We saw FLOP, a terrific dinner show performing the good, or hilarious, songs from Broadway plays that flopped. The food was creative and excellent. The performance a total hit. My wife and I concluded that they are not charging enough for such an excellent evening of dining and entertainment. Catch it before the tickets shoot up to where they should be. The theme was movie night, and the first course salad was served alongside a theatre popcorn box with buttery popcorn in place of croutons. Delightful! After great musical numbers, a movie clip from Forest Gump was played, "There's shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo...: The audience knew the next course, "Shrimp!" Well, very good shrimp bisque. The rest of the dinner and show followed with delicious food, wonderful singers, and free-flowing booze. PS Underground was definitely a fun and unique experience. I've heard people rave about the dinner and shows for years that I finally got to tag along with some couples for an entertaining night. First off I love how organized the whole setup is. Makes it easy to get in and out without much thought. You wait in line outside and they let you in right at 7pm. No sooner no later. While it doesn't benefit you to get there super early since the seating is assigned, I would still recommend getting there at least 15 minute early so you could be at least towards the front of the line. Why this matters is so that when you get to your assigned seating/table, you can at least get the best seats at the table. For instance, every table will have seats where your back is slightly turned to the stage. If you don't mind twisting and turning yourself around/moving your seat at each part of the performance then no biggie. But for us it was nice to be a little early so that once we got our assigned table we could at least be in the chairs best suited for looking directly at the stage. We loved the open table guest concept which allows you to sit with other strangers (hopefully that will become friends) so you can mingle and get to know others. This helps if your coming alone or in a smaller group as likely you'll get to meet some really neat people. If your a big enough party it looks that you'd likely get a table for your party alone. The underground shows vary and there seems to be new themes and shows throughout the year. Some I've heard are repeats if they are popular enough but overall they seem to do a good job of coming up with new acts and entertainment. We found the performers to be excellent and the pace was nice between songs and meals. The food was delicious. Alcohol comes as a part of the package of your ticket. Plenty of cocktails and wine flowing. Their cocktail special of each nice is unique and the orange spritz like cocktail we had was refreshing. Back to the food. Again, we'll paced and everything came out cooked to perfection. The meal developed a salad, soup, main chicken dish, and dessert. We were all really impressed with the food and variety. The owners seem really passionate about what they do and work hard to make it a fun experience for all. I'm happy I got to be apart of the PS Underground finally and look forward to attending more shows in the future. Pro Tip: Parking is limited! So I guess that's another benefit of getting here a little early. The parking lot is small and we found the later people came they had to park way down the road for street parking which wasn't well lit. Another thing to think about but again, just a tip, my experience way outweighed all of these little things. I just know I come to Yelp sometimes for the little additional tips and feedback so I hope it's helpful. read more

Palm Springs under ground is a great venue, excellent service. The only recommendation I would suggest is they need to complete the menu with bread service, the dinner seems uncompleted without it. I have been there many times, love it!!! read more

We arrived with another couple, and one of the owners greeted us warmly. We were sat at a table for 10, right up front, joined by another foursome and a couple. The table was well appointed and theatrically lit We got a nice price as part of PS Restaurant Week. The dinner was served in 3 courses, replete with a signature cocktail and/or wines of your choice. The chef is the other co-owner and both got on stage to describe the meal, and their have various themes, this evening was Broadway themed. A very nice evening, food, venue and talent included. The Velvet Martini dinner experience was so special and amazing. I went with my mom, I'm 33 and she's 72, and we both were blown away with musical performance and 4-course dinner. The service was amazing and there was an endless flow of wine, which was fantastic last night (hehe not this morning). We just enjoyed Broadway Blockbuster. We did not know what to expect. All we can say is WOW! The service is impeccable. The show was flawless and much fun. Dinner was very good. The warm radish soup was one of the best starters I've ever had. It was just rich and creamy enough to be delicious and the radishes were crisp and light on top, smooth on the bottom. The sous vide chicken is genius. The sauce was just light enough. The chicken was butter tender. The salad was slightly acidic and light. What a nice refreshing compliment to the chicken. Dessert was spot on. We had an olive oil cake with fresh berries and whipped ricotta. The drinks never stopped coming. We were particularly surprised with the talent! The pianist and the singers were so talented. We come to Palm Springs a few time each year and we will always come back to PS Underground. What fun. read more

