Been here a few times with family and now a few times with a friend or small group, and our experiences here have been almost all great. Unlike the Pho Barr in Clear Lake, this one does a much better job at managing service and the waitress I had on my most recent visit was very kind to both me and my friend. Food wise, I got the Mi Kho and Ultimate Fries. For a relatively low price, the Ultimate Fries give you A LOT of food, and I recommend getting it with the beef or pork, since they pair best with the egg yolk and other sauces on the fries. My Mi Kho was also really good. The broth was nice and rich and the Noodles themself were light and easy to eat with the sweet soy sauce. The atmosphere, particularly in daytime when light shines in through the restaurant front makes for a really comforting and open experience. Overall, Pho Barr deals with handling Vietnamese cuisine much better than other restaurants in the area and is definitely worth a try! read more

The food was really good and our server was great, but the hostess situation honestly annoyed me. When we walked in, she was already in the restroom. There's a sign at the front that literally says "wait to be seated," but since she wasn't there, our server ended up telling us we could just sit anywhere.I had knocked on the restroom door because I had to use it urgently and got no response. She was in there for so long that we had already sat down, ordered appetizers, looked through the menu, and when our server came back to take our order, we even asked for a couple more minutes because we hadn't decided yet. She still hadn't come out. You could literally hear TikToks or Reels playing from inside too.And I get it because I've been there. I've gone to the restroom at work and sat on my phone for a little bit too, so I'm not judging someone for taking a few extra minutes. But when you hear someone knock or hear them trying the door, I feel like that should be your clue that somebody is waiting to use the restroom and it's probably time to wrap it up. There are so many things I want to say about Pho Barr but not enough time, space, or words that could encapsulate my emotions. I used to live right down the street and would make it my Saturday ritual to go here for lunch, usually ordering their meatless pho or their chicken plate with chili oil. The food is always fast and delicious (and I'm craving some now as I write). But beyond just the cuisine, the location had great ambiance - I would oftentimes bring my laptop and then just study there for 4-5 hours. The staff were extremely friendly and almost every single one knew my order the minute I walked in. They hand make their chili oil btw, and they sell containers for you to take home - highly recommend! Their drinks are also amazing; I recommend the Vietnamese coffee and also their peach green tea with boba. Came in on my pho hunt and was pleasantly surprised! Upon walking in I was greeted and seated quickly. There's are lots of windows (so lots of natural lighting) which I really liked as well. So the menu! The menu has RANGE okay. Along with the usuals you will also find unique virtual finds such as grilled shrimp and ribeye. As 2 of my favorite proteins, I was make them excited to see them on the menu. On this day I was actually feeling fried rice so I got the rice platter with grilled ribeye and YUM. everything was so so good. I do wish the ribeye was a bittt more tender (I'm a medium girl) and the fried rice is a very simpleeeee fried rice (I liked it though). I also ordered the spring rolls which were tasty as well. Service: amazing! We arrived at the peak of lunch rush but were seated promptly and received food very quickly. All the servers were so kind and polite! Food: 10/10! I have had limited Viet food experience but this is definitely the best Pho I have had! The veggie pho was super flavorful and well spiced. The beef and chicken pho also was well rated at my table. When I saw that Pho Barr was at 646 in Dickinson (technically, League City), I assumed that the business moved from its NASA Road 1 location. It wasn't. Just the Vietnamese eatery's third branch. Having eaten at both this and the one a few miles north, I can say that the newest outpost is just as good, if not, better. I liked the grilled pork rice plate. The contents of the meal -- the entree, vegetables, rice, and pho -- were neatly arranged. The freshness was evident. The pork was flavorful albeit it was a bit sweet. Such a welcoming location to enjoy the best Pho available. Honestly, the tastiest Pho I've ever had. The owners are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. They really care about their restaurant and it shows. The grilled pork, both in my bahn mi and spring rolls, are juicy and very flavorful. Their fried pork dumplings were perfectly filled with a nice outer crunch. All their sauces are flawlessly paired with their entrees. The lemonade is the ideal combination of sweet and tangy. This was our first time visiting, and definitely a new favorite local spot. Despite a few reviews stating poor service and attitudes, we had excellent service. The employees were all very polite and moved with purpose. We enjoyed Beef Spring Rolls, Grilled Pork Rice Plate, and a Grilled Chicken Rice Plate. All dishes tasted wonderful and flavorful. The rice plates were plated nicely and then also served on trays. The fish sauce and bowl of soup that was served with them was also very flavorful and worth returning for. While there, the place did get busier and it appeared they did a lot of to-go orders also. These orders didn't interfere with their dine-in service. Best Vietnamese Food in the area! My husband and I ordered the Pho Tom (shrimp), Chicken Bahn Mi and the Ultimate Fries with beef. For dessert we got the Mango Mochi and a Wintermelon Green Tea to go. Everything was well seasoned and the flavors were delicious. The Pho was a perfect portion with large shrimp. Since I did not visit this restaurant in person and ordered through Ubereats, I don't have much to say about the service or the ambience but what I can say is that the food was great. I was in the mood for pho so I decided to give Pho Barr a try. I was so happy to see that they had a vegetarian broth option since I do not eat beef. I ordered the vegetarian noodle soup which came with fried tofu. I tried the tofu before assembling my pho and I was surprised that it was seasoned and had a bit of a sweet taste which was different to me. The other places that I've tried fried tofu from have always been fried without any type of flavor. I also appreciated the way the food was packaged. The vegetables and sauce come in a separate bag, the noodles with onions and your choice of protein is packaged separately in a bowl and the broth is packaged in a container. It also came with a soup spoon which I found to be thoughtful and very useful. This pho broth was good but not my favorite considering other places that I have tried but I will still order from here whenever I want pho again. read more

