I came in with a group of 8 for dinner. We arrived right at 7pm on a Wednesday zero wait, we were seated ASAP. We all ordered our drinks, and some Maki. Our waiter took very good care of us and we didn't have to wait long for refills. The Maki was very good and the hibachi experience and food was super good. I have been to several Japanese Steakhouses over the years and I will say this is one of the better ones I have been too. I highly recommend this one. Definitely a birthday dinner spot! There were 5 birthdays when we went, including our party and they come out to sing and bring a free dessert. We had a small issue with our reservation so had to wait quite a while at the bar, plus it was so busy that the bartender couldn't stay at the bar to get us refills. Our group took up both sides of the hibachi and our food was paced at closely the same time. The server was so nice and friendly, as well as the chef. We brought our children to Fuji house today so they could share in the experience of hibachi. It was wonderful! My husband and I would go here on our date nights and thought the kids would get a kick out of it. The steak, rice, soup, vegetables and everything was delicious! We really like this place over many of the local Hibachi style places. If we go with a group, it is always fun to sit at one of the big table and enjoy the show. If it is just the two of us, we prefer one of the smaller tables in front where it is a little less flamboyant. I agree with one of the other guests (Nate B) that the place can be dead on a week night, especially a Monday. We were there this week and it seemed like we were alone. Just before we left a few more tables filled, but it was still quiet. But this week it was fine. When we eat at the big tables we seldom get sushi because the portions are so large. But by ourselves we split a couple of roles and a meal. And, if earlier in the evening, several of the more popular roles are 1/2 price, which is a big help. This place is not the most expensive, but the prices can creep up fast if you go for sushi, meals and side dishes. You will also be leaving with doggy bags. I love the chicken and calamari mixed hibachi meals. My wife loves the chicken and steak or chicken and shrimp. We always get a side order of grilled veggies, they are great! Their yum-yum sauce is exactly as stated. My grandsons love it more than the food. But it is great to dip everything in, including sushi...if you are up to it. Try it on a weeknight, never overly busy. Weekends can get a little more crazy. Kids and adults always enjoy the live cooking show at the hibachi tables. My family has a yearly tradition of coming here on Christmas Eve for dinner. It's such a fun tradition that I look forward to every year. I don't really go here much any other time..so that makes our annual tradition even more special. The hibachi chefs are what make the experience..and I've never had a bad one here. Yes some are better than others but they're all good and make the evening fun. They start you off with soup and salad. The soup is delicious! I'm not a fan of salad but from what I hear from others is that it is wonderful as well. I always go with the chicken and steak combo. The dipping sauces they give you..I believe one is called yum-yum sauce..go perfectly with both the chicken and the steak. I'm not a rice person..I really don't like rice and never eat it..except here. I love the fried rice here. I don't know what they do to it exactly to make it taste so much better than other place's but it does. Overall highly recommend. And if you don't have a fun Christmas Eve tradition, try eating here. We were sitting at the hibachi table and the cook went to put the food on the plate and spilled one of the drinks all over our food all over our clothes. Their idea of fixing the issue was re-making the food and that was it. Still fully charged for everything nothing was comped, nothing was apologized for, nothing was taken care of. I typically get the hibachi steak lunch with fried rice, vegetables, and clear miso soup--all for $11! The food is usually served fast, and they also do a great job with to go orders. My steak is always cooked to a perfect medium, and the staff are friendly. The interior could use a bit of love, as the chandelier light bulbs have slowly burnt out one by one since I've been eating there, never again to be replaced. Alas, good restaurants are not made on light bulbs alone. They also used to have a gorgeous fountain inside that hasn't been in working order for a while.