Simply outstanding. What an absolute delight. While walking over to get our morning Koffi, when we glanced through the window and saw a sign on another door "PS Underground." Out of curiosity, we googled it and found their website. Out of pure luck, they had a table available for two for brunch within hours. We booked it not knowing what to expect and cancelled our reservations at another restaurant... We were welcomed like long term friends into this magical experience. How to describe it? A traveling underground super club featuring multi-course gourmet meals along with world class entertainment. I have had the pleasure of attending several of these events, each unique and full of surprises. I have never left an event without making several new friends. The secret menu is created by Chef David, and he delights the guests with a full rundown course by course as the event progresses. Then there is the entertainment. With local talent like Keisha D, Siobhan Velarde, Francesca Amari, and Gilmore Rizzo to name a few, I am always amazed at the quality of these events. We went to PS Underground in Palm Springs for one of the music & dinner shows. Most recently we went to the Woodstock show. The dinner menu was a creative nod to the era of Woodstock, and was quite delicious. The music was performed by a local Palm Springs band, The Gand Band. This band is led by the husband and wife team of Joan and Gary Gand and featured outstanding musicians, including 2 singers that adapted their characters to cover Sly Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Grace Slick, Janice Joplin and more. The production, performance and execution was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and plan to attend future musical dinner events at PS Underground featuring the Gand Band. I would recommend this for both locals and visitors. read more

Had a fun evening at the 80s night dinner. We dressed up in our best day glow and flash dance wear for the evening of good food and music. Rock Lobster salad Chariots of Fire Roasted Vegetable Soup Red Red Wine braised short ribs Awesome bad singing favorite 80s tunes. The vocalists were great. Doors open at 7, don't come early Menu is unknown but they ask all sorts of questions when you make the reservation. That part went wrong for us, so even though we took time to answer the questions, they didn't have a record of it. They accommodated us, but it made for a few awkward moments. PS Underground has gone downhill. I attended a private party there 4-5 years ago, and it was fresh, avant garde, and felt like a secret that we'd stumbled upon. A month ago, I attended another private event, and everything from the space to the performances to the food feels much more pedestrian. You get the sense that ownership is really in it for the bottom line now. No wonder their best performers are leaving for greener pastures. It's a shame because it used to be really fun. read more

My girlfriends attended the Valentine's Day show on 2/14/2002. Everything was top notch- communication prior to the show was prompt, our host accommodated our delayed friend (stored her luggage), our table guests were so fun, the food was fantastic (most surprised by this- I'm a foodie- I was very pleased). The show performers were talented and funny. The space is intimate so the MC was able to get interactive with the guests. We sat around the fire after and the owners and show actors joined us- such nice people. I highly recommend supporting them and attending this show. We'll be back for sure. read more

I went here with three other friends for a Galentine's Day. The show was amazing and the food was 5 star. I have traveled all over and this was one of the best meals I have had. I'm so glad I gave PS Underground another chance. I did the Cavern Club British Invasion night a couple of years ago. The food was great, but the show was lame. I was never going to return. This time around - November 26, 2021 - all food and alcohol/beverages were included with the show. The food was absolutely delicious. The band was incredible!! Every single member sang songs that brought me way back (showing my age!) to my youth. The owner and staff were dancing - we were dancing - what a wonderful vibe! I am not sure there are enough characters allowed on Yelp (or that you would read them all) to express my undying gratitude to Michael at PS Underground. We had our son's rehearsal dinner at a venue in Palm Springs and had Michael at PSU cater it. First, planning a long distance event (first child to get married) in a place you have never been to is a high pressure proposition. From the beginning Michael was attentive to every detail and extremely patient in waiting for decisions to be made. He put together a unique (not weird unique, awesome unique) menu that reflected his creativity and expertise and our tastes. In the weeks leading up to the event, Michael made sure every detail was in place. He coordinated all the rentals (which didn't look like rentals at all!) and even created stunning center pieces for the tables. He carefully watched the weather and reached out to me to recommend that we have heaters to make sure that our guests would be perfectly comfortable. The night of the event (the first time I actually met him) we hugged like old friends! The event was flawless. The food was beautifully presented and decadently delicious. His staff was cheerful and attentive. HONESTLY, we were sad to have the night come to an end. If you want to have an event with the most exquisite food, the most diligent caterer, and attentive staff PS Undergound is a must. My husband must have said 20 times that weekend "Michael and his staff absolutely killed it!" That's about the best compliment a guy gives. Michael, you have given me an incredible gift.