Im not the type of person to leave a review on somewhere i eat, but this place definitely deserved it, first i'm going to start with hospitality/service when i walked in i was immediately greeted and sat down, me and my friends are silly so when they came to ask for our drinks and order we made a-lot of jokes, but the server went along with them greatly, and i was very impressed! so thank you for that, also the lady that handed us our drinks was very very nice, it was very welcoming! Very good. First time trying this place. We did a Togo order. My family got a couple pho's and I had a bahn mi with pork. The pho broth was delicious and my bahn mi's pork was delicious. The bread was a little stale and hard compared to to others I have had but was still good. I would definitely be going back for the pho and to try other things on the menu. read more

First time here- they've been open since April but somehow I just found out about them. I guess because the old Pho 20 sign is still up and that's what I used to see while driving around. Anywho, I love that this place is around the neighborhood. It's super clean when we came during lunch, we were immediately greeted and seated by the lovely hostess/waitress. Our food and drinks came out with minimal waiting and everything we had was delish. My only complain is there wasn't enough beef on the Bo luc lac. For the price, I thought it would come with more beef. Still good nonetheless. The chicken vermicelli bowl was full of chicken though- and really great, fresh toppings and loved their homemade fish sauce. Overall enjoyed this place. The standout is the boba if I'm being honest. This isn't my favorite place to have pho, there's a few places that I prefer over it. The broth doesn't have the depth that I like and the sizes aren't comparable to a few places 10 minutes down the road. That being said, the boba is really incredible. The honey black tea is probably my favorite on the south side. The restaurant is cute with the neon signs and artwork but it wasn't really worth the subpar pho. I'll be back when I want milk tea but I'll go somewhere else for pho. read more

Before come let me tell you this. Last time we came also our first time there. Came in there was no one pick table for you(have to go pick ourselves.) Staffs are EXTREMETLY RUDE and ignoring the customers. The food is fine comparing to other local viet restaurant. Nothing like super good you can find here. Took forever to take our orders. Asked for sauce, and other foods, we got completely ignored by all the staffs (2 asian girls). Staffs went by and look away. Asked for 2nd time still got ignored, took us to the 4th time (they never respond back). One of the staffs grab a bottle of sauce and slam at our table without even looking at us. I don't know how they were trained here, but they prioritize other things than their customers. We came in ate for about 40-50 mins (No one come by to ask if everything is ok.) Don't expect to be treat well as customers here. Food is not even that great to cover their poorly customer's services. I always left 20-25% tip, but this time NO WAY! read more

The lack of appropriate amount of meat made like a veggie sandwich. The pork spring rolls had very little meat or romaine lettuce. There was 2 or 3 times the amount of noodles needed. The rolls did not stay together. They broke completely apart. Could not even pick them up to eat. Bigger is not always bigger. Even in Texas. Wanted to try some Vietnamese food today. Went to Pho Barr on a Thursday around 3:00pm. Menu was pretty straightforward. Went with a party of 4. Ordered pork and chicken rice plates and Pho Bo soup (refer to pictures). I had the grilled chicken rice plate. Loved the egg and rice, small broth soup and side veggies. Didn't care much for the fish sauce. Also ordered the strawberry lemonade which had a different taste than your normal restaurant strawberry lemonades I have had. The service was top notch!
