Tried someplace new for friends from out of town. Free city garage is right behind it, so that was a nice bonus. Relatively small and on a Saturday night, very busy. Made it kind of loud and had difficulty hearing the server. Massive menu. Lots of options. Got a selection of rolls and the udon. Some of the sauces were sweeter than we expected. Fried tofu was excellent. Small issues keep this from. Ring five stars. They have beautiful serving dishes but the put plastic flowers on them as the garnish. Super cool place in downtown Wheaton - they serve excellent fresh sushi and ramen. I got a bowl of the spicy chicken and the meat was 1) a large portion and 2) juicy. I like that you can choose if you want wide or thin noodles too. That was a plus. I would've wanted more spice to really amp the heat. The brown sugar boba is really nice. I do feel that tapioca should be included and not extra. However, the great thing about the boba is it's one size and it's really big for only $6 Definitely drop in - it's tons of seating and staff is quick and attentive. Wheaton needs more places like this- casual, kid friendly non fussy and just fun. They seem to have a bunch of things on the horizon to introduce casual Asian food to the downtown Wheaton scene. The flavors and ambiance is not what you'd anticipate in Wheaton but u Hope they stay around long enough to continuously improve. I could write a book about how yummy the food was and how great our waiters were... but I'll keep it brief :) Went out with a friend and we gave Fuji a try. It's now our favorite spot! I ordered a miso soup for an appetizer and a Naruto and Spicy Tuna for my entree. Loved, loved, loved my food! I'm a sushi snob so I'm always skeptical of new sushi spots in the area, but Fuji won my heart. The staff is also incredibly kind, intentional, and hardworking. The ambience is calm and relaxing. The have a decent sake selection that I am going to try out next time (when I'm not the driver haha!). Highly highly recommend you give this place a shot. Perfect for date night, family night, or just want to grab a warm cozy bowl of ramen on a cold night. Can't wait to come back! P.S: I just want to put it out there that we live in a post-COVID era where there are a LOT of entitled people that think that the world revolves around them. And that also includes their opinion. Sometimes restaurants get things wrong and that's ok. That's why I take people's opinions with a grain of salt. I guess I'm just not a fan of 'robot' food service with a human walking behind.... Maybe its 'fun' for kids, but was certainly annoying to us as diners, especially when the food could have been brought over a lot quicker, rather than waiting for R2D2. As far as the food, we ordered Ramen which was luke warm at best, not a lot of flavor and the meat was very tough/chewy. Very disappointing. read more

I decided to come back and give this place a second chance but the quality is not any better with their other items. Quality- the takoyaki was not bad. I liked the crunchy outside and soft creamy inside. It is not bad except for the sauce. I was not a fan of the Mayo type sauce they put on it. The ramen was still very watery and and not thick enough. Quantity- The bowls are very small for how much you are paying for it. Atmosphere- not a fan of the very bright lights. Brand new spot in Wheaton - nice to have a little more variety. Food is pretty decent - it's not super high quality but it's about what I expected. Food came quickly and the waiter was really nice. I didn't get to meet the robot delivery thing but maybe that's only for dinner. I'll be back because I live so close, and I hope it stays open because they seem like they are working hard. If you're looking for really good sushi or ramen though there are better places in Naperville or oakbrook. We eat a LOT of sushi... maybe one a week, literarily every week. We have tried just about every place in the area. Its pretty good. Like I have a hard time giving it a 4 star, but its not like a fancy 5 star in Chicago. Let's just say it is a 5 star medium quality sushi place. I always judge service by how quickly they fill my water glass, since I drink a lot of water, and they always had it topped off. We have been there a few times. One time we had "meh" service and it was because I think he was new. Pretty sure he doesn't even eat sushi himself as he didn't know what things were. But I'll give them a pass because finding people right now is terrible and right now they are batting 2 out of 3 in service and 3 out of 3 in medium quality sushi. We ordered the Gyoza and then three basic Maki Rolls and the sushi rice was overwhelmingly sour and the fish had no flavor and the gyoza had no flavor other than the oil it was fried in. My wife and I went to Fuji this past Sunday for lunch. We both had Ramen and ordered a kid's noddle with beef for our son. We also ordered a dragon roll. Let me be clear in saying that my review should not dissuade anybody from trying Fuji for themselves. A few things to consider, the size of the ramen bowl was good. The Ramen and broth was good. I liked the caramelized onions in it. It was something different for me. Overall, I liked it. Now, a few things to consider, regarding pricing and portions. I don't mind paying for a good bowl of Ramen as long as I feel that I'm getting my money's worth. In this case, this is where I feel Fuji may have fallen short. The amount of beef in my bowl was not enough to justify the price. I would also say that the quality of the beef was not what I expected for what I paid. I got a few strips and it was very fatty. If Fuji can just keep this in mind as an area to improve in and I don't mind going back. This will still not discourage me from going because a Ramen spot is needed in Wheaton. I'm happy it's there. The dragon roll was also a bit pricy. The sushi roll was good. With regards to Sushi, perhaps considering an all you can eat option. That may draw some crowds. I also ordered an Edamame which I also felt was a bit overpriced. With regards to children, perhaps adding the actual kid's menu options and prices. Check it out for yourself. It's a new business so hopefully they consider feedback from customers. read more

Yummy! I've been here several times and I love the Ramen and Soba options. The portions are good and it comes nice and hot. They have these robots that bring the food, which honestly I could do without. They're noisy and kind of silly, imo. But, I love that there's a good ramen/soba place here so I'll deal. LOL. The sushi is good, but I don't know that's is especially noteworthy. Lots of places to get good sushi and this is one of them. But definitely for the ramen. read more

Excited to have a quick date night at the new ramen spot! The lights were warm and just right. They clearly figured out a way to dim their lights (or turn off some of them). The ramen was delicious! The broth was creamy and seasoned well. Definitely not watery or bland as previous reviews suggested. Must have tweaked the recipes. Ramen typically isn't like Pho with a lot of broth. After the ramen, we were actually pretty full. We each also got a roll and an appetizer and struggled to finish everything! My rainbow roll was fresh and done well. My Caucasian husband liked his Wheaton roll. The tuna appetizer had a nice bite to it from a slight sear. Servers were very nice and attentive. We had a great time! read more

Tonight was my first time eating here after hearing my husband and our hockey billet son rave about how it's their go to now. They said they liked everything they ordered and it was all delicious. They have tried all kinds of rolls and the poke bowls. Tonight I tried the pot stickers, and the beef ramen. The broth was very flavorful and I would hands down be ordering it again. The pot stickers (Goyza) was not the typical ones you get everywhere else. They had great flavor and the dipping sauce was very tasty. Looking forward to going back to try more on the menu. I ordered the Dynamite roll and each bite melted in my mouth. It's such a classic roll but the flavors were well put together. We ordered 2 ramens; Beef Soyaki and the Spicy Chicken. The broth is amazing in the beef and the spicy chicken has the right amount of spice with the boiled egg perfectly cooked with a slight runny yolk. I got carry out from Fuji last night. The staff was very pleasant, kind and friendly. I ordered 3 Poke bowls, each different, and all were made correctly. We liked the taste, there was plenty of fish, the only thing we didn't love was the lettuce in it, we just weren't used to that in a Poke bowl, but it was east to remove and have on the side. We are defiantly going to go here for sit down dinner in the very near future! read more
