My family visited this place when it first opened and they said that it was pretty quiet and not a lot of people in the restaurant. I thought to myself "yeah mom because it's probably dirty and the food is probably all fried with a bunch of crazy sauces." So when my parents suggested I go with them this past weekend to try it, I wanted to go in with an open mind. An open mind was not needed after walking into the place. The first thing you see is modern decor and warm colors. You are greeted by a friendly face where you pay before eating. A hostess asked us where we wanted to sit (nice gesture). Our table was clean and the atmosphere of the place was great. Very modern, warm and clean. There are big TVs on either side which make it nice to watch some news or sports. There is so much food and so much variety that I didn't know where to begin. I saw sushi, hibachi , coconut shrimp, soups, ice creams, broccoli salad, lo mein and the list goes on and on. I wanted everything. I knew I needed to be strategic of what I got so I just got a little of everything that looked good. Oh the mussels, yes they looked good. We usually go to Kumo, and I'm sure we will continue to go there too but this place is pretty awesome and for the price you can't beat it. The service here and the food quality has gone downhill for a few years now. There is a waitress who works here who starts cursing in mandarin when someone doesn't leave a tip. Not all the waitresses are bad though, the younger ones are way nicer than the older ones. Let's talk about the quality of the food here. When you catch them fresh, the food is amazingly good. But majority of the time the food is either too soggy or sat under the lamps for too long and lost all moisture. And on really bad days, some food might have been sitting for too long or recycled from the day before. The reason I suspect so is because my friend and I love seafood I'm more cautious and steer from their sushi, crab, & prawns. My friend unfortunately did not and got food poisoning. He still has the runs today but his fever broke yesterday and he also stopped vomiting. I got an upset stomach but that was all. I believe these Asian buffets don't throw their food out every few hours to avoid cross contamination and germinating of food items especially seafood. I hope they do better. read more

Im not sure ill be going here anymore. The service was terrible. And all they do is clear your plates. But, they asked us about our plates every 5 minutes. We felt rushed to leave and as soon as we got up to leave the lady literally yelled after us asking if we were gonna tip. Tipping is OPTIONAL. And as someone who used to live off tips as a waitress, i dont tip people who just clear my plates. And as soon as you yell at me to tip you....you definitely arent getting one. Again at Fuji in Parma when we were leaving my fiancee was asked for a tip at the table. She's done that before. My friend took us out and paid the tip on his credit card so when my fiancee was by himself she tried hitting him up for a tip, and he paid her without knowing the scam. He told her tonight it wasn't his responsibility for that table (it wasn't even our table). My other friend said that happened to them that they singled out his wife's girlfriend for a tip last Fall. I was in the area again on real estate-related business and decided to stop by for lunch on a Saturday for $8.99 before 3 p.m. I'm 1/4th Chinese and I *still* think this place is amazing. This place comes close to Chopsticks in Clearwater, Florida. 1. Selection and quality are high. 2. Ladles and serving utensils are clean. 3. Their ice cream is quality ice cream. 4. Pineapple in the dessert area is sweet not sour. 5. Women's restroom is clean. 6. Ample clean seating 7. Sushi selection is good 8. Customer service is excellent from the entrance to the table. I eat ketogenic but this place is where I head on my Cheat Day. They make it worth it. They have a huge pot of white rice in the rice cooker. I usually use one of the soup bowls to put white rice in. They make it convenient. This restaurant makes it worth it. Fresh vegetables included. They also offer American food like pizza. Doesn't look like much from the outside and that is because it isn't. The workers were seen cooking the food without gloves and handling the raw vegetables without gloves. The food was also bland for a price of $17 it is really not worth the visit. Skip this and go to chipotle for $8. Finally, the fruit is the only thing edible. read more

Not only are there hundreds of tables and 10 buffet lines, there are hundreds of people eating! Now, I go into a buffet with an extremely low bar for quality. When you pay under $15 and can eat enough food to make you comatose, something's gotta give....and that's typically food quality or service....or both. A few things to warn you about off the rip. Their dishwasher needs to be fired. Like right now. I must've gone through 10 plates to find one that wasn't covered in oil. I like slip and slides....but not at a buffet. Second, their bathroom was undeniably one of the dirtiest I have seen in recent years. The smell in there reminded me of the geriatric ward of a nursing home. I must say this place has a rather nice aesthetic. Modern and updated and definitely not your typical Asian-style buffet. Setup more like cafeteria in the table aspect for sure, but the buffet area was well lit, well stocked and generally clean. I can tell they took some effort into food presentation and everything I tried was cooked properly, warm and had good flavor at its best and mediocre at its worst. The sushi here was the mediocre portion. Rice was hard and the ingredients were just ok. They had a huge selection