This post is long overdue...every single time I've been here, they have exceeded my expectations with the quality of ingredients they use in both their smoothies and their food! First couple of times I had stopped by for something to drink and had tried both the Earthy Oat float when I was in the mood for something fruitier, and the Peanut Butter Exstasy when I was looking for something more decadent. Would highly recommend both! The next couple times I brought my appetite and tried the Zion Tacos and the breakfast burrito...both were packed with flavor that are out of this world! I got a targeted ad for a peach smoothie made with local peaches and all organic so I was pretty stoked to get like a real milkshake, sadly, they did not put enough peaches in the milkshake and they didn't even hold the blender down long enough. So there was chunks of ice and whole frozen peaches...., it tasted like low quality vanilla ice cream in a cup. If you're going to tell me you're going to put local peaches in there, then put more peaches!... Took 15 minutes... I stopped by to pick up some drinks for my hubby and I to drink while we strolled through Nevada City! I ordered the Yummy Chocolate Hempcicle Smoothie and he ordered the Peanut Butter Extacy Smoothie w/ Chocolate(extra thick.) Hubby and I swapped smoothies since I didn't care for mine, he loved the hemp flavor! OMG I can see why it has extacy in the name, cuz I'm in love! The perfect combination of flavors and consistency! Easily the best smoothie I've ever had!! This small business opened in 2005, formally known as "Planet Juice!" They specialize in both vegetarian and vegan dishes and also serve 100% natural smoothies and organic juices! We'll definitely be back to try some of their entrees! Came by with my beautiful wife and adorable little daughter on 12/18/25. We wanted couple drinks before walking around. Fudenjuce is located on Zion St in Nevada City, CA, right next to The Ham Stand. We ordered our drinks and got our drinks fairly adequate. Kudos to the staff. I got the Yummy Chocolate Hempsicle. Best spot in Nevada City/Grass Valley area! Incredible vegan options (so many options!). I recommend the vegan BLT. The smoothies are FRESH, and you can chose to add protein, bee pollen, etc. Food and drinks always come out fast with excellent service time. This place doesn't look like it will pass the health department. Have you looked in the window? We ordered anyway... the food had no taste. Miso soup? Tastes like nothing. Number 23 coconut milk surprise? Tastes like nothing Also the location smells like plastic is burning. They try to keep things organic but give you plastic utensils and coated food containers. LOL. My mother in law went to pick up 3 veg burgers and a pressed juice for lunch. They made only 1 burger and forgot about the other 2. In total, it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to receive 2 burgers!!! First of all -- these are frozen burger patties we're talking about -- not even homemade veggie burger patties. I cook these same patties at home and can whip up the same thing in less than 10 minutes. This is inexcusable. The first burger is dead cold, and one of the two burgers that they made still somehow ended up cold. And honestly, since I'm here writing a review-- this establishment is dirty and always swarming with flies. You can never sit down and just enjoy a meal without being pestered by flies and hornets. There's been multiple occasions where I've found human hair in my food. After eating at this place and being disappointed numerous times over the last 4 years (this one being the final straw) we're never eating at this place again. read more

Great vegan place in Nevada City! See my receipt. This place has been around for a long time and they continue to put out quality vegan food. They have outdoor seating along with more covered seating up the steps. Parking is mainly on the street (Zion Street). They open at 8am weekdays and a bit later on the weekends. I ordered the mexicana wrap with beans and rice and sour cream...it was HUGE! Enough for 2 people to split. It also comes with a small side salad with carrots and their green goddess house dressing. All fresh and delicious! I also ordered the Strawberry Fields smoothie..so good with frozen bananas and strawberries. I also got an Americano coffee for the ride home. This is a very popular place for locals with somewhat of a "hippie" vibe! Its great to have an all vegan place to enjoy a healthy meal. People are friendly and enjoying the casual atmosphere. What more can be said? This place is THE BEST Vegan and Vegetarian food in the whole county! Omnivores may even like the light and healthy fare this great place offers. I often have a Greek Bowl or Happy Fun Bowl-made Vegan-and maybe a smoothie like the Dairyless Date Shake. Love the staff-what a fun bunch of folks w/the occasional new face here n there. I was excited to try this place based on the reviews and online healthy food menu. However, in person this place is super disappointing. Dirty and grimy are the two words I would use to describe it. Everything looked and felt so dirty I didn't even want to eat there including the tables, water dispenser, order area, utensils, there were flys everywhere. I literally didn't order anything because I was so grossed out, and I can't imagine if the outside is that way how the cleanliness of their food and handling process are like. Plus the wall of menus was way too much and hard to read, it's too overwhelming to look at everything especially when you are hungry. Don't understand why they don't have a normal menu you can hold and look at. Or revise their menu board so it's easier to read. For those reasons I wouldn't not recommend. read more

