Stopped by since it was close to the lake and was craving ramen. I definitely wasn't expecting one nearby so was happy to see it pop up on Google/Yelp. Free parking nearby and the inside is well-decorated and polished. Even though the restaurant isn't big, they used the space well with how they arranged the tables. The menu is small and primarily ramen. We arrived around 2 PM and there were no customers inside. We ordered the spicy miso ($14.95) and we got it within 10 minutes, which was super fast service (+1). The noodles were done well and there were lots of toppings, filling the bowl to the brim. The meat was thin and not flavorful, but really enjoyed the broth and the eggs are perfectly jammy (though could be marinated longer). Hokkaido Ramen also has other appetizers, boba, and rice plates that look good and are reasonably priced. If this place wasn't so far away from where I live, I would be interested in returning to other menu items.

I Door Dashed from here so I am unsure what the dine in experience is. But if it's anything like the Door Dash experience I bet it's incredible! Back story, I have lived in So Cal on and off for 14 years. Born and raised here but spent all my 20's there and then again 35-40's. So I frequent a lot of Asian restaurants and am very picky. This place not only has the best ramen I have had here, but also rivals most in So Cal. Also their Thai tea is next level! Most places make it so sweet. This was the best we have had! So glad this place is here, it'll be our go to. Also their packaging for Door Dash was the best! I have never seen anything like it, from the well packaged bowls where the veggies are out of the water so it remains fresh, to the packaging of utensils and Thai tea. Out of this world! Can't recommend this place enough!

We've been in a serious Ramen slump since we moved to the great Inland NW, four years ago. We'd heard of Hokkaido, but some friends told us it wasn't good. So we stayed away. Different strokes for different folks. It's Ramen weather right now, and I checked Yelp to find that it had a four star rating. So I convinced my wife to go. The flavor would not stop. Noodles were plentiful, veggies were fresh and meat and egg were great. I had the Spicy Tantanmen and my wife had the Miso. It was awesome on both accounts. My wife's only complaint was that it had too much salt, but not so bad that she didn't enjoy it. In fact she said she can't wait to come back. I won't say it's the best ramen house I've ever been to because I love the ones decorated in bamboo and have free kimchi at every table or on the counter. But for sure, we will keep coming back to Hokkaido! It's a great price when compared with other ramen houses. Service is very good as well. The gentlemen at the counter was very detailed and patient when explaining how their taro tea was made. So come for the Ramen, come for the Boba, but don't come late for lunch: They close at 2:30. But don't worry, they open again for dinner. Man I'm happy we decided to eat here!

They have good quality ramen and teriyaki. The restaurant dining area was clean. This is better than the ramen places in Spokane.

We were greeted and sat immediately with menus. We got hot tea while we looked over the menu. I noticed right away they had lots of options and many rolls to choose from--even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find something! For appetizers, we ordered edamame and Rock Shrimp. Edamame was perfectly salted and warm. The tempura fry on the Rock Shrimp was spot on. The yum yum sauce was decent but lacked flavor and season imo..may have been too much mayo in this batch but all good, because the shrimp was amazing all by itself. The tempura was nice and airy and the shrimp was still juicy and tender. For entrees, my roommate ordered the Chicken Katsu and his mom and I feasted on the Sushi & Sashimi for 2, which comes with 10 pieces of sushi, 15 pieces of sashimi, chef's special choice roll, and subbed our Tempura shrimp roll for a Rock n Roll. Man oh man! When the sushi arrived, it was presented beautifully and truly looked like art. Not to mention, it was SO DELICIOUS! Every piece and every bite was amazingly fresh. Hats off to the sushi chefs for doing a fabulous job. The ratio of fish to rice was on point! My roommate said the Chicken Katsu had a good cook to it and that he really liked the sauce it came with. Unfortunately I did not get our servers name and not so sure she had a name tag on. However, she was patient with us in regards to when we ordered and attentive throughout the meal. We came at a good time as the restaurant filled up by the time we left. I will definitely be back for more sashimi!

We ordered this in via DoorDash, so I cannot speak to the restaurant details. Each of the rolls…read morewere excellent though! Our favorite was the Coeur d'Alene Roll, but the other two were also very tasty and unique. The Cowboy Roll has filet mignon on it, which was a new spin on sushi for us. The Blue Mountain Roll was actually shaped like triangles and had very good flavor and texture to it with just the right amount of roe mixed in. It's tough finding good sushi this far inland from the ocean, but Shiki sure raised the bar for this area. It will be our new go to for sushi here.

No! No! NO! If you like sushi DO NOT order here…read more Quality: 1 Overall, the rice is under seasoned and flavor is "off". In nigiri and tobiko, insufficient rice was used. Rolls were too loosely wrapped and rice not cohesive. Their version of "Sushi" just falls apart. Tobiko: does not appear fresh. It has a hazy appearance when it should be clear and bright. Not taking risk of eating. The seaweed wrap of the tobiko is twice the length it should be, leaving the excess flapping in the wind and unwinding leaving rice ball disintegrating onto the container. Unable to pick up "sush" serving. Going straight into trash. Nigiri: Ratio of rice to fish unacceptable. I question the grain of rice used. Rice is not pressed together causing it to fall apart as it is lifted. The oiliness of the salmon is suspect. In hind sight, I'm concerned about getting sick from improper refrigeration of the fish. Fingers crossed. Wait time: very slow. Value: nope. Better quality, flavor, and final product at conveyor belt sushi. Seriously, this place has no business trying to make sushi. It's embarrassing. HOW did they even get a score above 1 star is beyond me. "Kevin-san"...tried his best, but no. I watched him try and cut rolls with a cruddied up knife blade packed with rice...oof!

I went and treated myself to the Campfire and the Awesome roll. Some of my favorite rolls in town…read more The service was spot in and recommend Japanese style beer hit the spot.