of sushi and some of the raw fish had a horrible coloring to it. The hibachi grill had minimal selections and what I got wasn't cooked very well. Veggies were hard and the flavor was meh. I enjoyed the green beans, teriyaki chicken, chicken on a stick, mei-fun noodles and their fresh fruit was very sweet and very fresh. I made my rounds by rotating those selections. I don't do bread, so that cut out pretty much everything else. Their ice cream station was messy. Since it is self serve, all the flavors were mixed into one another. The service here was very good. They were attentive in removing plates and also refills. Not the friendliest bunch, but I have yet to experience a cheerful wait staff at any buffet....much less an Asian buffet. The saddest place I have ever been! As you arrive you have to pay before you eat and can't move into the restaurant any further before doing so. (Not exactly unheard of with buffets but inconvenient when you're waiting for all of your party members to arrive) For example, if you met your family for a birthday dinner and you arrived after them, you would have to pay separately to even get in! A sign should be posted before you enter that "all members of the party need to be present before entering"! On top of that everything was incredibly cheap quality and filthy! You pay high prices to drink from broken cups and eat from rusty forks! The staff is incredibly rude as they slam your drinks down on the table that it spills all over! The lights were barely even working yet alone hardly visible to see anything you were eating. They supposedly sell fresh food from multiple cultures however the food looks like it has been sitting on the serving counters for weeks on end! A lot of the food looked raw or burned; not worth getting food poisoning to find out for sure. Flies were everywhere and there was human feces all over the bathroom walls! Yes, over the bathroom the walls! I reported this to the manager who didn't even looked surprised at this fact. The manager went to check and rudely said, "Sorry, but we won't refund you!" I rate Chinese buffets on curve. If you want fine, unique dining, don't go to a Chinese buffet. But if you want a lot of different Americanized Chinese food, this place has it. I went during the peak lunch rush and was pretty underwhelmed. The good: lots of options including some American foods, large salad bar and quite a few desserts. This buffet was one of the larger one's I've visited in a while. The food was pretty good but.... The Bad: everything was surprisingly cool, even by buffet standards. This is to be somewhat expected during non-peak hours but I even tried a freshly topped off honey chicken and it wasn't even hot. In short, it's a 5 star Chinese buffet with a 1 star temperature. I feel like this could be easily corrected and would certainly consider going back. The high note for me was the hit&sour soup. FUJI's is Back !! With almost all of the pre-Pandemic foods now included in the buffet, Fuji's is again an excellent dining experience. The food is high quality, deliciously prepared, and fresh. The variety....entrees, salad, sides, deserts, sushi has something for everyone's taste. Hands down one of the best Asian buffets in the area. Everything from price to the food options were quality. For less than $20 you can eat as much sushi, hibachi, a-la cart, etc. as you want! Came in here on Nee Years Day and it was packed with people. It didn't take long for us to be seated. The food was constantly brought in fresh and the waiting staff did a good job at cleaning off used plates from the table. Fuji offers a variety of cuisines, from Japanese to Chinese to American. I love the variety of foods because they are able to accommodate all guests, especially when you have a large party! We recently went for an extended family lunch and with around 20 people, we called ahead for tables and they were able to place us in the party room for some privacy. The food was pretty decent! Meh. I have tried both Kumo across the street and this place. Personally, I recommend Kumo. Here is my personal breakdown :) Atmosphere: equal - both have an atmosphere that you would expect from a Chinese buffet. I would call it stripped down and modern. Service: Kumo - The servers at Fuji obviously hate their life. They definitely didn't want to be there. The guy at the front was pretty rude also. Sushi: Kumo - more variety, better flavor, fresher taste Sashimi: Fuji - if you only like sashimi go to Fuji! The sashimi here is definitely worth the entrance fee, I absolutely loved it!! "American" food - Fuji has a nice selection. If you're going with your kids or your grandma or just some little nut who doesn't like sushi, Fuji has a better selection of American choices. They had pizza, chicken fingers, fries and a few other options that Kumo does not. Beverages - Kumo - they have beer and wine, Fuji did not have any alcohol to my knowledge. When we first moved to the area, my husband and I began looking around at all the dining options near us. We were excited to find what we thought would be a great buffet, based off of reviews. To be honest, this was one of the worst dining experiences either of us have had to date. To start, the service was extremely rude and barely present. We are huge fans of Asian cuisine, and we also like many American-Asian style dishes, and have had quite the variety across the US and internationally (including China, in my husband's case). Now, we weren't expecting fine dining from a buffet; they're usually like a Denny's-reliable and decent when you really want it. The food at Fuji though fell far short. First, the bits I grabbed from various noodle and vegetable dishes tasted like they