I stopped to get a smoothie today. It's probably been 20 years since I've been here. No particular reason. Had some time and I'm vegan now decided to find out what my options are here. I got the "Bee My Date." Pineapple coconut juice, frozen banana, organic dates, bee pollen. It didn't taste like pineapple or coconut or banana, but it was heavy on dates. I was surprised how much date chewing I had to do while I was driving to Sacramento. Halfway through I got tired of dates and chewing. Didn't finish it. The people working there were friendly and helpful. Working their asses off as the place was really busy. I do look forward to trying some of the vegan food choices in the future. The smoothies are absolutely delicious and can be tailored in a variety of ways from type of milk to the fruit and protein! The people there are really nice and welcoming. Everything here is fresh, organic, thoughtfully and freshly prepared and delicious. I love the ginger rogers juice, The tempeh tacos, the greek wrap and the moegeritza. But seriously, everything is delish. Sometimes they are busy, at lunch for instance so I order online and pick it up so I dont have to wait very long. Nevermind the shoddy exterier, this is the place to hit if you're even remotely in the area and want a tasty meat-free meal. I stopped by and had their Benevolent Burger and Dairyless Date Shake. The burger, although crazy messy smothered in their house sauce, was one of the best tasting Beyond Burgers I've had in recent memory. And that shake? Yum. Seriously try one if you haven't already. The menu is quite overwhelming so I recommend looking over it beforehand lol but this place is SO good!! Everything is vegan/vegetarian. The burgers were deliciously mouthwatering, and came with a side salad and a super yummy pesto-like dressing. Their juices and smoothies are amazing too. We asked them to surprise us with 2 drinks and they did not disappoint. Friendly service, everything is made fresh to order so it took about 15/20ish minutes for the food to come out but absolutely worth the wait imo. Nice, spacious outdoor seating area. This place could be so good, but it falls short over and over. I come here every few weeks (more often in the summer because their smoothies are great - hence the extra star), mainly for the good, affordable vegan food. Unfortunately it consistently disappoints. Like I said, the smoothies are great but everything else is inconsistent. Like I can't order their tacos anymore because no matter how many times I ask for no cheese, they always come with cheese I have to scrape off the tortillas. Their kitchen usually seems to be overwhelmed but it's small so that's fair. When they introduced online ordering, I was hoping that would cut down on the wait time but to no avail. When I arrived in time for my order today and gave them my name, they said it would be right out, so I moved over to the pickup counter to wait. 20 minutes later, I check back when there's a break at the order window - turns out it's been sitting in the back the whole time. So now I have cold food, wasted time and luckily, a good smoothie. I'd hate to drive down to Jamba but that's looking more and more like a better option. This place rocks my socks! I am so stoked I live close by now. Every time I've passed through the area over the years this has been a must stop for me. Now that I live in Auburn, you bet I'll be coming a few times a week. It's a 30 minute drive but it's worth it. They have always excelled at providing good quality food over the years. But something that has definitely changed for the worse over time is their Jump Start Coffee Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate blended drink. It used to be creamier and smoother with more flavor and one of the standouts they offered, in my opinion. It's now mostly ice and I think they used very little to no vanilla ice cream, but substituted with milk instead. Just a guess, but there was No sweetness to it at all. Ran out of ice cream? New employee making the drinks? Really inferior quality and a disappointment especially when charging the same price. If it costs more to make it, charge more. I'm happy to pay more, but cutting back on ingredients and quality and charging the same price or more is a real let down. read more

Great hippie juice shack. All types of juice blends, smoothies and veggie bowls. I like the beet/apple/ginger/carrot juice or the golden milk smoothie. They have kitchari in the fall. Everything is made to order, so getting your stuff does take a minute. Not a chain juice bar. No scoops of sherbet here. read more
