Very good! I love burgers and western burgers are my top favorite burger. I'm in the area for work and I see nothing but good reviews for this place so I come for lunch. I order around 2/230 and it's taking a while to get my food but it was well worth it! From first bite to finish the western burger was perfect. The beef patty was cooked to a perfect medium, seasoned well, the bacon was smoky and had a nice crisp, the cheese was melty, the bbq sauce was smoky and savory, and the bun was toasted just right! Well worth the wait! The fries weren't shoe strings but not steak fries and right in the middle. They held the best in between soft and fluffy & crispy. The beef taco is where the review gets a four. It was 3.5 dollars and tasted just like the ground beef tacos you can make at home. Not bad but not great either, just fine. It was pretty small too as it was on a traditional small corn tortilla. Stopped by here twice recently, once after dinner for dessert and another time a few days later for lunch. Staff was friendly both times, and the interior of the restaurant was clean and tidy. Our dessert experience was pretty good. The desserts were all delicious. I had to get the dole whip, but also snagged my husbands chocolate milkshake for a taste... or 5. lol Since we enjoyed our desserts, we decided to stop in a few days later for lunch. 3 of us went, one ordered a burger with a normal bun, one gluten free bun, and one with a lettuce wrap. We also ordered cheese curds, fries and onion rings. The overall flavor of the burgers were good, but they were extremely greasy and all of them were falling apart while we ate them, even the one with the normal bun. The fries and onion rings were good. The onion in the onion rings was so thin it was hardly existent but they were fried well and had good flavor. No complaints on the fries, well seasoned and cooked. The cheese curds however were so greasy that we couldn't eat them. It was almost as if the fryer was not hot enough? The bottom of the little bag was completely drenched and they were just swimming in grease. Between the cheese curds and the grease on our burgers we all felt a little off after eating. Based on my experiences, I'd return here for fries and a milkshake (or other dessert) but wouldn't be jumping out of my socks to come here for another meal. read more

What a great turn around from my previous review. The owner Caitie reached out to me, apologized, and explained what had happened. There was indeed different fish than what was usually ordered, etc. I decided to take her up on her offer for a remake of my food as we had been repeat customers for some years. It was a complete 180 from our experience. The fish was fried well, the fries were perfect, and I got tarter sauce. My husband said his burger was 10 times better and that he'd go back again for sure. The restaurant was really busy with what looked like junior prom and customers from the Celtic festival, on top of the normal Saturday evening crowd. We were in Grass Valley today driving around looking for a place to eat lunch and I saw Burger & Cream! I've been to the one in Auburn so we decided to stop in. We got two burgers protein style and they were delicious along with onion rings. I posted the open times and the menu. Someone mentioned that their music was really loud outside but I didn't hear any music outside. It was very clean and I guess Tuesdays they have $1.50 ice cream cones. Unfortunately today is Friday. The food was great as always, but the service this time was disappointing. The cashier taking our order and handing out sauces had a terrible attitude from the moment we walked in. We ordered a family fry, mac and cheese bites, and three burgers around $40 worth of food and were made to feel like an inconvenience. When I asked for five burger sauces, she tried to tell me no. Another person in my party spoke up, saying they'd spent a lot and wanted more sauce too, and suddenly she handed some out so it clearly wasn't a rule issue, just her being rude. We come here every time we're in Grass Valley and have never had a problem getting a reasonable amount of sauce before. Or bad service It's upsetting because we really love this place, but this experience with the cashier (Carly, maybe early 30s, working the lunch shift on 11/12/25) left a bad impression. Reply: yes and as you stated. We were allowed 10 sauce for our order without charge. I asked for only 5 and the person working told me I was limited to 4 which seemed very unreasonable. In total we got 7. We were also just told no instead of you have to pay for more because your employee knows we were allowed 10 but wanted to be rude about 5. We just so happened to stop by at this burger joint on our way to Reno to get a bite to eat and restroom break. We were surprised by the quick service , and quality of food. We had their burgers, fish and chips , patty melt, fries and chicken sandwich. All were tasty, great portions and good quality . My daughter is picky with her fish and chips and she was surprised at how crispy the fish was and loved the t sauce that came with it . It was not soggy at all. My mom loved her chicken sandwich and said the fries here were fantastic . I enjoyed my patty melt , juicy , cheesy and just the right amount of patty to bread ratio . We decided to try this place out on our way to Nevada City for their Victorian Christmas. I'm glad we did! It's a pretty decent burger joint. There's plenty of parking spots. It's pretty clean. I like how they have a sink right before the bathrooms where you can wash your hands and not have to go inside the restrooms. Service is pretty good. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, which is a plus when you're hungry lol. I ordered their fish and chips. I was actually impressed that I finished it. I don't normally do that so it was either that good or I was really hungry. Their onion rings are very good Crispy! Perfect! The only complaint I have is their shakes were too thick. I had to wait a good 30 minutes to even kind of enjoy mine. Other than that we all enjoyed our food. Just popped in for a quick snack to get home. Did a one-word Yelp search for "malt" and B&C came up. Highlighted was a portion of a review that hinted at a great chocolate malt. So, I ordered a large and a large fry. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The dining area had maybe 15 people, some dining, some waiting. I walked up to the counter and gave my order, the person was super chill. I don't remember giving my name, so I was curious how they were going to call out my order and if it would be confused with others waiting. Next I hear, "Dave". I thought, that can't be my order already, but then the server used the PA system, "Dave, large fry." I clarified when I picked up the enormous brown bag, "a chocolate malt, too?", half thinking I was getting someone else's fries. But, no... he replied, "still working on it." I sat and waited, it took less than 10 minutes, but barely. They gave me a fire hose of a straw to drink it with. Seriously, it's the diameter of a boba straw. The fries were thick cut and done perfectly. I couldn't stop eating them. The malt tastes like it was made with ice cream. It's a bit on the sweet side for me, but a creamy taste sensation! We were driving through and noticed an old Foster Freeze is now a Burger & Cream and looked online and found another location closer to our destination and decided to give it a try. We parked and walked a few steps down to the building and noticed some tables outside and a dining area inside. We walked in with only a few patrons and were greeted with a smile as we studied the menu. We tried The New Fashion, The Junior, Corn Dog, and Large Fries.
