If you happen to be visiting High Hill Ranch, (you lucky bastard, you) I'd suggest that you go ahead and follow the crowd; it'll probably lead you to straight to the Fudge Factory. The actual shop itself isn't all the big, but its PACKED from top to bottom with sweet treats. Like the name indicates, they have a HUGE selection of fudges, (some flavors I remember: apple cider, pumpkin pie, praline, and orange sherbet), but they also have other confections like caramel apples (traditional, with nuts, "apple pie apples," white chocolate...), homemade jellies and jams, jarred caramel to take home, monsterously big cookies, ice cream by the scoop, and sooo much more. (One of my fav finds: these little containers of "worms and dirt" for the kids, which were crushed oreos and gummy worms. Cute.) We went with two traditional caramel apples. OH YES. There was about half an inch of caramel on each apple, and they were goooood. We also had an Apple Strudel Sick (the crust was outstanding: buttery and flaky), and a mini Blackberry Tart. NOM. Totally satisfying. Even the coffee was good! (and only $1!) The place usually super packed, but it always is. Be prepared to walk into a full house and to wait a bit to get your goods. Today, they had a whole gaggle of teens helping move the lines along, and gosh bless 'em they were doing their very best. (I asked the young gentleman helping us, "What makes the 'Apple Pie Apple' different than the regular caramel apple?' He said, 'They, ah... have more stuff on them.' Thanks, sweetie. Just hand me my coffee.) Verdict: You HAVE to go. I've been coming to High Hill Ranch since I was just a wee lass, and I can't remember a year where we haven't visited the Fudge Factory. I was here two weeks ago. I really want to love this place. There was a sign at the door asking customers to wear masks. However a family of 5 was walking around the small store without masks. NO employee approached the family to let them know the mask requirement or ask them to leave. We are in a pandemic. If that is a store requirement then adhere to your own policy. If people think it is their "freedom" to walk around without masks then go somewhere else where that is not a requirement. I understand this may put employees in an uncomfortable situation but if you want people to safely visit your store, you need to step up your game to protect us. This is Fudge galore. They also have a variety of caramel apples. In addition you can get Ice cream and frozen apple pies here as well. The price for the Fudge was decent. Luckily I'm not a fan of caramel apples. The price was around $9 bucks for one. I purchased the 6 pack of variety of Fudge but gave it away as a gift. I did get to sample a piece and it was pretty good. I wished I purchased some Fudge for myself but I still have a bunch of chocolate from Sees candy and another Chocolate place from Apple Ridge Farms. Once I am done with my current stash of sweets I will definitely be back to purchase some Fudge. Maybe I'll also treat myself to the ice cream just to check it out. At $5 a cup my friends were not impressed they rather have Gunther's ice cream. I'll have to check it out just to see if they are right. I am really torn in this review. Their fudge is top quality. My family and I come up here at least three times a year for fudge and a Carmel apple sundae. This last trip was less than to be desired for. We waited in line to get in (which I appreciate). When arriving in they had two lines and seemed to be extremely efficient. We ordered our apple sundae and the young girl behind the counter couldn't find the tongs for the cherries. She was asking around and instead of grabbing a spoon she used an ungloved hand and bare hand scooped my cherries into my sundae contaminating my food and the cherries. I said something to another guy working there and they were very sweet and remade it but never replaced the cherry container and fed it to customers after me. This could be harmful during covid times. read more

Their fudge is incredible. I got peanut butter chocolate and rocky road and my brother got a bunch of others including apple pie fudge. They were amazing!! I also spent a measly 4 bucks and got a container of fresh apple slices sliced right in front of me and covered in lots and lots of the most delicious home made warm caramel I've ever had in my life. Everyone was taking bites of mine so I should have bought two. I went nut-less, but they'll throw those on for free too. :-) Outside there's a kids play area that my 2 and a half year old nephew had a blast at. read more

I love the fudge here and try and make a stop every year. Unfortunately I forgot today was distracted as a first time mom with my 4 month old! Conveniently located right next to high hill. Chocolate shop was very nice and clean inside, with some interesting chocolate options. Staff was very friendly. Good prices on everything. this has got to be one of the most dangerous places in all of apple hill! it may be but it's so darn worth a visit each and every time. you can find fudge factory farm at the very end of high hill ranch but they are not part one in the same. both are separate businesses but both are alot of fun. fudge factory has some of the best fudge and candy apple i have ever had. if you find yourself in apple hill you must stock up on as much as you can. beside those you can also find popcorn, truffles, sauces, cotton candy, chocolates of all sorts and so much more. i'm a big fan of the pumpkin fudge and the chocolate-peanut butter fudge. as for the candy apples i really like the apple pie, peanut butter cup and toffee. you need to get in and out or you may just find yourself wanting everything in this shop. read more

What a great place to visit during the holidays! I went here, because someone mentioned to me that there might be a pumpkin patch. Unfortunately there are no pumpkins here. But there are many other great things here to do and buy. There's a pony ride, a tractor tour of the farm, fishing, sand art, tons of apple.orchards, Christmas tree farm, and many booths selling trinkets and other things. I think one of my favorite parts about this place is the actual Fudge Factory storefront. The freshly cut and freshly drizzled customizeable caramel apples were very yummy and a must have at thus place! In the same shop, you can get frozen pies. I bought a sour cream and blackberry crumble, which was sooo delicious after I baked it. It's probably one of the best crumbles I've ever had in my life. Honestly we didn't know until this week that Fudge Factory was its own entity from High Hill! Its so nice to have a two in one! Its a very small little shop with some surrounding craft booths. Their fudge is good but MAN is it pricey. Also their caramel is more expensive than High Hill. I do wish they had more selection of chocolates, most of them were $1.75 each. And honestly not a lot of fudge flavors. They do have some home made sauces, jams and jellies that we like. And it looked liked some baked goods too. We came on a monday so they probably werent as stocked as they are on weekends. They also have a better selection of caramel apples that aren't just plain or nuts but have actual toppings like Oreo or m&m. We always walk over since we are already at High Hill. read more