were cooked in dirty water. There was some sort of a grit to all of them. The flavor was not good, either. My husband went to the pho spot at the back and was not impressed with what he saw. Besides the pho itself, the young man attending the station was more concerned with his phone and was rude to my husband. FYI-While they say they can make you a vegetarian pho, it really isn't. They were cooking meat and seafood all in the same water as the vegetarian bowls. He's not a vegetarian, but if you are, BEWARE. Also beware if you are allergic to seafood or can't eat pork! My husband with the iron stomach will eat anything; but he wouldn't eat the pho. He said it tasted like mop water. It smelled pretty awful too, to be honest. This was the very first time I've ever left a restaurant and not only did not leave a tip, but also left with lots of food on my plate. It was truly a horrible dining experience. Came in on New Years day at 5pm. The place was busy. The amount of variety in food options is impressive here. Though the quality of the food is inconsistent. Basically anything that is fried and fresh out of the fryer was awesome. The chicken Asian dishes were awesome. Did not try anything with pork or beef. The salad/veggies area was such a mess it wasn't worth trying. The rice in the giant rice pot was dry and kinda scary that anyone who wants some has to reach deep down into to it with the rice paddle. Like I was concerned about how sanitary that actually is, especially during cold and flu season. The sushi was TERRIBLE and so were the guys serving it. One of the sushi chefs was just leaning back on his elbow picking at his teeth. When I asked him what the selection was (cause nothing was labeled) he couldn't even be bother to stand up. He just kept leaning and said "Everything" and I was confused and asked again, "What roll is this?" And he said "everything. For all the other rolls, he said the same thing, that they were "everything." I'll tell you what though, the rolls were not everything, they were nothing! They were literal garbage. It was obvious that all of the rolls had been sitting out for a long time. Like the fish in the rolls look dry and the the rolls looked soggy (weird). They needed to be thrown out and remade. So I decided to go for the Nigiri. When I when to put it on my plate the tuna fell off and I thank God it did. When I used my hand to place it back on the rice, the tuna was literally so dry it was like rubber. Like I flopped it back in forth and it didn't break. I even smacked my cousin with it. Nothing. I was so scared of getting sick from it I threw it out immediately and went to wash my hands. The whole sushi bar needs to be inspected by the food board. I'm sure people who don't know sushi all that well have gotten sick from it. The ice cream was fine a bit freezer burned. And the dessert bar was fine if you like cakes and pudding its great. I have been here 2x. This place was good considering the price point. The only thing to compare in the Cleveland is Kumo. And considering Kumo is 5 or 6$ more than this place is a no brainer. Sushi was decent, just as good as Kumo, maybe even better. I did ask them to make me something and they did not. The oyster s were good and pleantiful, however could have been cleaned better. Shashimi was always filled, and their sushi was not playing the game of let's rice these rolls up so you have to pick it off. Typical Chinese, Americanized Chinese, fresh and not to greasey. My only gripe is they could have more seafood dishes. The hibachi and pho stations impressed. The night we went the pho broth was really good, like stupid good. The hibachi was prepared really well. I got my shellfish buzz from that station. Flavorful and not drenched in oil. I really see no reason to go to Kumo, beg for sashimi, oysters, and fight over cold snow crab, when I can get the same or better right across the street for 35% less yuan. read more

Highlight of Fuji grill is that it has plenty of food at a very reasonable price! They have a seafood section, sushi, habachi grill, variety of chicken and beef, soup counter, dessert, salad counter and other regular traditional Asian buffet food items. Both the times, they have clams, mussels, seafood salad with crab and shrimp on it, shrimp, stuffed salmon, white fish and a couple of other items that dint make much of an impression that I remember. I loved each of the seafood items that I just listed. On my second visit, I did three rounds of just the seafood! :) No fried business here on the seafood items; except for the coconut shrimp and probably 1 or 2 more items. Thats why I liked it the more! As I'm not a sushi fan so going by my hubby's taste, sushi was okay doable for the price, nothing great. Regular fried and curry dishes were there, out of which I liked the bacon wrapped crab and chicken wings. Their dessert and salad bar are big too, I dint try any so no feedback there. Coming to cleanliness, there plates were not clean on several occasions. Plates are stacked up all the time but seems they rush and ignore on cleanliness. However, the restaurant as a whole was clean, be it the buffet area, dining area or tables etc. High time they give importance in cleaning there silverwares. Additionally, as many yelpites have already complained about their restrooms, so I have so far avoided from using it. Fuji grill and Kumo buffet, having located opposite to each other, a comparison is a must. Big price difference, Fuji costs lesser than Kumo. Fuji has more regular food options like chicken, beef, etc. While Kumo has more seafood and sushi options. Lots of similarities; similar dining configuration, buffet area, food quality, ambience and the overall experience.
