Came here with a party of 6, none of us enjoyed the food. The rolls had too much cucumber and were so lathered with sauces that it completely obliterated the flavor of the fish. Maybe that's a good thing?!?! Sushi rice was fine. I ordered the $40 hibachi trio, serving up plastic chicken, rubber beef, shrimp, noodles and fried rice. Ordered my beef medium rare, came out well done. Chicken was super dry and flavorless. Shrimp was well flavored, but not fresh, with a hint of old seafood stench. Noodles were unremarkable while the fried rice was nothing more than soy sauce rice. No eggs or green onions (essential parts of an authentic fried rice). For $12, you can go to Panda Express for a much better meal. Service was adequate. Our server came to check on us once during our meal, then again at the end of our meal. read more

The best part about this place was the sushi roll we had. The shrimp was a little too fishy. I was not given an option to view my receipt before paying and after I paid I received my receipt which was ridiculous to me. There was a 3% surcharge already applied and a large party fee (18%) which was $20.56. Crazy thing was that this "large" party was my bf and I and our toddler who did not eat a thing. The appetizer were better than the meal. Was not impressed with the hibachi style dishes. We order three plates of sashimi, it came with some pre sauce on it, which no one at the table liked. We didn't not like the 12 hour tuna, it was salty and tasted cooked. Like ceviche style. The cocktails drinks were very good. Poor waitress had a busy night, I felt like I was bugging too much because we were asking for missing items in our order. I'm such the kitchen was back up. Service is the worst! The girls just hangout and talk most of the time. We were sitting for over 20 minutes before they even gave us a menu or took drink orders. Never brought refills. And it wasn't even that busy for them to take so long! Food was ok. Sushi was the only thing we liked. Sucks they don't have kids meals or portions. And the Hibachi sucked! No flavor! It's an ideal place for lunch with friends if you want good service and food. Bertha always checks in with me although I get the same thing. The NY steak with fried rice. I ask for it spicy as well. The spicy garlic edamame actually tastes like nothing and the sushi was pretty much all full of cucumber with the tiniest piece of shrimp. We were able to dine in for dinner in their patio area with our small dog (he was in a dog stroller). Staff was nice and professional, and checked on us often. We ordered sushi items only. The sushi menu didn't offer a wide variety as we are accustomed to, so if you're looking for a lot of varieties of fish, this isn't the establishment for that. But, the rolls and sashimi were decent. I think the best item was the sashimi trio appetizer plus a side of rice. I tried to order sushi rice (seasoned rice) but the waiter didn't know what that was or if they even offer it. Oh well, no biggie. Overall: Decent spot located in downtown Riverside. Patio dining area was nice. Service made the experience even better. Food was a 7.5/10.
