I ordered the shrimp tempora and the beef teriyaki thinking I was in for a real treat but was highly disappointed. The tempora was ok but the beef teriyaki was utterly disgusting. They used a really cheap cut of beef and the noodles tasted like they were boiled in toilet water. I couldn't eat it. And the soup and salad I got on the side were just as bad. No wonder Japanese people are so skinny. read more

Since I live upstairs from this place, I have eaten here quite a bit. I originally gave it 4 stars because the take out I used to get last year was amazing - I usually got a sushi roll and some tempura. Recently, I have taken guests and friends here and the quality of both the food and cooks has gone down tremendously. This is the second time they messed up their delivery order. I called to tell them that they didn't send the rice and the woman said it was her mistake but that I'll have to pay for it. Fuji has a great dinner selection, but I usually come for bar outings. Cheap beer, good and relatively cheap sushi, and interesting Friday and Saturday nights. It's a great place to have birthday celebrations and hang out with the gang. read more

Ah, I'm not much of yelper because that either means I had phenomenally good experience or a phenomenally miserable one. Given the one star, I experienced the ladder. Called for takeout and the woman on the phone already copped an attitude as though my business during a pandemic inconvenienced her (sorry ma'am). Placed my order, waited the 45 mins for pick up no problem. Get inside and the woman inside was yelling at a customer because he complained of her not processing her order placed an hour prior, thus making him wait longer. Most literally, yelling at him. Anyway, finally get acknowledged and get my order. It was incorrect, but I told the woman nbd and I'd pay for their careless mistakes regardless. I saw inside they were receiving many takeout orders, and I, too, am in the service industry, so I wasn't too annoyed, even tipped them. Now for the icing on the cake- I notice after leaving that my card has been charged twice. Not the end of the world, I wasn't angry, just wanted to call and ask them to reverse the second charge. The woman who answered the phone was the same lovely woman mentioned above, and told me that it would "correct itself eventually" and that she didn't charge me twice (which one is it...?). I responded by letting her know I was looking at two withdrawals out of my account, to which she responded it will fix itself "soon" and explicitly said she "did not have time for someone who doesn't know what they're talking about" and hung up. After getting home with an already bad taste in my mouth, figuratively, I tried the sushi I got and then had an even worse, mushy bad taste in my mouth (most literally). The sushi was mushy, bad quality fish, and poorly rolled. Ultimately, if I had the choice of getting handed free food from this restaurant and dealing with their atrocious staff again or contracting coronavirus, I think it's a safe bet that I'd rather toy with death. read more

Every time I visit my brother we end up going to this sushi bar. It seems to be one of the bigger hang outs in downtown Quincy. The sushi is great and artfully presented. The sake is always good and kind of a bargain. Try the scorpion bowl if you're aiming to get hammered. read more

As someone who is not a fan of Japanese food, I wasn't too excited about ordering delivery from here last night. My boyfriend loves sushi and I had heard repeatedly that this place was the best, so I decided I would try the Chicken Teriyaki (only thing I ever eat at Japanese Restaurants, and Im not a sushi fan). The food arrived pretty quickly and was fantastic. Beef Carpaccio appetizer was great and the Chicken Teriyaki came with enough for 3 people, a salad, and soup. It was delicious. The best part is that it came with actual Japanese sticky white rice and some sort of noodles that were cooked in the teriyaki sauce and were surprisingly nice and spicy. My boyfriend loved his sushi and said the eel was fantastic. I will definitely be dining there again and taking guests from out of town there if they want sushi/Japanese, which says a lot because I think most food in Boston is less than sub-par. HIGHLY recommend Fuji, and can't wait to have my leftovers tonight. read more

I had my best sushi outside of Japan at Fuji. The rolls were perfectly prepared and the service was prompt. My highest rating and MUST HAVE sushi is the Rising Sun Maki (deep fried salmon roll). It's exquisite and perfect on its own. I highly recommend that everyone in North Quincy check this place out for the food. The physical restaurant leaves a lot to be desired though. read more

Restaurant was filthy and the food tasted off. We ordered the chirashi, the rainbow roll and the super sushi and the raw fish was of extremely poor quality (smell was wrong texture was rotten). Restaurant needs to been seriously cleaned (Thick dirt is places near eating area) and the sushi chefs did not clean the bamboo rollers the entire time we were there and they were coated in grime. The food poisoning that awaits me later tonight is terrifying. Never again will we go to Fuji. Absolutely disgusting. read more

This place is a hole-in-the-wall. I would never have found it if someone didn't take me there. It was tucked in near a realty place!! The sushi is almost like every other place. They have specials on a big blackboard. Most of the combos come with miso soup and salad. We didn't know that and we were so baffled when the soup and salad kept coming!!! By far the best sushi and maki I've ever had. Their salmon sashimi is oh so fresh! When I go to other places, I get disappointed because I'm always comparing it to Fuji's. They also have this steak dish where you cook it on hot rocks with butter. That's yums when I'm not in the mood for sushi and maki. I also saw on the menu that they had hot pot. Never had but sounds interesting. The staff all greet you when you come in, including the sushi chef. They are all very nice and friendly. My bf and I come so often that they remember us and are always so so happy to see us. It is a pretty small restaurant, but I don't think we ever had to wait too long. Then again, I don't usually come on weekend nights. read more

This place is awesome - I live right near Ashmont, and they still deliver to me! I'm not a sushi snob, but I really like the sushi here. The spicy tuna, yellow tail and Cali rolls are all great. The spicy seafood soup is delicious, too (although the level of spicyness various between moderately spicy to very spicy). Only downside is that it is a little bit pricey (but really not bad - you get what you pay for). read more

I've given Fuji a couple of chances now since moving to Quincy in July - once for takeout, once for dining in. I've ordered sushi on both occasions and was just not impressed. The fish doesn't taste fresh, and the rolls are a little bland. It's just meh. My boyfriend and I much prefer Kagawa Sushi (now called Lensennn Noodles) right next door. read more

My daughter and I go as often as possible. Super Caterpillar Maki, Dragon Maki and Negihama Maki are usually what we order.

I have to say that the sushi at fuji are very good. Not to mention the unagi-don (not sure if I am spelling it correctly) rice bowl taste perfect, but they could peel off the eel's skin because it taste like a dry rug is on your tongue other than that it tastes great. read more

Fuji was the first sushi place I've tried in Boston, because all others were so $$$. I love Fuji, especially because they deliver all the way to Dot. There menu has everything a typical sushi restaurant would have, nothing super fancy though. There Phili Maki is my favorite and the Dragon roll is great too. There shrimp tempura appetizer is perfect, and they serve soda in a can. It's awesome. I would order from them every day, but I feel bad for the delivery guy who has to fight traffic and climb my stairs...anyway, it's great cheap sushi. + who doesn't love quincy? haha. read more

I think the fact that I saw one of the bets Bruins / Canadians games here gives me a nice warm feeling every time I come back. Edamame, sashimi, nigiri, bento box, Kirin.... is there anything better? We ordered delivery and I was impressed: they separated the hot food and the cold sushi into 2 different bags and included an ice pack for the sashimi. It was very considerate, the food was yummy and the delivery was quick. I haven't been to the restaurant but the delivery was perfect! read more

This is so far one of my to go sushi places. However, the quality of the food is not that consistent here and it's a little bit overpriced consider its location. I tried the bento box and the volcano roll. Both were good, but for the price I have paid, I ate something way better before. With that being said, the food is still good and you should make the trip to this restaurant for dinner because I won't recommend to come here for lunch. read more
