Flannery Exchange - Private Party Setup

Flannery Exchange is not a restaurant, and it shouldn't be approached like one. Yes, there are…read moreplaces to eat, but that's not the point. It's a layered, multi-use space made up of small shops, boutiques, home décor, and curated goods that invite you to wander rather than rush. What makes it stand out, at least for me, is that it feels intentionally designed for the way people actually live and work now. As someone who is constantly looking for places where I can sit down with my laptop and get real work done while in transit, this checks a very specific box. Not just "can I sit here," but can I actually stay, focus, and be productive without feeling out of place. That's rare. They've gone a step further by building out proper workspaces and collaborating with Regus, which gives it a level of legitimacy beyond the typical café-with-WiFi setup. It feels like a place that understands the digital nomad mindset rather than just catering to it on the surface. Then there's the rooftop. Fully serviced, flexible, and surprisingly elevated for Palm Springs. This isn't a city known for vertical spaces, so being up there, looking out while still feeling connected to what's happening below, creates a perspective you don't really get elsewhere in town. It manages to feel both removed and right in the middle of everything at the same time. For Palm Springs, it's genuinely one of a kind.

Privately owned and what appears to still have a home property onsite, Moorten Botanical features over 3,000 species of cacti. Another unique component is the rare Cactarium which is a greenhouse featuring cactus and succulents. Admission is $7 cash or card and there is always staff available to greet guests. A paper map is provided post payment to help navigate the grounds. I recommend sunscreen as a majority of the viewing takes place outside and the sun tends to beat down. Onsite there are a variety of large tortoises in specialty spots enjoying their environment. At the end of the garden, there is a nursery where plants can be purchased along with gardening trinkets. For the value, this is one to not miss! I've been coming here for years since I was a little girl and I enjoy the fact that Moorten sticks to their roots and have kept the layout the same allowing me to feel nostalgia each time I visit. Thank you!!!

Loved spotting giant Agaves, Prickly Pears with pretty purple flowers, & the globe-shaped Golden Barrels. Succulents, ceramic pots, & figurines are for sale at the end of the self-guided walk. I noticed a few birds singing happily in their enclosure. Benches are available when a break from the afternoon heat becomes necessary. A slow & serene stop in Palm Springs.

We only stayed for one night but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in instructions were sent via email and there's a code to unlock the room. The grounds are very pretty, perfect for a desert wedding or party. There are great views all around and there aren't any neighbors nearby. It looks like they own a lot of acreage nearby. The room we stayed in was the Onyx room. It was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. There are lots of nice additions in the room to ensure you enjoy staying in from wine glasses, a wine fridge, record player with a record collection, bath salts, star gazing area outside with a mattress, and comfy robes and slippers to use during your stay. If it were warmer, I definitely would've tried out the outdoor tub and shower but it was too cold at night to even think about it. There's also a large community pool in the works. As mentioned earlier, this hotel is about a mile from the NP so it's an excellent choice for anyone going there. It's also not too far from town so you're not too far from stores and cafes. I am definitely planning on staying here again!

There's only two rooms but each are beautifully decorated w so much attention to detail! Both have their own private outdoor area that is huge. The outdoor area have their own shower and tub which has a window that you can open to view the sunset. There's also a queen size bed outside for stargazing or tanning. Don't worry there is an indoor bathroom as well with an amazing shower. Everything was so well thought out! Each room has a fridge that is stocked up with large bottles of water, k cups, teas, creamers and sugar. They give you plenty of towels. There's also bath salts to use for when you enjoy the outdoor tub. They make sure the check in process is smooth and easy. There's also housekeeping available (free only if you stay 3 nights or more). There is a beautiful common outdoor area with a fire pit, swings and seating. There is also a common area with a large living room that has a microwave. I can't stop singing praises about this place! Sacred Sands absolutely rocked it!

All of our guests loved the grounds, they are really the perfect setting for the weekend. Thies and Brandon, the property managers, are very cool dudes and were just super easy to work with. Cathedral City has some pretty rigid rules, but Thies told us how to set up our speakers to be loud enough for a good time without breaking any city ordinances. During our stay there, we used pretty much all of the grounds throughout the weekend. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and the dinner/reception were all held in different areas. Some of our friends played tennis in the morning, and we used the big pool and hot tub as well. The smaller pool was pretty cold as we were there in March, but heating the big pool was definitely worth it for our Saturday, post-wedding pool party. We did not have any issues with the plumbing, it was great having our friends stay with us for the weekend, and again, Thies and Brandon were excellent to work with. Highly recommend this place if you want to make your wedding a weekend affair to remember. Hopefully we can book this for our 10 and 20 year anniversaries. Thanks again.

Cree Estate is tucked away a little outside of Palm Springs in a property that boasts in lush trees and greenery. If I was blindfolded and brought here, I would think I was in Costa Rica or some other tropical destination. The wedding party got to enjoy a few nights' stay in the houses of this property while the guests stayed at nearby hotels. The houses are charming with rustic furniture and comfy beds. We loved the main pool with all the inter-tubes; just what the doctor ordered the day after the wedding! The bride & groom brought in a dj, bartender and catering service they knew. I guess they had Soho Tacos catering the night of the wedding, which I love! Wish I had known. It would have probably helped me out the next morning!

Nestled close enough to downtown to be walkable yet in a quiet area that feels miles away, Amin Casa is the best of the best when it comes to boutique hotels. We travel often and ever since that first stay we have compared every resort, every hotel, every Airbnb to Amin Casa. None measure up...which is why we now look forward to returning to Palm Springs and Amin Casa each year! Nelson, the owner, is super friendly, personally welcoming each guest when they arrive to provide a tour of the property and of their well-appointed bungalow. He'll share historic tidbits about the home (which used to be Gloria Swanson's vacation property) as well as the history behind each bungalow, which have all been beautifully and thoughtfully restored. We were fortunate during our first visit to meet his partner, Ramon, and hear more about their life beyond Amin Casa. They are both just genuinely wonderful people. The property itself is absolutely stunning. It somehow manages to be both modern, yet a complete throwback to the 1940s. The grounds are immaculately maintained by Kelvin. His wife, Yajira, along with the amazing Devine, ensure your bungalow has everything you need for a perfect stay. The staff is small and loyal - another sign of the incredible owners - and it is a joy learning about them and their families. The best part of this "hotel" is its size. With only 8-ish bungalows, it feels quite exclusive. You see the same guests around the pool each day, and it's fun getting to know your "neighbors" and hearing about their experiences with the attractions and restaurants in and around Palm Springs.
