I have always been impressed with the sushi. Very fresh and delicious. Service is good too.

I was told this was the best sushi in Coeur d'Alene, so I had to check it out. I went for dinner, well before they closed for the day, and didn't think that I would have any issues. However, I got there and the guy asked if I had done a call ahead order. I told him that I hadn't that I was just walking up for dinner. He then told me that they might not be able to make me dinner because they had so many orders. This means they're a victim of their own success, and that's a good problem for them to have, but it doesn't make for a great dining experience. He ended up asking me what I wanted to order, which I thought was a little odd after he had told me that they probably weren't going to be able to serve me. I told him, and he told me that they could probably "fit me in" but it that it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. So I waited. To be fair, they did eventually get me my sushi. It was good, not great. They did this thing that I don't really appreciate where they put wasabi in the rolls. Not that I don't like wasabi, but don't put wasabi in the role or on my individual pieces of sushi. The last thing about this place that I would say, is that it is quite expensive. I understand that sushi is always expensive, but there is less expensive just as good sushi options in Coeur d'Alene other than this location. It's also just a food truck, which I think is super cool, but it's in a shared parking lot, and there's not really any outdoor seating. So this is definitely a to-go location. I would definitely go back if somebody else wanted to check it out, I don't know that I would make a special trip to revisit this location. read more

Wonderful customer service. A friend and I were in the area for the weekend. Had been to this food truck once in the past and the sushi was DELICIOUS and their prices are so reasonable. We had learned that it was important to order ahead; they are a food truck - not a full size restaurant- so it helps them be able to have enough food available for their customers. We were again so happy with the service and the sushi that we managed to get in a second visit before heading home on Sunday. We Love this place! Love this food truck! Everything has tasted fresh when we've stopped by and the slices have been big. I usually order at the truck but recommend calling in your order in advance so you don't have to wait for what usually feels like a long time. I just tend to dislike ordering over the phone (when it's a call) so I end up waiting. There is a little indoor space that the trucks seem to share but I think most people wait outside or in their car. I also love that there are multiple food trucks in that lot because the sushi lovers can shop at this truck and others can choose something else for lunch or dinner. read more

The fish is always the most fresh and his creative menu is loaded with unique options and super tasty combinations of fish and flavors. True confessions: I am "hooked" on the "Sushirito." What a hidden gem, to think good sushi could come from a food truck. My friends and I were very impressed. We got the large family assortment for $80 and it easily fed 5 people to where we were all content. Look at that pic, they did not cheap out on the fish. Typically you see fillers like California rolls and frail cucumber avocado rolls, but none of that here. Honestly, this sushi is better than some brick and mortar restaurants. Definitely worth trying and there's other trucks in the area if you want to have an assortment of different cuisines. You'll be full from this anyway though.. Came during lunch so there were quite a few of phone orders. Expect a 30 min wait at least if you come during lunch as a heads up. read more

The food is always fresh & is really big for sushi standards. It is also extremely affordable & the presentation is always beautiful. This sushi truck was okay for a quick lunch. Service was prompt and prices were reasonable. Overall, I would give my lunch a C+/B-. I thought the krab mix was way too sweet and too light on tobiko. The use of ingredients in the rolls was a bit inconsistent and messy overall: some of the avocado was overripe and some pieces of the roll didn't contain any avocado; some pieces had a lot of krab mix and some didn't; the salmon was in oddly cut pieces that didn't stay in the roll well at all. Between the two, the North Idaho roll was definitely a better and more interesting bite with the salmon and green onion flavors. The truck could benefit by tightening up the presentation and consistency of the rolls, as it could have been a B+/A- with more attention to detail. read more

I think that a sushi food truck is probably my spirit animal. I mean the whole food truck mall that it lives in is everything we need in Spokane that is right now in CDA. The truck itself is eye catching and has all these of course underwater themed decor as you walk up. The menu was easy to spot online and I immediately saw the sushi burrito and my whole life changed. I have been looking for one of these as I have never had one but see them on social ALL the time. So we ordered at the window to go - the burrito was only $16 and it would feed you alone, but of course we had to try some nigiri and some rolls as well. The tuna roll was awesome. The burrito again was HUGE. Filled with all tasty ingredients and the salmon nigiri was quite tasty. 4 stars? The white fish was hard and very odd tasting and my husband didn't like it just as much as I did. Not to mention this place is so close to the lake that we had a SUSHI PICNIC on the LAKE! I would have never thought about buying sushi out of a food truck, but after seeing some pictures and reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this place a try. This food truck is located in a parking lot on Best and is colorfully decorated on the outside. There is a wooden deck with a built in bench that sits in front of the window which is a nice addition when you're waiting for your sushi to be made. After looking at the menu I decided to order a Dragon, Spyder and Godzilla roll. Wait time for my food wasn't to bad and when I received my to go container and saw how beautiful and large the rolls were I was pleased to see that I got my money's worth and excited to get home and try them all. The Dragon roll had tempura shrimp and tempura veggies inside with tuna, spicy mayo and tobiko on top. The Spyder roll had soft shell crab (with the feet sticking out of the roll which was creepy) cucumber, daikon sprouts, mayo, avocado inside and tobiko on top. The Godzilla roll was made with Escolar, cream cheese and jalapeño with mayo, eel and sriracha sauce on top. Each one of these rolls had a unique flavor to them and the fish tasted very fresh. I will definitely be making a few more trips back to the rawdeadfish truck once my sushi craving starts to call again. read more

I think this truck has been inflated with biased reviews. It was honestly the same quality sushi you might find at Fred Meyer but triple the cost. I could barely find a roll that didn't have cream cheese in it. When I asked for one without they still added it. Just weird. They even package it with the cheapest inedible soy sauce. After having sub-par sushi at some brick and mortar establishments, we thought we'd give this place a try. The quality of the rolls was better than expected. The ingredients were the freshest we have ever had. From the crispness of the cucumber, to the subtle notes from the black sesame seeds, my taste-buds were smiling with every bite. We ate in the little shed in the parking lot, next time we will just take it home and to eat. They're the only sushi food truck I know of and they're good! They're located in a location with other food trucks close off one of the freeway exits for Coeur d'Alene. They have a tiny patio in front to either wait or sit and eat. Lots of herbs grown too that they use for their food. Food is good! If you order a lot of sushi, they put it in a pizza box.