Just in case you're not getting enough sweet stuff on your Apple Hill run (which is probably impossible), at least grab some fudge to go here to go. Put it in the fridge and once you've blown through all the apple sweets, you'll have some excellent finger-licking-good fudge. There are tons of varieties of fudge here, but personally I like the classic: dark chocolate walnut. You really can't go wrong with any of them though. And might I add that they will wrap them up nice and pretty if you have a special someone in need of a gift (or perhaps a gift for yourself just because it's a Friday, I don't judge). They also have other delectable candified goodness like chocolate and caramel-dipped apples. It's a must-visit on the Apple Hill run. Your first thought upon entering is that you now know what heaven smells like. The caramel here is so incredibly delicious you will be tempted to fill a pool and swim in its yummy goodness while simultaneously eating it with a spoon. Caramel apples come in an array of flavors and topping but I prefer a basic caramel or wedge style. (slices in caramel in a bowl). YUM. Fudge, divinity, truffles, taffy, ice cream, chocolate covered pretzels-cherries-marshmallows..., This is an adorable shop that can be PACKED on a busy weekend but very pleasant mid week. Blatant Racial Discrimination: Yesterday I can here with my family. My brother (who is white) purchased about $30 worth of chocolate without an issue. He swiped his card and the transaction was complete. I (a black women) was next in line and went to purchase $6.00 worth of chocolate, I presented my debit card was asked to show my ID, the the guy took over a minute examining my ID, then he has me enter my PIN number for my debit card. Fudge Factory has a little bit of everything. Gummy candy, caramel apples, chocolates, hard candy, and of course fudge are just a few of their large variety of goodies. I came looking to sample a couple chocolates, fudge, and a caramel apple. I was surprised at how expensive the fudge was. $3 for a small square. I decided that was a smidge too rich for me, so I passed on the fudge. What I did try was a caramel apple with nuts and some sour gummy candy. Both were fantastic. The apple had a nice thick layer of caramel over a delicious granny smith apple. They have some really cool flavors of caramel apples too. Cheesecake, white chocolate, and gummy candy were the ones the stood out to me. The caramel apple was $5, which is a bit cheaper than High Hill's apple. I preferred High Hill's apple though. Fudge Factory in just down the road from High Hill. Past the pond and picnic tables. Parking is shared with them, but there is plenty of it. High Hill is one of the busiest stands in Apple Hill, so prepare for crowds. I highly recommend you check this place out. If you're looking for something more than just apples, then take a small trek up the hill past the pond to Fudge Factory Farm. You'll be delighted to fine, fudge, peanut butter cups, ice cream, and yes, even some apples painted over with caramel and fudge, of course. My daughter is dairy intolerant so finding ear rings, of all things, made her day when she ventured to the corner. :) There was also a selection of gummy candy which she passed on but my son grabbed some with delight. I couldn't resist the bright, red, shiney red vines and boy were they good! My two other kids had some ice cream which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had some chocolate fudge which was just above average. The peanut butter cups were tasty as well. All in all, a nice little store that breaks from the Hills usual array of apples. It's a decent spot to visit that sells organic apples and loads of fudge, truffles and sweets! It may be difficult to find a parking spot during the Fall peak season as the area attracts hoards of people. The candy selection here is expansive but they are steeply priced. Higher prices aren't a surprise for the area though as it's an attraction of sorts and full of a lot of novelty shops. I'd personally save my money to buy gourmet fudge elsewhere but the Fuji apples are good and worth the price. The shop is also cute to just browse around in. 3.5 stars read more

This is a cute little place, in the back of Larsen's at Apple Hill. They have free samples of fudge (amazing!) and a bear out front that chocolate lovers will want a photo with. It's a little pricey, but that's to be expected at a speciality chocolate ship I guess. We got two little treats and eat had half, and they were just delicious. I guess it's not that hard to win with chocolate. The place was also pretty tiny. It was a weekday on Apple Hill, so you'd think it wouldn't be that busy, but there wasn't that much room to maneuver, and that was before the school group starting coming in and we escaped. It also took forever for them to serve us, even though all we wanted were two of the little truffles. Slooooow! But worth the wait. read more

Fudge is not for Asians. It's typically too sweet and all we really want to eat for dessert is fruit anyway. BUT out of all the fudges I've tried, this place has one of the best. The pieces don't leave that grainy feeling in your mouth and don't crumble upon separation. Here, it's completely smooth. I'm also impressed with the variety. I tried a simple piece of peanut butter fudge and really liked it! Just the sample piece was enough for me. I could probably survive on a regular size piece for a couple days. It's a really pretty location. We went here when it was snowing and there were tons of people here having fun. The lines were way too long to grab any apple cider or apple doughnuts, but I don't think it's usually too busy. It was just crazy because it was snowing and barely any places were open. This is my favorite place to go in Apple Hill! Amazing treats - I love the apple hand pies and all of the fudge. Counter service is great, even when they are busy.
