There are so many things I want to say about Pho Barr but not enough time, space, or words that could encapsulate my emotions. I used to live right down the street and would make it my Saturday ritual to go here for lunch, usually ordering their meatless pho or their chicken plate with chili oil. The food is always fast and delicious (and I'm craving some now as I write). But beyond just the cuisine, the location had great ambiance - I would oftentimes bring my laptop and then just study there for 4-5 hours. The staff were extremely friendly and almost every single one knew my order the minute I walked in. They hand make their chili oil btw, and they sell containers for you to take home - highly recommend! Their drinks are also amazing; I recommend the Vietnamese coffee and also their peach green tea with boba. Either way, this is a place that has delicious food AND extremely friendly service, and if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would!!

Came in on my pho hunt and was pleasantly surprised! Upon walking in I was greeted and seated quickly. There's are lots of windows (so lots of natural lighting) which I really liked as well. So the menu! The menu has RANGE okay. Along with the usuals you will also find unique virtual finds such as grilled shrimp and ribeye. As 2 of my favorite proteins, I was make them excited to see them on the menu. On this day I was actually feeling fried rice so I got the rice platter with grilled ribeye and YUM. everything was so so good. I do wish the ribeye was a bittt more tender (I'm a medium girl) and the fried rice is a very simpleeeee fried rice (I liked it though). I also ordered the spring rolls which were tasty as well. The drink was also so good! I got the taro milk tea but there were so many options for teas, coffees, and even fruit based drinks! Will definitely be back to try some more.

Service: amazing! We arrived at the peak of lunch rush but were seated promptly and received food very quickly. All the servers were so kind and polite! Food: 10/10! I have had limited Viet food experience but this is definitely the best Pho I have had! The veggie pho was super flavorful and well spiced. The beef and chicken pho also was well rated at my table. My table also enjoyed mama's special egg rolls. "Nothing like I've ever had before". Lastly our drinks were amazing! I got the passion fruit black tea with crystal boba and it was so light, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened. So glad to have a solid place to get pho from in this area!

Pho Barr was so amazing! I started with the pork dumplings and they were so good and crispy! My pho was very flavorful an a hearty portion. The servers were great there was 2 of them and they were so attentive and made sure I had everything I needed the whole time . And the restaurant itself was very cute and clean!

Let me start by saying it's def a vibe in here! I ordered the kid size Pho Bo and a brown sugar milk tea for my shopping excursion. The service was great, the pho was delicious and filling! This is my new Pho spot for sure.

When I saw that Pho Barr was at 646 in Dickinson (technically, League City), I assumed that the business moved from its NASA Road 1 location. It wasn't. Just the Vietnamese eatery's third branch. Having eaten at both this and the one a few miles north, I can say that the newest outpost is just as good, if not, better. I liked the grilled pork rice plate. The contents of the meal -- the entree, vegetables, rice, and pho -- were neatly arranged. The freshness was evident. The pork was flavorful albeit it was a bit sweet. It doesn't take from how I can see myself picking this item in future visits.

Such a welcoming location to enjoy the best Pho available. Honestly, the tastiest Pho I've ever had. The owners are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. They really care about their restaurant and it shows. The grilled pork, both in my bahn mi and spring rolls, are juicy and very flavorful. Their fried pork dumplings were perfectly filled with a nice outer crunch. All their sauces are flawlessly paired with their entrees. The lemonade is the ideal combination of sweet and tangy. We hardly ever have to wait to be seated and almost always see about 5-6 to-go orders fulfilled during our visits.

This was our first time visiting, and definitely a new favorite local spot. Despite a few reviews stating poor service and attitudes, we had excellent service. The employees were all very polite and moved with purpose. We enjoyed Beef Spring Rolls, Grilled Pork Rice Plate, and a Grilled Chicken Rice Plate. All dishes tasted wonderful and flavorful. The rice plates were plated nicely and then also served on trays. The fish sauce and bowl of soup that was served with them was also very flavorful and worth returning for. While there, the place did get busier and it appeared they did a lot of to-go orders also. These orders didn't interfere with their dine-in service. It's a smaller inside set up, and we were able to select our own table as were many others. Excited to return and try out some other dishes.

Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in a random little shopping center that anyone would normally just drive by and miss. The servers were all so friendly and very knowledgeable on the food, offering recommendations. We tried mamas egg rolls and they were pretty good. The beef pho was good and is great for cold weather. The pork vermicelli bowl was so delicious and so were the ultimate fries with beef and a fried egg. Yummy!

There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but I felt Basil House deserves a go. Essentially a hole in the wall, it's located along Palmer Highway not too far from where it meets 146. The building may look small, but the interior begs to differ somewhat. This is the third time I use "Vietnamese," but what's so unique about this eatery is that it also offers Thai dishes. I decided to do both for my first visit; I ordered a Vietnamese grilled pork rice plate and Thai chicken skewers. My orders arrived at my table at the same time, which I thought was nice. Regarding the skewers, the chicken was pretty sizable. It was so tender that it came off the stick after a bite or two. I must admit it was dry, but still a nice way to start a meal. As for the main star of the show, the rice plate, I have nothing but immense love for it. The kitchen staff wasn't stingy with the amount of meat they placed on the plate. Tender just like the chicken, the grilled pork carried a sweet taste that got even better when dipped in the accompanying fish sauce. Oh, I forgot to mention the skewers and the rice plate had cucumbers, which raised the tangy factor. I capped everything off with fried banana and vanilla ice cream. A man who I assumed was the owner of the place acted as my server. He did an outstanding job, refilling my drink and giving me extra napkins. By my estimate, Basil House is the closest Vietnamese restaurant to my house. No need to travel at least ten miles if I want my fill in ice plates, spring rolls, or even pho.

Wonder Pho came through. Our server Emily was very helpful and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy. I ordered a very straightforward Build Your Own pho. It was delicious. The broth was rich and had all the correct flavors. The meat offerings were correct. I had filet - some places no longer offer that option. My mom had the wonton soup with egg noodles. I ate most of it as leftovers. The dumplings were big and stuffed. The pork pieces were correct. The atmosphere is very standard Vietnamese restaurant. It looks newish and cleaner than most though. The staff, especially the owners, are incredibly friendly and often stop by to chat with your table, which gives the restaurant a warm, welcoming feel. We came by after a tennis tournament, and it ended up being the perfect post match meal. Although I am Vietnamese, I had never tried Banh Bot Chien (fried rice cake with egg) before, so I was excited to finally have it here. It definitely lived up to my expectations. The rice cakes were chewy on the inside with a crispy exterior, and the sauce paired with them was absolutely delicious. It is easily a must order dish. My dad and I also shared the Bun Bo Hue (spicy Vietnamese noodle soup). I thought it was fairly standard, not the most memorable bowl I have had, but still solid and enjoyable. For $12.99, the portion size is huge and could easily stretch into multiple meals, which makes it a great value. Overall, I really enjoyed trying this place, especially for the Banh Bot Chien and the welcoming service. While not everything stood out, it is a solid local spot that I would come back to when I am in the area.
