayed busy, either helping people, cleaning, or chef'ing it up.
