Another sushi review. If you are a "sushi traditionalist" this may not be the place for you but if you like to experiment, this is it. Standard size local place with a mini bar and sit down tables that has a menue that will make you dizzy. After looking at what is known as a "fusion sushi" menue for more that 10 min I gave up and ordered the standard sashimi & sushi lunch combo and a hand roll. I couldn't break my norm because of the eye strain I had reading what had to be at least 120 different types of sushi/sashimi items. This is a get in and get out place that is not bad or good, you walk out full and pleased. They have an untradtional wine list, plenty of beer and non- Japanese desert. Oh yeah, my sashimi had glowing lights under it.

Saw the good reviews and decided to stop by for dinner while on a work trip. The place looked great, but the service was a bit off. I was seated right away in the small, intimate dining room, so it's not like I was hard to miss--I was literally in the center. Still, I waited about 10 minutes before one of the two waiters even acknowledged me. They were keeping up with other orders, but I couldn't help but notice that people who came in after me got greeted, ordered drinks, and apps right away. Once I finally got my order in, the food was solid, and I enjoyed my meal. But honestly, the long wait just to be acknowledged makes me unsure if I'd come back. Maybe I just caught them on an off night.

Happy New Year. As good as it always is at any time of the year, but especially when they have Uni.

My husband and I just visited Ocean Sushi Grill, we went to have a late dinner, around 9. The place is small and inviting. The staff is very efficient, and they sure know what to recommend. We started with Uni sashimi ($12 a bite) was very fresh, just melts in your mouth, so good. Then we ordered a skin salmon "salad", this is baked salmon skin, could be crunchier but I liked it a lot, the flavor of the skin by itself is really good, comes with a sriracha dressing and some lettuce. We also tried the Shrimp ShuMai, the sweetness of the shrimp is everything in these little bites. Then we had a number 55 roll, this had salmon, scallops, cucumber and truffle oil which gives it an earthy flavor you can really taste, I think this was my favorite so far, flavors and textures, so good. Then we had a tuna and toro roll, the toro was so fresh almost sweet, delicious. I really liked the whole experience, it's definitely a place I recommend, they have a lot of types of seafood, fish and they really know their seafood, no wonder the name. Very satisfied.

I guess I forgot how amazing Ocean's sushi tasted. I brought one of my good friends here and we devoured our food. Food: 5/5 We first ordered some edamame to nibble on before our sushi arrived. We both order 3 of their speciality rolls. The Cowboy, Crazy Roll, and The Marina Bay. My favorite was The Cowboy roll. It had a thin slice of filet mignon on top and the sauce that was paired with it was delicious. Service: 5/5 The service was great, and she always made sure out drinks were full and answered all of questions. Ambiance: 4/5 Ocean Sushi Grill is very small inside. They maybe have about 10 tables and a bar area. I would for sure make reservations if you are going during a busy dinner time. Cleanliness: 5/5 Our table had no crumbs or leftover food from the other guests and the bathrooms were also very clean too.

Hawaiian Queen Roll on top and Marina Bay Roll on the bottom! Hawaiian queen was my favorite! So delish!

I was stuck in a hotel in Houston, so I ordered some items. Nigiri: King salmon, hamachi and escolar - wasn't sure about how many pieces but I was surprised it was each. They were decent, nothing out of the ordinary and a bit small. Rock shrimp tempura was great, I was surprised by the sweet/spicy coating. The edamame would have been perfect if they threw in salt some where.

Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

We started with the Pan‑Fried Pork Dumplings, delicious and surprisingly filling. For mains, we ordered the House Special Lo Mein and a Lunch Special that came with egg drop soup, fried rice, Szechuan shredded beef, and an egg roll. The soup was flavorful, thick, and nicely eggy. The fried rice was good, and the beef was tender and savory. The egg roll was also really good. The House Special Lo Mein, though, wasn't our favorite. The texture felt off, and the meat was colder than the noodles, so we couldn't really eat it. For a Chinese restaurant, the House Lo Mein is an important dish to get right. Overall, some hits and some misses.

I didn't feel like studying the menu, so asked the cashier what he recommended. He said the symphony box was his favorite so that's what i ordered. The symphony box didn't disappoint! The chicken was probably some of the best i've had, and the egg rolls were also delicious. I ordered mine with fried rice which was tasty as well. The inside is set up so you pay/order, get a number, self seat yourself, and they bring your food out once it's ready. There's some cool arcade games along the left wall. Would definitely come back here again if i'm in the area to try something else! It seems really popular among the locals for as busy as it was when i stopped in for lunch on a weekday.

When you first enter, you will notice that there is an ample amount of seating and there are gacha machines on the left side. You order at the front and they bring your food to your table. Now, we were aware that the ultimate bowls would have large portions because our friend warned us about that, but we were not expecting the chicken zoodle bowl to also be the same size. The portions here were huge. We did not finish any of the items that we got and had to take everything to go and were able to eat it for another 1-2 meals. They were really generous with the amount of protein given and the flavors were good. The pricing was really worth it also.

In a landscape littered with limp noodles and sauces that taste like they were mixed by committee, Wong Chef shows up with swagger. The food comes fast, hot, and unapologetically bold -- the way good takeout should. There's a rhythm to it. You order, blink, and suddenly there's a bag at your door radiating heat like it's been hustled straight from the wok to your doorstep. Not rushed -- urgent. Like someone in that kitchen understands that hunger is a real, living thing and they're not about to let you suffer. And the portions? They're not shy. They're the kind of generous servings that make you sit back halfway through and think, this is going to be even better tomorrow, if you somehow manage not to finish it all in one sitting. Every dish hits with layers -- heat, sweetness, salt, comfort -- the whole sensory passport stamped in one container. But the crown jewel is Chef Wong's General Tso's. This isn't the soggy, syrupy stuff you settle for at 11 p.m. This is crispy, saucy, addictive General Tso's that walks the tightrope between sweet and spicy without falling into the usual sticky mess. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause mid‑bite and mutter something unprintable in appreciation. Wong Chef isn't trying to reinvent anything. They're just doing the classics like they matter -- and that alone puts them miles ahead of the pack. When the craving hits for something fast, fiery, and made by people who clearly know their way around a wok, Wong Chef delivers. Literally and figuratively. If you want, I can punch this up even further -- sharper, grittier, more travel‑journal‑meets‑late‑night‑kitchen energy.
